    Mystery Missile Over California

    Mystery Missile Over California

U.S. officials said Tuesday they couldn’t say what might have created a mysterious plume that set off an Internet frenzy after it streaked across the Southern California sky Monday night. But they said they were confident there was no threat to the United States.

Speculation immediately arose that some sort of rocket or missile must have been fired after Los Angeles television station KCBS videotaped the spectacular trail from one of its traffic helicopters.

But a Federal Aviation Administration official told NBC News that there were “no reports of unusual sightings” and that a review of radar replays “did not reveal a fast-moving object in that area.”

That’s in line with the observations of scientists interviewed by NBC News and msnbc.com, who said that for all the sensation the video created on the Internet, the contrail was consistent what you’d see behind a normal jetliner or other large aircraft if you happened to spot it at sunset from the unusual aerial angle of the TV helicopter — in other words, it was probably an optical illusion.

U.N. to Appoint Ambassador to Greet Space Aliens

Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact. Aliens who landed on earth and asked: “Take me to your leader” would be directed to Mrs Othman. She will set out the details of her proposed new role at a Royal Society conference in Buckinghamshire next week.

The 58-year-old is expected to tell delegates that the proposal has been prompted by the recent discovery of hundreds of planets orbiting other starts, which is thought to make the discovery of extraterrestrial life more probable than ever before. Mrs Othman is currently head of the UN’s little known Office for Outer Space Affairs (Unoosa). In a recent talk to fellow scientists, she said: “The continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities, sustains the hope that some day human kind will received signals from extraterrestrials.

“When we do, we should have in place a coordinated response that takes into account all the sensitivities related to the subject. The UN is a ready-made mechanism for such coordination.”

Did Churchill and Eisenhower Cover Up UFO Encounter?

Did Churchill and Eisenhower Cover Up UFO Encounter?

With a civilian population haunted by the Blitz and the Second World War still in the balance, it was one development Winston Churchill could have done without — an incursion into British airspace by an arrow-shaped metallic object feared to contain an invasion force of little green men. Such was the sensitivity of an alleged UFO sighting by an RAF bomber crew returning to England from a mission over Germany that Churchill ordered it to be covered up with the words: “This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic amongst the general population and destroy one’s belief in the Church.” This at least was the allegation put to the Ministry of Defence by relatives of a senior British military aide who claimed to have witnessed the cigar-chomping Prime Minister discuss the incident with General Dwight Eisenhower as part of a meeting about a succession of “foo fighter” sightings by Allied air crews in the Second World War. The curious matter of visits by wartime aliens is one of hundreds of reports of strange celestial phenomena — from a space station covered in pulsating lights to an unusually agile rocket which buzzed a Boeing 737 at Manchester Airport — to be revealed in documents released today by the National Archives in Kew, west London.

Is There Life on Other Planets?

Is There Life on Other Planets?

I do not deny that there are physical manifestations of UFOs and that many people have claimed to have seen them and even been abducted by them. But the issue is not whether these things occur, but what they are. Research of UFO abductees has led to some interesting discoveries. According to those abducted, the aliens are teaching theology. The curious thing is that the theology is New Age theology; namely, that we are all divine, all evolving to higher levels of consciousness, that reality is what you perceive it to be, etc. These are anti-Christian teachings. In some cases, comments about Jesus himself have been made that directly contradict biblical revelation. I’ve studied the New Age for quite some time, and a great many people in the New Age not only accept Aliens and UFOs, but teach that they are more highly evolved than we are and that we need to learn from them.

As The Days of Noah Were

As The Days of Noah Were

Genesis 6 indicates that the “sons of God” (B’nai Elohim) took wives of the “daughters of men,” which gave birth to the “Nephilim.” What on earth was going on? The B’nai Elohim is a term that refers to angels. It occurs four times in the Old Testament 2 and is rendered “Angels of God” in the ancient Septuagin translation.3The intrusion of certain angels into the human family resulted in unnatural offspring termed Nephilim, which derives from the Hebrew naphal (to fall), or the Fallen Ones. (The Greek Septuagint renders this term gigantes, which actually means “earth-born.” This is often misunderstood to mean “giants”-which they also happen to have been, incidentally.)
