A massive 8.9 earthquake in Japan, thousands dead and missing. Two nuclear facilities leaking radioactive particles into the atmosphere. Exponential increases in the rupture of earth’s tectonic plates causing stunning increased in earthquakes and tsunamis around the planet.
Unprecedented flooding and global weather changes around the world.
Rioting, uprising and violence in the middle east.
The United States economy collapsing, and on the verge of bankruptcy.
Global financial markets destabilizing, a move towards one world government with one currency and one religion.
Violence, greed, murder, abortion, sexual perversion, the mocking of God and His Word, and a removal of The Lord from the center of man’s life.
These are the symptoms of a world which is in travail. Signs for us that man has moved away from God and into a very dangerous place. The last time that this all happened, the Lord visited our planet with judgment and destroyed man on the face of the earth.
Genesis 6:7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
Genesis 6:13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
Genesis 7:4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.
In commenting on the last days: Peter said that when the earth has reached a place of violence and rebellion where judgment is again near, that men will begin to scoff and mock those who give warning that judgment is approaching:
2Peter 3:3-6 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
Forgetting that the earth was once destroyed by God because of the violence and rebellion of man, there will be a repeat of this destruction in the last days. As we approach the return of Jesus and the beginning of the seven year tribulation period, these signs on the earth will increase in frequency and severity.
As the knowledge of the doctrine of the Rapture and the return of Jesus for His church has increased, there has been an increasing ridicule of those like myself who write and warn that the present signs we see on the earth are the precursors of Jesus’ return.
Even those who claim to be Christians and followers of Jesus, publish thousands of rebuttals that ridicule those who write and warn of the impending judgment. Claiming that the Rapture is not found in the Bible, they ignore text such as 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 where the message is clear that “The Lord will descend from heaven, the dead in Christ will rise, we who are alive, all will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air…
Even upon seeing this article there will be many who claim to be believers, who will scoff at the soon return of Jesus. This in spite of the global catastrophic weather, financial and social changes that are already visible on the earth.
Jesus said this about the kinds of events we are seeing today, and the importance of paying attention to them:
Matthew 24:33-36 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
In the days of Noah just prior to the flood, when everyone on the earth died at the judgment of God, people went on with their daily lives much as they are doing right now. Ignoring the warning signs, they did not know that in a very short period of time they were all going to perish.
Jesus said that when we see the violence and rebellion of man against God once again reach a pinnacle, that we should be aware that His return is very near.
Peter warned that as God has destroyed the earth once before, so also will He destroy the earth again a second time. The wise and the prudent will see the events around the earth and say: “This is not normal, this is unprecedented, this means something…”
When will Jesus return to remove His church? Soon. How do we know this is true? By the events happening all over the world right now at the same time. Events that are unprecedented in all the history of man, except in those days just before the flood of Noah when the world was destroyed by God.
As I was writing this article this morning, a group was introduced from Europe who claim that all the events that are happening around the world, and specifically in Japan, were caused by global warming.
In this one respect I think that I agree with these men. There has been a global warming of man’s sin and rebellion against God that has reached a place where it has caused a massive increase in the travailing of the earth. These events have been foretold in the Bible as a warning for us.
Global warming is just one more of man’s excuses and a smoke screen for the genuine problem of man. It is mans’s sin that started all of our problems, and it is man’s sin that today has brought the world to the brink of destruction.
Only by sincere repentance and a turning to the Lord for His salvation can anyone be saved. Man has tried for 6,000 years to make the earth a better place by his own efforts. Instead he has increased in violence and perversion to the point where God must take action.
Jesus died so that all men might be free from the penalty of sin and death and have a second chance to live in a place where God is the ruler over all the affairs of man. There will be no peace on the earth until the Prince of Peace returns. Until that time, global natural dissasters will continue to increase until they reach the point where Jesus will return for His church and remove all of us who love Him from this place of violence and pain.
Until that moment, there is still time for anyone who hears this message, to turn to Jesus in repentance for their sins and be saved. Once the church has been removed, the earth will enter its final phase of global disasters in which two-thirds of the people on the earth will perish in three series of seven different judgments of God. Many of these judgments appear as natural disasters, yet are brought to the earth by God. Much as the events that we are experiencing today all over the planet are the efforts of the maker of the earth to get man’s attention one last time before He visits the earth with complete destruction.
