Prophecy: Earth Will be Struck by a Giant Asteroid

As we examine the world today. Increases in violence, and the prevalence of evil all over the face of the earth, we understand that the return of Jesus for His church at the event called “the Rapture”, cannot be far off. When the Rapture takes place, the world will begin the events described in the Book of Revelation, chapter 6, “The Tribulation Period.” Beginning at Revelation chapter 6, the opening of the first “seal” by Jesus, commences a seven year peace instituted by someone who appears to be like Jesus, but will instead be the “antichrist” coming as a false “Savior”. He is described by chapter 6, verse 1 as riding on a white horse similar to the description of Jesus in Revelation chapter 19, when He returns to earth.

At the opening of the second seal, the temporary peace that the antichrist has brought, is interrupted at the middle of the seven years, by war. The Third seal reveals the results of a massive global war; a shortage of food. The Fourth seal reveals global death from the war that has ensued. The fifth seal reveals the murder of those who receive Jesus as their Savior during this time. The sixth seal begins a description that sounds like a massive onslaught of Asteroids making contact with the earth.

  • If December 21, 2012 is The End of the World, Are You Ready?

If December 21, 2012 is The End of the World, Are You Ready?

It is just one day before the world is supposed to end, according to some not-so-experts. Survival gear, Ready-to-Eat meals, guns and ammunition are selling at a brisk pace. Many people are taking the threat of Earth’s end seriously.

Scientists say that there is no chance that the world will end tomorrow. Theologians postulate that there is no indication in the Bible that December 21, 2012 is the end of the world.

I have written extensively on the subject, and I am certain that there are no Biblical prophecies that define 12-21-2012 as the final day of the existence of life on earth.

The Bible does say that the end of the world will come at a specific time, and it actually tells us the precise moment that the end of the world will occur. First Jesus will return to the earth in an event called “The Rapture”. This will happen quickly, violently, and without any warning. Suddenly, perhaps a Billion people will disappear from the earth and be seen no more.

The Bible describes the Rapture with these words:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Verse 18 encourages those who understand the meaning of these words, to find “comfort” in them. If we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and are awaiting His return, then these words can bring us great comfort. If on the other hand, we have not committed our life to Jesus Christ, then the thought of a Billion people suddenly vanishing from the face of the earth is very frightening.

Breaking News: Quakes Strike Argentina and China

    6.4 Quake strikes Northern Argentina
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck northern Argentina early on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake occurred at 2:07 a.m. local time (5.07 a.m. British time) and was centred 72 miles (116 km) east-southeast of Santiago del Estero, the USGS said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the quake, which was upgraded from an initial 6.3.

    4.7 Quake hits Northern China
BEIJING – A moderate earthquake has sent ripples across the north China plain, shaking buildings in Beijing but leaving no reports of damage or injuries.

The quake that struck at 10:22 a.m. Monday was centered 125 miles east of Beijing. It was listed at magnitude 4.7 by the U.S. Geological Survey and 4.8 by the Beijing Earthquake Bureau.

At the epicenter in Luan county, operators at several hotels said guests staying on upper floors felt the buildings sway. People in Beijing took to Chinese versions of Twitter to say buildings shuddered.

An earthquake in the same region in 1976 was one of China’s deadliest. Located near the city of Tangshan, the quake left more than 240,000 dead.

5.8 Earthquake in D.C. A Sign of Things to Come

5.8 Earthquake in D.C. A Sign of Things to Come

Haggai 2:6-7 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come:

A Magnitude 5.8 earthquake that struck Mineral, Virginia on Tuesday was the largest quake recorded in history for that region of the U.S. The quake was felt along the eastern seaboard from Florida to New York.

The United States has over 1,400 earthquakes each year and that number is increasing in both frequency and severity.

Could it be that this larger than normal quake is a sign of things to come as we approach the coming of Jesus for His Church?

The Last Days: Where Is The World Headed?

For many people the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, the ensuing Tsunami, Nuclear Meltdown and spread of radioactive debris across the atmosphere, teamed with the Arab uprising in several countries, has caused a great pause in our questions for tomorrow.

What is coming next? Where is all this leading? What does the Bible have to say about these events and are they an indication that we are living in the Last Days?

In the last part of Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus began to explain what the conditions of the world would be like in the final days.

Matthew 24:3-8 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

The disciples wanted to know when the last days would arrive and what would be the signs of Jesus’ return.

    Jesus said:

The last days would be characterized by a great time of Deception.
Many will come and claim to be the Christ.
There will be many wars and rumors of wars.
There will be Famines, Pestilences, and Earthquakes in various places.

Nuclear Meltdown and the Book of Revelation

Jeremiah 23:15 “Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; ‘Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, And make them drink the water of gall’ ”

The term “Wormwood” is connected with judgment from God. It is not a mistake that the Holy Spirit chose this term here in describing this third objects contact with the fresh water supply of the earth.

What intrigues me at this point is that the term “Wormwood” has also been used in describing nuclear events on the earth.

The Russian word for “Wormwood” is “Chernobyl”

The worst nuclear reactor meltdown tragedy in history happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Facility on April 26, 1986 at 1:23 am in the Ukraine, Russia. Reactor four of the facility suffered a catastrophic increase in power that led to an explosion of the core and nuclear meltdown of the reactor. The explosion dispersed large quantities of nuclear material into the earth’s atmosphere and turned the fresh water supplies for hundreds of miles around Chernobyl “Bitter” or Poisonous and undrinkable.

Isn’t it interesting that the term “Wormwood ” in the Book of Revelation is used to describe an event of the last days that has a long Biblical history of meaning “Judgement”.

Second Explosion From Japanese Nuclear Plant

Second Explosion From Japanese Nuclear Plant

A second Hydrogen explosion has happened at Unit 3 of Fukushima Dai-ichi plant in northern Japan. Similar to Unit 1 at the same location, this new explosion is likely to have been cause by the same set of circumstances.

Although the core of the Nuclear material is encased in a pill shaped structure made from 6 inch thick stainless steel, the explosion occurred inside the concrete containment building that surrounds the pill shaped Nuclear Vessel.

The cause of the Hydrogen gas inside the concrete containment building comes from the Zirconium Alloy that lines the fuel rod assemblies. As the heat builds up inside the Nuclear Vessel, at about 4,000 degrees the Zirconium lining begins to melt. As this melting metal makes contact with the coolant in the Vessel the steam generated consists of Hydrogen gas that is highly combustible.

    The Anatomy of a Tsunami

    The Anatomy of a Tsunami

Traveling at more than 500 miles an hour by the violent action of a displaced sea floor, volcanic eruptions, underwater landslides or tectonic earthquakes, massive amounts of sea water are thrust upward into a series of waves. Called a Tsunami (Tsoo-nah-mee) by the Japanese, the name of this ocean phenomenon comes from the Japanese words “Harbor Wave”.

Traveling with the force of the entire ocean within the wave, these monsters of the deep are barely recognizable in the open sea. A ship traveling across the ocean would most likely not even detect a Tsunami moving at subsonic speeds as it passes underneath.

It is only when the depth of water begins to decrease as land approaches, that these leviathans of the deep raise themselves into a force that can destroy an entire city in a few minutes.

9.0 Quake Hits Japan, Signals Increase In Disasters

9.0 Quake Hits Japan, Signals Increase In Disasters

A massive 8.9 Earthquake has struck the east coast of Japan, near the city of Honshu. Reports are still coming in of the damage. Early eye witness accounts report a 33 foot Tsunami has already killed hundreds of people near Honshu as bodies are already being washed up on the shore of this city.

This Monster earthquake in Japan is 3,000 more powerful than the devastating earthquake that hit San Francisco in 1989.

The west coast of the United States is waiting for the Tsunami to hit. Estimated times and locations for the Tsunami to strike are as follows:

    Seattle: 11:44 am
    San Francisco: 11:16 am
    Santa Monica: 11:39 am
    New Port Beach: 11:45 am

Signs of Jesus Return: Earthquake Rocks Israel

The book of Zechariah describes the fact that when Jesus returns to earth at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period, it will be at the mount of Olives just outside Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:4 “And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.”

At the moment that Jesus feet touch the soil of the mount of olives, the earth will fracture and split into two pieces moving north and south.

Scientists have discovered that one of the largest tectonic plate faults on the earth is in this area of the Jordan valley. Many years ago a large hotel had planned to build a resort on the mount of olives. After an extensive study of the site it was discovered that there was a large fracture in the earth running right through the middle of the mount of olives. Plans to build this new resort were discontinued indefinitely.

On Saturday a moderate earthquake measuring 4.o on the Richter scale shook the northern portion of the Jordan valley causing many Israeli’s who live in that area to panic. It was only a mild earthquake and did little damage, this time. It is for certain that as the day of Jesus return for His church at the Rapture is to happen at any moment now, the early birth pains of the day Zechariah spoke of when the mount of olives will split, is also growing nearer.

Signs of the Last Days: Historic Weather and Disasters

Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, volcanoes, super typhoons, blizzards, landslides and droughts killed at least a quarter million people in 2010 — the deadliest year in more than a generation. More people were killed worldwide by natural disasters this year than have been killed in terrorism attacks in the past 40 years combined.

“It just seemed like it was back-to-back and it came in waves,” said Craig Fugate, who heads the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency. It handled a record number of disasters in 2010.

“The term `100-year event’ really lost its meaning this year.” And we have ourselves to blame most of the time, scientists and disaster experts say. Even though many catastrophes have the ring of random chance, the hand of man made this a particularly deadly, costly, extreme and weird year for everything from wild weather to earthquakes.

Indonesia Hit Again with Massive 7.7 Earthquake and Tsunami

Indonesia Hit Again with Massive 7.7 Earthquake and Tsunami

Jakarta, Indonesia (CNN) — At least 112 people were killed and 502 others were missing after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Sumatra on Monday and triggered a tsunami, Indonesian officials said Tuesday. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake generated a “significant” tsunami. Some of the missing may include people who are unaccounted for after fleeing to higher ground, said Henri Dori Satoko, the head of the Mentawai Islands parliament.

Although communication with remote areas was difficult, some witnesses in West Sumatra reported seeing a wave 6 meters (nearly 20 feet) high. Other reports described the tsunami as being about 3 meters (almost 10 feet) high. Satoko said at least one village with a population of about 200 people was swept away, with only 40 people recovered. Eight to 10 Australians on board a tourist vessel who had been feared missing were reported to be safe, Satoko said. “All foreign tourists are safe.”.

The numbers of dead and injured were in flux because information was trickling in from remote parts of Indonesia, a country made up of myriad islands. The area believed hardest-hit was the Mentawai Islands, a popular surfing destination. In particular, Pagai Island was thought to have been affected, said Ita Balanda, a program manager for World Vision in Padang.

Earthquake, Tsunami and Volcanic Eruption Strikes Indonesia

PADANG, Indonesia — Rescuers battled rough seas Tuesday to reach remote Indonesian islands pounded by a 10-foot tsunami that swept away homes, killing at least 113 people. Scores more were missing and information was only beginning to trickle in from the sparsely populated surfing destination, so casualties were expected to rise.

The fault that ruptured Monday on Sumatra island’s coast also caused the 2004 quake and monster Indian Ocean tsunami that killed 230,000 people in a dozen countries. Though hundreds of disaster officials were unable to get to many of the villages on the Mentawai islands — reachable only by a 12-hour boat ride — they were preparing for the worst. “We have 200 body bags on the way, just in case,” said Mujiharto, who heads the Health Ministry’s crisis center, shortly before announcing a five-fold increase in the death toll.

Signs on the Earth: Global Changes in Weather

A “Super Typhoon” with winds over 160 miles per hour struck the northern part of Luzon in the Philippines yesterday. The soil in large parts of the southern hemisphere of the world have been drying for nearly ten years. Marked increases in global tectonic plate shifts causing massive earthquakes around the world have increased by over 500 percent in the last 50 years.

In Los Angeles California, a new study has shown that an earthquake in Haiti could mean that similar coastal cities such as Los Angeles are at high risk of deadly Tsunami’s or a Mega Tsunami. When geologists studied the magnitude 7 earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010, they discovered the increased risk for Los Angeles and other cities such as Kingston Jamaica and Istanbul Turkey.

An undersea earthquake just off shore in Southern California could trigger a massive underwater landslide, which could in turn cause a massive tsunami to slam into the low lying around Los Angels within just one minute.

    What is a Mega Tsunami?

    What is a Mega Tsunami?

A mega-tsunami is simply a gigantic wave, one big enough to cross oceans and destroy cities. They can be thousands of feet high moving at supersonic speeds. They can be caused by huge meteors crashing into the ocean, or by massive landslides. No boat or building hit by a mega tsunami could survive. But now scientists believe that we could be sitting on a time bomb, that sooner or later one will destroy New York, Boston and Miami, and that nothing could stop it.

    When was the biggest tsunami?

The largest tsunami in recorded history was in Lituya Bay, Canada, 1958. An earthquake measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale caused 40 million cubic metres of rock to fall into the sea. A wave more than half a kilometre high was created that surged through the bay devastating all in its path. This was not even a mega-tsunami, by these standards it was tiny, but it did show scientists what sort of wave a small landslide could cause. But what would be the effect of a big one?

    Two Powerful Earthquakes Rock Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Two powerful earthquakes hit waters off eastern Indonesia in rapid succession Thursday, prompting officials to briefly trigger a tsunami warning. The U.S. Geological Survey said a 7.2 magnitude quake off Papua province, centered just 7 miles (12 kilometers) beneath the ocean floor, struck less than a minute after a 6.6 temblor in the same location.

Several strong aftershocks followed. The quakes rocked the nearby islands of Tual and Dodo at around 2 a.m. local time as people were sleeping, police said, adding there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The region on Indonesia’s easternmost edge is remote and sparsely populated. Located 1,800 miles (2,900 kilometers) from the capital, Jakarta, the epicenter was closer to the northern Australian city of Darwin, which sits some 560 miles (900 kilometers) to the south

    7.0 Earthquake Hits New Guinea

PORT MORESBY — A major 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck a remote mountainous region of the Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea on Thursday, seismologists said, causing panic but no initial damage or injuries. The quake hit a sparsely populated area of the island of New Britain at 8:01 am (2201 GMT Wednesday) at a depth of 54 kilometres, the US Geological Survey (USGS) and the Papua New Guinea Earthquake Office said. “We are not aware of any damage at this point, but it was pretty strongly felt in the town of Kimbe and on other parts of the island, people are really shaken up,” seismologist Lawrence Anton of the PNG Earthquake Office told AFP. The quake hit about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the centre of a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that hit the region in July. The epicentre of the latest quake was 145 kilometres east of Kandrian, on New Britain, and 570 kilometres east of Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea.
