People around the world awoke today to the news that their Astrological Signs have changed. Many asked what they were supposed to do now. They felt as though they had lost their personal identity.
Thousands of years ago when the name of the stars were called by their Biblical name “The Mazaroth”, people understood that the names of the twelve constellations contained the names of stars that told the story of the redemption of man.
It was at the tower of Babel that the names of these twelve constellations became corrupted and changed into a way to predict the future of a person’s life that today is refereed to as “Astrology”. What God intended as a display His glory and the message of redemption, satan has corrupted and placed before man as a way to know the future.
For more on this study in the 12 constellations, see the forthcoming study: “Gospel in the Stars”.
It is terrible when you base your whole life on a set of ideals that suddenly, and without warning are changed. Therein is the problem with trusting in anything that man creates, it is constantly changing.
The so called experts of astrology claimed that this sudden shift in the astrological signs is nothing new.
They claim that this has been happening for thousands of years. That is for certain. Everything that man says and does is constantly changing. That is why none of us should put any trust in what any human being says or does. We should be trusting in the word of our God
How unfortunate that so many people have put their whole life in the hands of astrologers instead of their God who made them.
The Bible declares that although everything on the earth changes, the Word of God never changes:
Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”
Whatever God has spoken to man thousands of years ago, it is still good and the same word that He is speaking to man today. Man is the one that lies all of the time, but God never lies and He never changes.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I do not change…“
For anyone who claims to be a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, they have absolutely no business consulting in a horoscope or astrological signs. To do so is the same as consulting a false god or the worship of an idol.
In 1 Kings 22:51-53 and 2 Kings 1:2-3, Ahaziah the king of Israel turned from worship to the Lord and instead gave worship to Baal.
Baal was the pagan god of sexual pleasure and lust. Worship of him included sexual relationship with prostitutes during their worship service. When a woman became pregnant, the baby was killed as a offering to Baal and as a matter of convenience. The death of the child was seen as an act of worship to Baal the god of sex.
Today many people still worship the pagan god Baal when they offer up their aborted babies to him for the sake of convenience and pleasure. Since abortion became legal in the United States in 1967, more that 54 million innocent children have been murdered in the name of sexual convenience. Claiming that it is a woman’s body and she has a right to do with it as she pleases. These women have forgotten that nestled inside of her womb is a human life to which she has been entrusted by God to bring into this world, no matter what circumstances caused that conception.
For the woman who has had an abortion and is sorry that she ended her babies life, there is always forgiveness and cleansing from your sin when you come to God in sincerity and repentance.
The worship of Baal was closely tied to the pagan goddess astoreth, also called asherah and aphrodite. She was goddess of sex, using prostitutes in her temple for worship. Today many young women admire and follow aphrodite unknowing that she is a pagan goddess.
Ahaziah king of Israel, was hurt one day when he fell through the lattice of his upper room and was injured. Instead of returning to the God of Heaven, he consulted in Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron.
2 Kings 1:2 “Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, “Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury.”
In response to Ahaziah’s seeking of a false god, the Lord said this to him:
2 Kings 1:3 “But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?”
The Lord asks his king is Israel; “Is it because there is no God that you have consulted the false god of baal?”
Even as the Lord is asking His people today who say that they believe in and follow Jesus; “Is there no God that you need to consult astrology and your horoscope?”
Instead we should be seeking answers for our lives from the Word of God. The Bible has all of the answers for our life and the life to come. We do not need to ask another human being what is going to happen in our life, they don’t know. We should be consulting the Lord who made everything and knows exactly what is going to happen tomorrow and the day after, and every day till the end of time.
