This is the second in a four-part series on the Last Days. In this study we will look at a Chronology of the events from the present time in history, up to the end of time here on the earth, as described in the Bible
Two of the most asked questions from those who are interested in Bible Prophecy, are
“What is going to happen next in the world?”
“What does the Bible have to say about the events of the Last Days?”
Jesus said that the entire scope of all Prophecy in the last days, is centered around the nation of Israel. For almost 2,000 years the Jews were scattered all over the face of the earth. Being without a land of their own, they had lost their national identity and their homeland.
While Israel was without their own country, the Prophet Ezekiel wrote of a time in the last days when God would draw the Jews from all over the face of the earth, and place them back to their own land again.
Ezekiel 37:21-22 “Then say to them, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land…
The promise of restoration by the Lord, is that once the Jews are back in their own land again, they will be protected by the Lord and dwell there permanently. Once they are in their land, in the last days, the Lord will allow Israel to rebuilt their Temple again and re-institute the temple sacrifice.
Ezekiel 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.
Israel is often referred to as being like a “fig tree” in the old testament:
Hosea 9:10 “I found Israel Like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers As the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season.
Jesus said that when we see the fig tree once again blossom and put forth leaves, that we know that summer is near. This is a poetic play on words that was understood by the Jews to mean that when Israel became a nation again, back in their own land, that the Lord’s return was near.
Matthew 24:32-36 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Many people make light of Bible Prophecy and view any serious study of prophecy a waste of time. Jesus taught that what a person believes about the last days and His return, were so important that to say in the heart that Jesus is not coming soon, could jeopardize your hope of eternal life.
Luke 12:45-46 But if that servant says in his heart, “My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect… the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
In Matthew chapter 24, verses 32-36, Jesus gave us the first step in knowing that we are living in the Last Days:
Israel back in her own land again.
Matthew 24:32-36 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
This event took place on May 14, 1948. In just a single day, a people who did not have a country, became a nation once again. Against all odds, and in one of the greatest miracles of all time, God kept His promise from Ezekiel chapter 36 and caused Israel to be the land that the Jews could call home again.
Whatever you believe about the Bible or Bible Prophecy, the fact is that no other nation in all of human history that has lost their country and national identity, has ever gone back into their former country again to resume their former identity. This is in light of the fact that the period of time that the Jews were without a homeland was close to 2,000 years.
The fact that Israel is a nation once again, against all odds, is reason enough to pay attention to what the Bible says will happen after Israel is back on the land that God had given them as an eternal inheritance.
Next, Jesus begins to describe the fact that when Israel is a nation again, the moral and spiritual conditions around the world will be in a rapid state of deterioration.
Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be
Today, on nearly every channel of television there are reports of rioting in the streets, revolts and uprisings. People all over the world are in rebellion over a variety of matters. The hearts of many of those on the earth are far from God and as a result, they are not aware that the end of all things is at hand.
Jesus said that when the world reaches a critical place of rebellion and self centeredness, He will be removing His church before the great time of tribulation arrives. Once the church is gone, a charismatic leader will emerge on the world scene and announce solutions to all of the world’s problems.
The Arab world will hail him as the 12th Imam, or Mahdi. The Jews will believe him to be their long awaited Messiah. The secular world will proclaim him as the greatest leader the world has ever know.
Revelation 13:4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
The whole world is in wonder at the present time over the massive number of natural disasters that have struck the earth in recent months. Even those who do not know the Lord are questioning what is happening in the world today and what it all might mean.
Paul wrote to Timothy and said that in the last days, “perilous times would come”:
2Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
The Lord has been speaking to man for nearly 6,000 years. His message has been the same. “Man is a fallen creature in rebellion to God”. The reason for all of the world’s problems stems from this rebellious and self-centered heart of man.
The answer to man’s problem is simple, but difficult for man to accept:
One: turn to God in repentance and He will abundantly pardon. Two: turn to God’s solution for man’s sin problem. Jesus who took upon Himself all of the sins of the world and paid the debt that all men owe to God, made eternal life possible. If anyone will turn to God in sincerity and repent from their sins, the Lord will pardon and show mercy.
God has spoken to man in so many different ways, and on so many various occasions, but he has not listened. Today the Lord is speaking to man one final time before He brings this present age to a conclusion. The end of all things is at hand, but there is still time to listen to the final word the Lord has for us:
Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.
Peter said that when we reach the final days of God’s attempt at speaking to man, there will be many who will scoff at the promises of God. They will claim that Jesus did not say He was going to return, and that He is never going to return. The basis for their claim will be that it has been over 2,000 years since the Bible claimed that Jesus would return, and He has still not returned.
2 Peter 3:3-4 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
What people forget who make these claims, is that God has already destroyed the world once for man’s rebellion and sin. There is evidence all over the face of the earth that a great cataclysmic flood has covered the earth with water. There are billions of animals, buried under tons of silt and debris, on every continent on the planet.
2 Peter 3:5 -6 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
In writing prophetically the Lord knew that this time in man’s history, we would reach the same place that the people of the earth had reached before the flood of Noah. Today man is at the pinnacle of sin and rebellion once again. Man has not improved socially or morally over the past 4,000 years, in fact he has gotten worse. As each ensuing generation stacks up one upon another, man becomes more vile and perverted and cares less and less for the things of God.
In response to man’s final degradation, the Lord wrote to us through Peter that at the end of the age, the earth will once again be destroyed by fire:
2Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Why has God waited so long to bring judgement to man if He hates his sin so much?
Time is a relative principle to those who are bound by it. For God who lives in the eternal realm, the passing of a thousand years is but a brief moment. The reason that the Lord has waited 2,000 years to bring the judgment of man’s sin in these last days, is because He is very patient and does not want to destroy man.
2 Peter 3:8-9 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Peter understood that when Jesus said something is going to happen, it is a certainty. When Peter made his public declaration that he would die with Jesus, the Lord told him that before the sun rose on a new day, Peter would deny that he even knew Jesus. As that day arrived, Peter failed and he realized that he had better listen to everything that Jesus said about the future.
With this knowledge in hand, Peter wrote about the events of the last days:
2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
Peter said that we should be “Looking for and Hastening the coming of Jesus”.
As we see the incredible events around the world taking place, we are reminded that Jesus told us that these things would happen and that the rapid increase in frequency and severity of natural and man-made disasters indicate to us that the Lord is about to return.
2 Peter 3:13-15 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
We should understand by the chaos and turmoil currently happening around the world, that the Lord’s return is near. The wise will be looking past the events happening today, to the future and what these events will bring: “A New Heaven and a New Earth in which righteousness dwells.”
Therefore, the effect of today’s crisis should cause us to live lives that are more pure and holy, abiding in Jesus more closely, so that when He comes we will not be ashamed.
2 Peter 3:17-18 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
The next event on the horizon of Bible Prophecy, is the Rapture of the Church: The return of Jesus to the outer atmosphere of the earth to remove all those who love Him and are waiting and watching for His return.
John 14:2-3 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
The church appears to the restraining force for the next event the secular world is waiting for; the revealing of the world leader known in the Bible as the antichrist.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way
Once the church is removed from the earth at the Rapture, the antichrist can be revealed to the world that is eagerly awaiting his appearing:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Many have stated that it is the Holy Spirit that is restraining the introduction of the antichrist. When the Holy Spirit is removed from the earth, the door will open for the antichrist. It is not possible that the Holy Spirit has departed the earth during the time of the seven-year tribulation, since there will be millions who are saved during those seven years. No one is saved apart from the leading and working of the Holy Spirit. The fact that many millions come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ during the seven years of tribulation, indicates that the Holy Spirit is still present on the earth.
in 2 Thessalonians 2, the term “Falling Away” comes from a Greek word that means “To Depart”. It can mean a departure from the faith as in an apostasy, but as it is applied to this verse, the term seems to be applicable to the church as a whole. The specific term for depart as it is applied to the context of 2 Thessalonians 2 is the “The Church will Depart”. A very plausible translation of this verse then would be:
“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day (The Tribulation) will not come unless the Church departs first, then the man of sin is revealed…”
Once the church departs and is out of the way, the door will be open for the world leader called the antichrist, to appear on the scene. When he does make his arrival into that period of history, he will be hailed as the greatest leader the world has ever known.
The beginning of his world acclaim will be upon his success in making a seven-year peace treaty between Israel and the surrounding nations.
Daniel chapter 9 describes this period of time as “One Week”. A week being seven years, is well established in Jewish tradition as well as in the scripture. When Laban tells Joseph to work for “One additional week for Rachel, it is defined as being seven years.”
Genesis 29:27 Fulfill her week, and we will give you this one also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.”
Daniel is given a prophecy of “Seventy Weeks”, which is 70 X 7 years, or 490 years. The first 7 weeks of years, or 49 years were finished in the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem that had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. The second period of 62 Weeks was taken up from the moment that Artaxerxes Longamones gave the decree for the Jews in captivity in Babylon, to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the city. This command was given on March 14, 445 B. C..
62 X 7 equals 483 years, or 173,880 days.
The date that this prophecy expired was April 6, 32 A.D., the date that Jesus rode into Jerusalem and for the first time in His ministry, allowed men to proclaim Him as the promised Messiah.
The entirety of this prophecy comes from Daniel chapter 9:24-27
Daniel 9:24-26 Seventy weeks (490 Years) are determined For your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem (March 14, 445 B. C.) Until Messiah the Prince, here shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; (173,880 days).
The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. And after the sixty-two weeks (483 years) Messiah shall be cut off (Crucified), but not for Himself; (April 14, 32 A. D.) And the people (Romans) of the prince (antichrist) who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary (Titus in 70 A. D.) The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolation’s are determined.
Daniel 9:27 Then he (antichrist) shall confirm a covenant with many for one week (7 years), But in the middle of the week (3 1/2 years) He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering (at the newly built temple) And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate. (The Abomination of Desolation: Matthew 24)
While this seven-year peace plan is in effect, the church (who was raptured at the beginning of the seven years) is already seen in heaven, singing a song of being redeemed by Jesus blood:
Revelation 5:9-10 And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
At the mid-way point of the seven years, as Daniel describes the “Abomination of Desolation”, the opening of the second seal will start the beginning of the last 3 1/2 years, called “The Great Tribulation”.
Chapter 6, verses 1 and 2 of Revelation is the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation by the signing of a seven-year peace treaty:
First Seal: Peace Treaty
Revelation 6:1-2 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a white horse (antichrist). He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer (to conquer by peace, same as Daniel 9:27).
Chapter 6, verse 3 of Revelation, is the opening of the second seal, which starts at the mid way point, or 3 1/2 years into the seven-year Tribulation. After a brief period of peace for 3 1/2 years, when the antichrist proclaims himself as God in the newly built temple in Jerusalem, this will begin the outpouring of Jesus wrath in the form of 21 judgments, divided into 3 sets of seven each.
Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets, Seven Bowls or Vials.
Second Seal: war
Revelation 6:3-4 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
Third Seal: The results of war; Shortage of food
Revelation 6:5-6 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”
Fourth Seal: The results of War and Famine; Death
Revelation 6:7-8 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Fifth Seal: Those who surrender to Christ during the Tribulation are killed and held under the altar in heaven:
Revelation 6:9-11 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.
Sixth Seal: Signs in the heavens and on earth of the wrath of the Lamb; Earthquakes, Suns light blocked, Moon turns red, Asteroids hitting earth, sky rolling up from nuclear explosions, tectonic shift in earth’s crust causing mountains to move.
Revelation 6:12-14 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
Despite the horrific judgments that are being poured out on the earth, men do not repent and turn to God. Notice that men know that these judgments are from Jesus, the Lamb.
Revelation 6:15-17 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
If you are reading this study and you are in the seven-year tribulation, it is important that you do not take the mark of the world leader on your right hand or your forehead. This mark is a sign of worship to the beast and will condemn you to eternal separation from God. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This profession of faith will cause the beast to kill you, but you will receive eternal life.
At the conclusion of the seven years, Jesus will return physically to the earth with all those who were raptured out of the earth before the Tribulation began. Revelation chapter 19 details this moment when Jesus departs heaven for earth, with His church:
Revelation 19:11-14 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
When Jesus arrives at the earth, it will be at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Just to the north, the antichrist will be waiting in the valley of Megiddo with a great army to kill Jesus. The Lord will slay the army with the words of His mouth. The blood from this carnage will be to the depth of a horse’s bridle for the entire 200 mile length of the valley of Armageddon.
Jesus will now set up the throne of David on the earth for 1,000 years. Those who have survived the seven-year Tribulation and did not take the mark of the beast, will be allowed to go into this new kingdom on the earth ruled by Jesus.
Satan will be captured and bound and thrown into the bottomless pit in the center of the earth for 1,000 years, during the time of Jesus’ earthly rule:
Revelation 20:1-3 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
Those believers in Jesus who dedicated their lives to Him while alive on the earth before the Rapture took place, will be given positions of authority by Jesus, during the 1,000-year reign. The basis for their scope of authority will come from the faithfulness they gave to the Lord in serving Him for His glory, while in their mortal bodies on earth.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
All of mankind who have died since the beginning of time and rejected God’s offer of the forgiveness of their sins, were held in hell until the end of this 1,000-year reign of Jesus. At the end of the 1,000 years they are resurrected and come to stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgement.
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Those who did believe in Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins and lived for Him, were resurrected at the Rapture. This second death at the Great White Throne is only for those who had rejected Jesus Christ.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison
Chapter 20 of Revelation is a description of the resurrection of the unrighteous who rejected Jesus Christ. They have all been held in hell since their death to await this moment, for their judgment. At the Great White Throne they will all stand before God with their sins and no method of removing them. Each will plead their own righteous deeds, but will be found inadequate and be found guilty. Those who claimed that they did not know about God’s requirement for salvation, will be shown their own heart by the Lord and the fact that they knew God existed and would judge their sin. The witness against them will be the Bible, the witness of creation that testifies of Gods’ power and existence, and the witness of all those who told them about Jesus.
Their names will not be in the Book of Life, they will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire, to die a second and final time for eternity.
Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
At the conclusion of the 1,000-year reign of Jesus and the Judgement of the Great White Throne, the present age will end. Jesus will speak and the earth and the heavens will melt with a fervent heat as Peter described:
2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord (seven year tribulation) will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Then Jesus will speak once more and create a new Heaven and Earth. A great square satellite called the “New Jerusalem” will descend out of heaven and arrive over the earth that is about 1500 miles cubed. It will remain suspended over the earth and will be the dwelling place of everyone who Loves the Lord.
Revelation 21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
Revelation 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The New Jerusalem is so large that it could hold comfortably, every person who has ever lived on the earth. God made room for everyone because He loves all people. That is why He sent His only Son to die for all of man’s sin, so that every person could have eternal life. People will miss heaven only because of their pride and hard heart that will not allow them to repent of their sins and come to God through the only way that God provided; Jesus Christ.
