After 17 days of demonstrations in Egypt, and 30 years of rule, President Hosni Mubarak has ended his dictatorship of Egypt. With the fall of the dictatorship of Egypt and the stepping down of Hosni Mubarak, we are going to see similar movements in other Arab nations in the coming months.
There is great concern in Saudi Arabia that a parallel movement will begin shortly in their kingdom. The government leadership in Saudi Arabia is watching the events happening in Egypt today with great interest.
The Society of the Muslim Brothers, also known as “Al-IkhwÄn.” claims that they do not want a role in any new government of Egypt.
According to their own definition, “The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamist transnational movement and the largest political opposition organization in many Arab States.”
Founded in 1928 in Egypt by the Islamic scholar and school teacher Hassan al-Banna. It is the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood to make the Qur’an and Sunnah the rule of law and governing authority for the entire world.
Using the Qur’an as their governing authority, the Brotherhood believes that they have “The Perfect Way of Life” by controlling government and societies with Islamic Government. Their ultimate stated goal is to unify the world in a “Caliphate”, which is an all out and total control of every facet of life by Islam and the Qur’an. Under Caliphate, the Islamic rule seeks worldwide domination of every country and nation.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s stated mission is as follows: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”
If you notice, the logo or badge for the Muslim Brotherhood has two swords under the Qur’an. Does that sound like a peaceful movement to you?
The group claims to be non violent and condemn terrorism, while at the same time they have been tied to numerous terrorist activities.
Many of the 9/11 conspirators came from the Muslim Brotherhood, including Osama bin Laden, Ayman Zawahiri and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed,” was an al-Qaeda leader described in the 9/11 Commission Report as “the principal architect of the 9/11 attacks.”
Factions of the Brotherhood have often called for violence against the Jewish people and the nation of Israel.
The Muslim Brotherhood rose to prominence in 1936 when they apposed the rule of England over Egypt. There were many incidents of violence in which the Brotherhood were linked during the Arab defeat of Egypt in 1948.
During the Coup of Egypt in 1952, the Brotherhood supported those who made the takeover.
In 2005, the Muslim Brotherhood won over 20% of the seats in Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak’s government and were quickly suppressed by Mubarak.
It is for certain that despite the denial of those in the Muslim Brotherhood leadership that they will not interfere in a new Egyptian government, in reality they seek the total domination of any new Egyptian government as an absolute necessity.
The Muslim Brotherhood has been the largest opposition movement in Egypt, and have sought to establish an Islamic state in Egypt governed by sharia or Islamic law.
With worldwide domination by the Qur’an as their goal, gaining Egypt as their crown jewel is and absolute necessity for the Brotherhood.
Once the Muslim Brotherhood has Egypt under their control, it is for certain that they will move with the other Muslim nations to achieve their ultimate goal of total annihilation of Israel.
From a Biblical perspective and examining the Prophecies of the Bible concerning Israel, God will not allow the nation of Israel to be destroyed by any Muslim nation and will supernaturally stop any attack by any faction that seeks the destruction of Israel.
Deuteronomy 7:23 “But the LORD your God will deliver them over to you, and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed. And He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one shall be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.”
Daniel 12:1 “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.”
Total Arab Population Surrounding Israel = 271,056,560
Total Population of Israel = 5,186,367
It is possible that the Lord is about to demonstrate His Power and Glory in these “Latter Days”, by stirring up the Arab nations that surround Israel to make an attack against Israel, so He can miraculously deliver her.
The focus of the Lord’s attention is on Israel and Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:2-3“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
On Monday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Natanuahu made the following observations about the role of the Muslim Brotherhood and their role in Egypt:
“Our commitment, our goal is the maintenance and the expansion of peace. But as we think about the dramatic events that are taking place in Egypt, let’s not lose sight of an even greater earthquake, greater than everything that I described, that could rock our region and rock the world and rock each of your countries and Europe if Iran were to develop nuclear weapons.”
“Here’s what Iran is doing today. It’s in Afghanistan; it’s in Iraq; it’s in the Yemen; it’s pretty much taken over Lebanon; it’s taken over Gaza; it’s in the Horn of Africa; it’s even sending its tentacles to the Western Hemisphere, penetrating Latin America. This is what Iran is doing today without nuclear weapons. Imagine what they will do tomorrow with nuclear weapons.”
“Iran already has missiles that reach well beyond Israel. They’re not developing these long-range missiles for us; they can reach us. They’re developing it for you, to reach you. With each passing day, those missiles bring more of Europe into range. And I have some bad news for you: Jose Maria, you’re in the caliphate. They talk about a new caliphate. There’s anyone here from Romania? Borderline. Sweden? You’re out of it for now. They say they can’t possibly mean this, it cannot be that in the 21st century people speak of caliphates, of new-found empires, of an ideology that is suited not for the 21st century but for the 9th century.”
“I urge you not to underestimate this threat to our common civilization. It’s hard for people to understand, especially for Westerners. It’s hard for them to understand fanaticism — especially if sometimes it wears a suit and a tie, or a suit without a tie. It’s very hard to understand that. But it’s there.
“You ask yourself, for example, what was the Taliban thinking when they enabled the dispatch of al-Qaeda to bomb New York and Washington. What were they thinking? Were they thinking that the United States would not send an army to bring down their regime? Could they have been that crazy, or that stupid? They weren’t stupid. They were totally irrational.
“Today there’s a competition between the militant Sunnis and the militant Shiites. The militant Shiites have a state. That state is developing nuclear weapons, with unbridled ambitions for power and dominance. They see the United States as the great Satan, we’re the little Satan, and you’re somewhere in between. You’re a middle-sized Satan. That’s how they view us. And there’s no room in the world, in their world, for us and for our societies.
“I believe that the greatest threat facing the world today is the possibility that a militant Islamic regime will meet up with nuclear weapons, or that nuclear weapons will meet up with a militant Islamic regime. The first is called Iran, the second is called Pakistan. Given the events that are unfolding in our region, there are other possibilities as well. This cannot be allowed to happen.”
“The good news is that nothing is inevitable. We have the power to protect our common civilization, to roll back the forces of radicalism and to advance a secure peace. One of the keys to defeating this fanaticism is to be able to distinguish friends from enemies. In this battle between the 21st century and the 9th century, between freedom and despotism, between progress and primitivism, Europe and Israel stand squarely on the same side…..”
With the appearance of the Muslim Brotherhood at this stage of history and the toppling of the current Egyptian government, the events just prior to the start of the seven-year Tribulation and the return of Jesus may be imminent.
I cannot imagine a more exciting time to be alive on the earth as the events we see on television and read in the press every day, are pointing the world to the finality of God’s plan for this present age.
