    America’s Spiritual Heritage

    America’s Spiritual Heritage

“The Puritans understood 4 points of Government”

    Civil
    Church
    Family
    Self

They believed that all four of these forms of government came by a covenant with God.

Today, because the Church is not strong, the family is not strong, therefore self government is not strong, therefore we see the effects upon our civil government, it is weak and our freedoms are in great danger of being taken away.

It all started because America has been weakened Spiritually.

America is weak Spiritually because we do not know our Spiritual Heritage, we allow Secular Humanists to dictate to us the lie that America was not formed as a Christian Nation, and that the men that were used to found our nation, were not Christians.

They tell us that Religion has no place in American government, when in fact there would have been no American government had in not been for deeply Spiritual men who loved Jesus Christ and based our entire government on the Bible.

Fortunatly for all of us today, there is a public record of all of the events that happened at the forming of our nation.
You will be absolutely amazed at the amount of information that is available that confirms and establishes that the men that framed our constitution and signed our Declaration of Independence, were seeking to base the constitution and the laws of the United States on the Bible and Christian Principles.

  • Prophecy: Messiah Will Make Us As If We Never Sinned

Prophecy: Messiah Will Make Us As If We Never Sinned

The process of justification is a singular act of God whereby He removes the sins of a person and causes them to exist as if they had never sinned before. Justification and the resulting effects of this legal procedure declares a person “not guilty.” In the very essence of the word, “Justification” carries the Idea of perfection. If we dismantle the word, we see that it states within itself what it does: “Just-as-if-I-had-never-sinned.” The complete process of Justification transforms a guilty sinner into a morally perfect being, resulting in a standing before God that causes them to exist as if they had never sinned at any time throughout their life.

Justification is the only means by which a Holy God can accept a sinner and cleanse him of his sin so that he is fit for heaven. When anyone places his complete trust in the finished work that Jesus accomplished on the Cross, God justifies him and makes that person completely and perfectly righteous forever.

The process of justification does not mean that the sins of a person are swept aside or ignored. In order for justification to occur, a penalty must be executed upon the guilty person who has committed the sins. The penalty for sin is death. Therefore, no sin can be forgiven or removed until the death of the guilty has taken place.

The process of justification does, however, allow an innocent substitute to assume all of the failures of the guilty person and take the penalty himself. A large part of the plan of God in allowing Jesus to suffer for the sins of all men was that God would have a righteous basis to forgive our sins. The pronouncement of God was that the soul that sins will die.

Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.”

  • The Final Kingdom of this World

The Final Kingdom of this World

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

News every morning reminds us that this present world cannot continue under it’s current path for much longer. Global financial crisis, sin abounding, the hearts of many growing cold. Man is not getting better, more sophisticated and refined, he is increasingly becoming a debased creature with all restraint being cast off. As with many kingdoms before those presently on the earth, who by their inability to keep social morality controlled, gradually degraded themselves to the point where the were subdued. Not by any foreign enemy who crossed their borders with an invading army, but from within, by the collapse of social morals. If a proper examination is made of all great nations who enjoyed world-wide influence and power, it was by the acceptance of social sins such as homosexuality, abortion, and the normalcy of sexual perversion, that brought these nations to their knees.

    The Prophecy of Tyre

    The Prophecy of Tyre

About 2 1/2 to 3 years after the Lord predicted this prophecy against Tyre in 588 b.c., Nebuchadnezzar began his siege of Tyre. The way in which the Babylonians overcame a city was to surround it, cut off their food supply, and gradually starve the people into surrender. This was the method that Nebuchadnezzar used as he eventually overcame Jerusalem. The Babyloninas surrounded the city of Jerusalem, and cut off their food supply. When Jerusalm used up all of their food 2 years later, they became so hungry they were eating their own children, which incidentally the Lord had also also predicted. Jerusalem became so weakened by starvation that Nebuchadnezzar easily overcame the cityand took it captive.

The city of Tyre was a completely different matter… Tyre was on the coast of the mediterranean sea. The walls of the city went all the way up to the sea completely cutting off Tyre from any land attack. As He had done with Jerusalem, Nebuchadnezzar cut off all of Tyre’s food and water supply on the mainland, but he could not cut off Tyre’s food supply from the sea because their Phoenician navy was so powerful. Tyre also had plenty of fresh water suppl. Archeologists have discovered an underground spring in the ruins of Tyre that produces over 10 million gallons of fresh water per day! The siege by Nebuchadnezzar over Tyre took 13 years.

    The Prophecy of Seventy Weeks

    The Prophecy of Seventy Weeks

“To Finish the Transgression” . All of the rebellion of mankind against God will finally be at an end. God will destroy the present earth and the heavens in a great heat death (2 Peter 3:1). He will create a new heavens and earth from which a new order, or government completely orchestrated by God, will continue forever (Revelation 21:1). This will all come about as a result of the Messiah’s return to earth at the end of the seven year Tribulation, being inaugurated as “King of kings”. He is the subject of all 365 of these Old Testament prophecies, and the entire Bible itself.

The Building of the Third Temple in Israel

The Building of the Third Temple in Israel

Revelation Chapter 11:1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 “But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. This is a truly amazing chapter in the Book of Revelation. Remember that this was written about 90 A.D., more than 1,900 years ago, and yet it speaks clearly of the temple in Jerusalem being measured. At the time John is writing this, their own temple had already been destroyed in 70 A.D. by Titus and his Roman army. John sees a temple that is future for him, the Third temple that will exist on this site, will not be built until the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period. You see, we have a bit of a problem right now, in that the Islamic Religious site, the “Dome of the Rock”, occupies the Temple mount site in Jerusalem. How is it that John knew 1900 years ago, that a gentile religious building would occupy the temple mount site, other than the temple itself? If you think about it, this is an outrageous thought to any Fundamentalist Jew. That a gentile religious site would share the temple mount site with their temple. And yet 1900 years ago, John sees that there is just such a structure there in the outer court of the temple, amazing!

    Rosh Hashanah, and the Rapture

    Rosh Hashanah, and the Rapture

There are some skeptics of The Doctrine of the Rapture that say that this is not taught in the Bible. They do so while ignoring 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and other key bible verses that clearly describe the removal of believers in Jesus Christ from the earth.

Paul is writing this letter to the church in Thessalonica, to believers in Jesus Christ, because a false doctrine had been circulating that said that Jesus had already returned the second time to the earth. The believers there were concerned that if Jesus had already returned, then what happened to their loved ones who had already died, where were they? Paul writes to tell them that Jesus has not returned yet, and when He does return, here is what will happen.

Chuck Smith, Cancer, War in the Middle East, Great Opportunities

Chuck Smith, 84, who is the pastor of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, is undergoing treatment for lung cancer. However, he had no problem delivering a strong message of hope in a fallen world.

“We’re on the verge of, it looks like, a war in the Middle East that could expand into a global conflict of nuclear proportions. The economy is tanking. Many nations are on the verge of bankruptcy and our own nation is so many trillions of dollars in debt. It’s just amazing,” he said.

He began his talk on prophesy by quoting Bible verse Titus 2:13, which states, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

“Surely there is a blessed hope that we have as believers,” Smith told those in attendance. “As far as the world is concerned there’s not much hope. When you look at the world that we live in today, the future doesn’t look very bright.”

Are Increases in Natural Disasters a Sign of Jesus Return?

Are Increases in Natural Disasters a Sign of Jesus Return?

Whatever your opinion is of the occurrences of natural disasters, the data regarding the marked increase in frequency and intensity is compelling. It is not a coincidence that this data runs parallel to Jesus prediction that these natural events would indicate to the residents of earth that His supernatural return was near. In fact, the entire purpose of the 3,5oo0 prophetic predictions found in the 66 books of the Bible, of which over 3,00o have already been fulfilled with 100 precision and accuracy, is to prove to the reader that the Bible is a supernatural document from outside the domain of time. The reason that Jesus told us there would be an increase in natural disasters just prior to His return, was to prepare us so that we would not be caught off guard.

Signs of the Last Days: Scoffers of the “Rapture”

There are some today who claim that the Doctrine of the Rapture of the Church is not taught in the Bible. The proof that these skeptics offer is that the word “Rapture” is not found in the Bible.

Others critics of the event called the Rapture, claim that this doctrine was not known or taught in the early church, but became prominent only in the 1800′s.

Many other scoffers of the Rapture claim that the doctrine of the Rapture is “made up” and is a “false doctrine.”

Remember what satan told Eve? “Did God really say that if you eat of this fruit you will die?, You will not die…”

Today, thanks to the research of those who painstakingly translate ancient documents into the English language, such as the Grant Jeffrey organization, we have startling new evidence for the doctrine of the Rapture from the third century.

Isaiah’s Prophecy of the Man of Sorrows

Isaiah’s Prophecy of the Man of Sorrows

Isaiah wrote in vivid detail of the coming Messiah, and in a way that no other old testament prophet has equalled. In one of these specific prophecies that describe the Messiah as being a “Man of Sorrows”, we gain some understanding of the thoughts that Jesus had as He contemplated going to the Cross for us.

Isaiah 53:3 describes the fact that Messiah will find great sorrow and bitter grief in the hardness of men’s hearts and their inability to repent and receive Him. He shall be filled with great personal grief as He contemplates the cost required in the redemption of all men.

  • The Signs of Jesus Return

    The Signs of Jesus Return

The purpose of Bible prophecy is so that we might know that the Bible is not just another book penned by men, but a supernatural document with it’s source from outside time and space. The Bible is unique in that it makes predictions of the future with such detail and precision, that the slightest error would make any one of those prophecies unreliable. In over 2,500 Biblical prophecies, every single minute detail has been completed with precision and accuracy. The odds of any book being able to predict over 2,5o0 events in advance with 100 percent accuracy, is beyond the possibility of chance. The certainty of the fulfillment of these events already predicted and already fulfilled, gives confidence to the remaining 1,000 prophetic predictions that are yet to be fulfilled. If the Bible has been perfectly accurate so far, it is certain that the events spoken of describing the last days before Jesus returns, most certainly will also be fulfilled accurately. The following is a short list of some of those prophetic events already fulfilled, to be fulfilled and in the process of being fulfilled.

This article and the importance of the details of this article, are the reason that I started Bible Prophecy Update. So that you might realize that the Lord of the Universe has a plan that He has been unfolding for thousands of years, and that plan includes His desire to make Himself known to you. As you read, study and become familiar with the events of Bible prophecy, you will realize that the Lord is who He claims to be. That there is a God who is above all creation and who loves every human being equally and with great fervor. When we failed to be what He had created us to be and the defect of sin spread to all human kind, He took it upon Himself to become one of us, and give His life in exchange for all of ours. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on a Roman cross 2,000 years ago, paid the price all of us owed for our own individual and collective sins, forever. If you will place your complete trust in what Jesus has done for you at the Cross, and accept Jesus as your own Savior, you will be cleansed of your total sin and obtain eternal life.

When Jesus returns next, it will not be physically to the earth, but to the atmosphere above earth, from where He will call out of the earth all those who have already come into a personal relationship with Him and have accepted His sacrifice for their sins. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

The Prophecy of a “Humble King”

The Prophecy of a “Humble King”

Matthew 21:5 “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”

It was customary that when a magnificent king would make his entrance into a city, there would be great pomp and circumstance. Crowds were placed along the entrance route that were prepared for just such a great spectacle. No king ever came into a town or village in humility. The greatness of the king was underscored by the size of his entrance.

Zechariah the prophet wrote approximately 700 years before Jesus was born. He predicted that the greatest of all Kings would appear in Jerusalem, not with great spectacle, but in humility and simplicity. He would not arrive as most conquering kings, on a great stallion, but instead in the back of an unbroken foal of a donkey.

Whenever a king would arrive in a city on the back of a donkey, he was signaling that his arrival was in peace. When he came to conquer, he rode on the back of a great horse.

As Jesus arrives in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, April 2, 32 A. D., he did so in perfect fulfillment of Zechariah’s prophecy. The people who had gathered at the entrance to Jerusalem, held palm branches to be waved at the arriving king, customary for that day. As Jesus makes his entrance into Jerusalem, for the first time in his three year ministry, He allows Himself to be proclaimed as “The Messiah, the Son of David”, in fulfillment of all the old testament prophecies. Up to that day, Jesus would not allow pressure from even His disciples, to announce Himself as the promised Savior. Jesus came to fulfill the prophecies about the coming Savior and there was an appointed day for that arrival and announcement. He would not be moved from that objective by the pressures of any man.

  • The End of All Flesh: The Rise of the New Age

The End of All Flesh: The Rise of the New Age

The Bible describes the timing of this event as being the beginning of a period of seven years of Tribulation. Daniel chapter 11, and 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, indicate that a new world ruler will appear on the scene that will bring peace and calm to a world shattered by news of the disappearance of so many.

According to New Age philosophy, this world leader will also appear on the earth during the last days. He is referred to as the “Maitreya”, who will announce himself as the “Christ”.

The Bible describes this coming leader who is hailed as the “savior”, as being a “false Christ”, or “antichrist”.

During the last seven years of the current age, the Bible describes this false Christ as drawing most of the world into the worship of him as their God.

According to the authors of New Age doctrine, those who have disappeared during the Rapture, will be those who would have rebelled against this new Christ. New Age leader Ruth Montgomery, describes their New Age belief that the Messiah cannot appear on the earth until these troublesome ones have been removed, so that the earth is prepared for his coming. Those who are removed will be sent to another planet where they will be reprogrammed in their thinking. apparently this answer will satisfy most of the world population and they will hail this new leaders as the answer to all of man’s problems.

It will be the rise and pinnacle of the New Age movement that will eventually lead to the removal of the true church and the beginning of the seven year tribulation. The world view of New Age philosophy is that the planet is being prepared for a coming Christ and the uniting of the whole world under one government, one financial system, and one religious system, headed by one man.

  • The Return of Jesus and the Appearance of Antichrist

The Return of Jesus and the Appearance of Antichrist

For many who study Bible Prophecy, the return of Jesus Christ is the most interesting aspect of that study. To imagine that millions of Christians could be scattered all over the world, and in a single instant be translated together into the outer atmosphere of the earth, to meet the Lord, is amazing.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

What will the social and political climate of earth’s people be like when Jesus returns? What conditions will be necessary for Jesus to remove His church from the earth, and the introduction of the antichrist on the world scene?

Asteroid Near Miss on Tuesday: Warnings of Revelation Chapter 8

On Tuesday November 8, 2011, the Earth will encounter one of the closest “near miss” confrontations with an Asteroid, that has occurred in more than 40 years. Given the name Asteroid “2005 YU55″, there will be just 202,000 miles between this large asteroid and our planet. If that does not sound to you like much of a threat, understand that the moon is approximately 238,856 miles from earth. Imagine an object over 1,000 feet long, traveling at 30,000 miles per hour, and it’s distance from earth, less than that of the moon.

Were an object of this size to strike our planet, the force would be equal to over 500 nuclear explosions the size of Hiroshima, detonated all at once. A strike on our planet of this magnitude would generate massive tectonic plate shifts, Tsunamis in excess of 70 feet, and would annihilate many Island communities, as well as those living on the coastlands of mainland countries. The death toll could conceivably be in excess of several hundred million.

World Population Reaches 7 Billion: Signs of the Days of Noah

Statisticians report that the word has reaches 7 billion souls. With the massive increase in world population one wonders at the prophetic implications of such a monumental pinnacle. The last time the world population reached 7 billion, it was during the days of Noah. According to Mathematicians, the population of the earth after Adam, grew exponentially due to the life span of man being over 900 years. Using an algebraic calculation, the number of human beings at the time of Noah and the flood, could easily have been 7 billion people.

Jesus said that “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be”.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

The following is an illustration of how quickly the earth’s population could grow to 7 billion from, Adam to Noah:

Palm Sunday: A Day Chosen Out of Eternity.

Palm Sunday: A Day Chosen Out of Eternity.

April 17, 2011 is Palm Sunday

On this Palm Sunday, many people will go to church and never realize the importance of this single day in the lives of every human being on the earth.

The Lord determined that He would tell us the exact day that the Savior of the world would come to the earth, and He revealed this day through this word of Prophecy.

Jesus condemned the leaders in Israel because they did not recognize the day of His first coming:

Luke 19:41-44 Now as Jesus drew near, He saw the city of Jerusalem and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

This “Day of visitation” was predicted in the Old Testament Book of Daniel, and this prophecy in Daniel is the key to all other Bible Prophecy and an understanding of the Second Coming of Jesus to the Earth.
