Daily Walk: You Have Need of Endurance

Hebrews 10:36-37 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:  “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.”

Everyday that you awake and turn on the T.V. or read the news on your iPad, there seems to be a new crisis somewhere in the world.

The earth’s tectonic plates are shifting causing massive earthquakes and tsunamis. Governments around the world are in turmoil. Terror and evil are on the rise. Where will it all end?

Jesus warned us about the events of the last days because He did not want us to be alarmed or overly concerned once they began. He told us that these things would happen and that they were signs to us that His return was near.

Matthew 24:6-8 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

There is a very good chance that we are all living in the pre-tribulation days that will bring the soon return of Jesus. There has never been a time in history when all the elements that the Bible described leading up to the seven-year tribulation, have occurred at the same time.

This is not a time for panic and fear, but an opportunity to rejoice and prepare ourselves.

Jesus said that if He came and found us waiting and watching for His return, that He would reward us with great responsibility in His new 1,000-year reign on the earth at the end of the seven-year tribulation.

Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.

Luke 19:17 And he said to him, “Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.”

Imagine being appointed by Jesus to rule over ten cities. You will be living in a brand new eternal body with the wisdom of Christ and perfect discernment. You will never grow weary, sick or become discouraged. As the mortals who survive the seven-year tribulation enter into the thousand-year kingdom of Jesus on the earth, those in the cities that Jesus has appointed you over, will seek your guidance and counsel. You will be able to help thousands with the wisdom of God. As they turn and walk from you, they will be totally blessed and you will feel a sense of purpose and satisfaction that you have never experienced before in your life.

Revelation 5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.

As we walk with Jesus today, let us look to the coming of this day and seek to endure all the trials and difficulties of the remaining days of our short sojourn here on the earth.

Soon the sound of the Lord’s return will echo across the earth. He will call us to meet Him in the air and take us all back to heaven. As the wrath of the seven-year tribulation is poured out on the earth, you and  I will be safe with the Lord as He prepares us all to return with Him at the end of the seven years.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
