• Will Reza Aslan’s New Book “Zealot” Hurt Jesus?

Will Reza Aslan’s New Book “Zealot” Hurt Jesus?

It does not appear that it is really that important whether a Muslim writes a book about Jesus, or an Atheist claims that there is no God. For 2,000 years the kingdoms and governments of this world have been massively influenced by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The record of Antiquity has proven the authenticity and reliability of the New Testament accounts of Jesus of Nazareth. We have in our possession today manuscripts dating as little as 26 years from the events that the New Testament narrative records. There are a greater numbers of copies of the original autographs of the New Testament than any other event or document in the history of the world.

There is a Great God who has formed and fashioned this incredible universe for all of us, simply so that we might know Him and the Salvation that He has paid such a tremendous cost to make available to all of us.

The evidence for His existence is all around us every day, in every breath we take, and every beat of our heart. The intricate design and engineering that enabled this beautiful Cosmos to exist contains the fingerprints of the Creator in every galaxy, star, and planet.

We are not here by accident, and we are not alone. God has made us for Himself, and it is for His glory and by His will that we exist. He has testified of Himself in all the things that He has made. He has imprinted an image of Himself upon every human heart and we all know that He exists because He made us to know.

Antichrist’s Identity: He who comes in the name of Allah

Daniel 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

Part of the identity of the world ruler who shall assume a position of absolute power during the last seven years of the Tribulation, is that he will have the authority to “Change Times and law”. The meaning of this verse is given by the words within the verse. (Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law). The coming antichrist will change the calendar of months in order to facilitate the persecution of those who come into a relationship with Jesus Christ during the seven year Tribulation. This new world ruler will not allow anyone to worship anything other than his god. In order to enforce this rule, the calendar will be changed and the days prescribed for worship will be instituted and enforced by the antichrist’s enforcers.

What if Death Was the Cost of Following Jesus?

What if Death Was the Cost of Following Jesus?

If today, it actually cost you something to believe in, or claim to be a follower of Jesus, would you be willing to pay that cost?

    Are you sure?

If to this point it has not cost you anything to be a follower of Jesus, it is highly unlikely that you would now be willing to pay the cost that might be asked of you. If we have not been wiling to walk away from all sin in our life and correct our behavior in order to follow Jesus, it is not likely that we would be willing to now, to lay down our life for Him, if that was the cost demanded.

Iran Prepares For a Military Strike by Israel

Intelligence reports from inside Iran say that the Iranian army has recently conducted several air defense drills, simulating an attack by Israel on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Iran has prepared their missile systems and advanced anti-aircraft artillery for an air strike by the Israeli Air force as early as next month.

At the same time, Israel has recently conducted air drills with Italy and Israeli Defense Force fighter pilots. The drill was intended to simulate a missile attack by Iran on the capital city of Tel-Aviv. This in preparation for a retaliatory strike by Iran on Israel, should an air strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities be deemed necessary.

Iran has developed a military with technological abilities unheard of in their history, all in preparation for a future attack on Israel. The president of Iran has made it his life’s mission to usher in the arrival of the Islamic Mahdi by the annihilation of all Jews in Israel.

  • Salvation Made Simple

    Salvation Made Simple

If a person takes the time to investigate the difference between Christianity and all of the other religions of the world, they will notice a profound difference.

In all the religions of the world, each share a common bond: The requirement of that religion for the participant to perform in such a way, in order to be found acceptable.

Only Christianity declares that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation, except believe the good news. Jesus Christ bore the sins of all people in his own body while on the cross. He performed all the work, paid the full price, and enables anyone who will believe it, the opportunity to have salvation and eternal life.

This free gift of eternal life is not true in all other religions of the world:

  • The Last Days: Where Is The World Headed?

The Last Days: Where Is The World Headed?

For many people the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, the ensuing Tsunami, Nuclear Meltdown and spread of radioactive debris across the atmosphere, teamed with the Arab uprising in several countries, has caused a great pause in our questions for tomorrow.

What is coming next? Where is all this leading? What does the Bible have to say about these events and are they an indication that we are living in the Last Days?

In the last part of Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus began to explain what the conditions of the world would be like in the final days.

Matthew 24:3-8 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

The disciples wanted to know when the last days would arrive and what would be the signs of Jesus’ return.

    Jesus said:

The last days would be characterized by a great time of Deception.
Many will come and claim to be the Christ.
There will be many wars and rumors of wars.
There will be Famines, Pestilences, and Earthquakes in various places.

Battle For the World: Shi’a Versus Sunni

A few days ago, shephard Smith of Fox News made the comment: “The whole world is falling down around us…”
Shepherd made this comment after having reported on the Muslim uprising’s that have recently began in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Two normally quiet and peaceful nations, now thrust into the same battles over leadership that Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, and Somalia are experiencing.

These are Muslim against Muslim revolutions. For most non-Mulsim’s we don’t have a clue what are they really fighting over?

The major news channels report that these people are in revolt because of dictatorial governments in these Arab nations that oppress and impinge the civil liberties of their people. The truth is that the cause of these uprising’s is much more sinister.

Amongst the Muslim people, there are two groups that have apposing ideas about how their religion should be led.

Islam originated with the prophet Muhammad. When he died, a division began with two groups called the Shi’a and the Sunni.

Sunni Muslims hold the position that leadership for Muslims should come from the most capable.

Shi’a Muslims hold the position that leadership for Muslims should come from the Prophet Muhammad’s own family.

Iran, Ahmadinejad and the Middle East in Prophecy

Iran, Ahmadinejad and the Middle East in Prophecy

The revolution in Egypt, the ensuing violence in Bahrain, Iran, Yemen, Libya and Tunisia, leaving the question: Who’s Next?

The key player in all of the middle east strategy is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Surprisingly what drives him onward in his quest to annihilate Israel is his belief in prophecy.

Ahmadinejad believes in a radical Shiite ideology, with a world view that comes from his belief in the imminent return of the Islamic Messiah called “The Mahdi”.

Under this world view, the Muslim nations of the world will rule the entire planet. Ahmadinejad believes that the Mahdi will appear on the world scene in his lifetime. This belief is what is behind his drive to destroy Israel and wipe the entire nation off the face of the earth.

Israel is called by Ahmadinejad; “The little satan”. The United States is referred to as “The Great Satan.” According to Ahmadinejad, the Muslim Messiah cannot come into the world scene until Israel is first destroyed. Many ask whether or not Iran will launch an attack against Israel. Because Ahmadinejad believes the Mahdi is waiting for Israel to be destroyed, it is a certainty that we can expect an all out attack on Israel by Iran, in the near future.

  • How To Lead A Muslim to Jesus

How To Lead A Muslim to Jesus

With all the attention on the Muslim Brotherhood in recent weeks, and the fall of the Mubarak government in Egypt, renewed attention has been directed at the Muslim religion.

What is the difference between Jesus message in the Bible and the message taught by Mohammed?

During the Muslim conquests, Christians and Jews were known as “The People of the Book”. Muslims understood that Christians had the scriptures in which they drew their purpose and direction for life.

The reason that the land of Israel is so important to Islam is that according to their way of thinking, a land that once belonged to Islam, even if lost to a conqueror, is still holy to Islam. They believe that because these former lands of Israel, southern Europe, Spain and North Africa once were lands belonging to Islam, they should be restored to the the rule of Islam.

According to Islam, it is Allah’s will that the entire world should be under the rule of Islam. Because of this, Muslims are very zealous and forceful in spreading the religion of Islam, either by peaceful means or by force.

To a Muslim, the Qu’ran is the Word of God that came from their prophet Mohammad through the angel Gabriel. There are 114 chapters in the Qu’ran that deal with moral and ethical teaching, as well as the day of judgment.

According to Islam there is just one God, and He has no Son or separate Spirit. Allah has the ability to be everywhere at once but he does not dwell within anyone or anything. Only Allah created and sustains the universe. He is merciful, just, sovereign and without equal.

  • Egypt in Context with God’s Plan for Israel

Egypt in Context with God’s Plan for Israel

There is one possible scenario concerning Egypt that many have not considered. It is important to remember that Egypt, the Arab nations, and the people of Egypt are not the powers that decide the outcome of world affairs. There is still a great God who remains on His throne and rules the affairs of men from heaven.

The course of human history is in the hands of the Lord, and the final outcome of Egypt and the government that will lead the citizens of that nation are determined by the one who oversees every institution of man.

Romans 13:1-2 “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”

One of the mistakes that man makes often is that he does not consider God in determining the course of history. There have been many great and powerful leaders in past history who made the error of believing that they were the force that determined the outcome of their kingdom.

After 17 days of demonstrations in Egypt, and 30 years of rule, President Hosni Mubarak has ended his dictatorship of Egypt. With the fall of the dictatorship of Egypt and the stepping down of Hosni Mubarak, we are going to see similar movements in other Arab nations in the coming months.

There is great concern in Saudi Arabia that a parallel movement will begin shortly in their kingdom. The government leadership is Saudi Arabia is watching the events happening in Egypt today with great interest.

The Society of the Muslim Brothers, also known as “Al-Ikhwān.” claims that they do not want a role in any new government of Egypt.

According to their own definition, “The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamist transnational movement and the largest political opposition organization in many Arab States.”

Founded in 1928 in Egypt by the Islamic scholar and schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna. It is the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood to make the Qu’ran and Sunnah the rule of law and governing authority for the entire world.

Using the Qu’ran as their governing authority, the Brotherhood believes that they have “The Perfect Way of Life” by controlling government and societies with Islamic Government. Their ultimate stated goal is to unify the world in a “Caliphate’, which is an all out and total control of every facet of life by Islam and the Qu’ran. Under Caliphate the Islamic rule seeks world-wide domination of every country and nation.

Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Do Not Want Control of Egypt’

Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Do Not Want Control of Egypt’

Representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt said they do not want to take over but merely want to be a part of government, CNN reported Wednesday.

“The Muslim Brotherhood is not seeking power,” an official said speaking at a press conference. “We will not have a presidential candidate, we want to participate and help, we are not seeking power,” according to the report.

In a move intended to distance the movement from allegations that it is an extremist group, former head of the Muslim Brotherhood’s parliamentary bloc, Mohammed Katatny, said: “We reject the religious state.”

“We are not responsible for the speeches and statements of external forces.” Katatny added, “The regime has been using the Muslim Brotherhood scarecrow to tell the world that the regime is the only one who can safeguard the country, but this is wrong and it is their way to try to ignore the people’s demands,” CNN reported.

  • How Do You Know You Are Saved?

How Do You Know You Are Saved?

If you ask most people who go to church, how it is that they know they are saved, they would have a variety of different answers. They might say that they believe they are going to heaven because they go to church regularly. Perhaps they might say that it is because they pray and read their Bible.

Many people misapply what a Christian does for what a Christian is. Praying, reading the Bible, attending church and giving of your tithe are all things that a Christian should do, but they are not what makes someone a Christian.

According to the Bible, a person is saved and going to heaven when they have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What makes someone a Christian is Jesus. It is not what a person does, but what they believe that causes them to be acceptable to God.

How do you know you are save: The short answer is: Because Jesus Christ was crucified and rose from the dead.

Everyone loves to hear that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” People love to hear how much God loves them, but not many enjoy hearing at what price they were saved.

The doctrine that is missing in the church today is the total depravity of man. The fact that every person is a lost sinner with no hope of eternal life apart from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

The church of the last days is afraid of offending those who attend their services by telling them that they are sinners in need of a Savior.

Liam Neeson Says Aslan is Mohammed in Narnia

Liam Neeson Says Aslan is Mohammed in Narnia

The actor who voices the lion in the film adaptations of the books has angered some fans of the stories, who claim he is distorting Lewis’s intentions to be “politically correct”. Aslan the lion features in all seven Narnia books, guiding children away from evil and harm and encouraging them to do good.

Lewis was clear that the Aslan was based on Christ, and once wrote of the character: “He is an invention giving an imaginary answer to the question: “What might Christ become like if there really were a world like Narnia?”.” In the climax of the first book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Aslan sacrifices his life to save Narnia, before rising from the dead, a plot which is widely believed to represent the crucifixion and the resurrection.

But ahead of the release of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third Narnia book to be made into a film, next week, Neeson said: “Aslan symbolises a Christlike figure, but he also symbolises for me Mohammed, Buddha and all the great spiritual leaders and prophets over the centuries. “That’s who Aslan stands for as well as a mentor figure for kids — that’s what he means for me.” Walter Hooper, Lewis’s former secretary and a trustee of his estate, said that the author would have been angered by Neeson’s comments.

Is Muslim Sharia Law Coming to America?

Is Muslim Sharia Law Coming to America?

The rise of anti-Muslim sentiment in America has brought with it a wave of largely-unsubstantiated suggestions from conservative media commentators and politicians that America is at risk of falling under the sway of Sharia law.

First, a definition: Sharia law is strict Islamic law. It is designed to guide devout Muslims in their personal and professional dealings, and has been used by the Taliban and others to justify limits on women’s rights and harsh punishments, including amputation and stoning. (It is open to interpretation, however; here’s a helpful backgrounder from the Council on Foreign Relations.)

Last week, Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle invoked Sharia law when asked about “Muslims wanting to take over the United States.” “They are building mosques all over the place,” the questioner told Angle. “They want to build one near [ground zero]. And they seem to be getting their way. On a TV program just last night I saw that they are taking over a city in Michigan.”

After stating that the “militant terrorist situation” in question “isn’t a widespread thing,” Angle said this: “First of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas are on American soil, and under Constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don’t know how that happened in the United States.”
