We live in a generation of skeptics that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. In times past, the Bible was considered to be trustworthy, reliable and not only contained the words of God, but was entirely the Word of God. Recent discoveries by means of computer technology have given this final generation before Jesus returns, the ability to once again affirm to all skeptics that the Bible is in fact the Word of God.
Is the Bible trustworthy? Is it really the Word of God? Is the Bible 100% Accurate? Is there a way to prove these things?
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
One of the amazing facts that has been discovered in the last 20 years, by use of today’s high speed computers, is a phenomenon called the “Bible Code”.
The code is composed of words that are spelled out by skipping equal numbers of letters through the original Hebrew text. This phenomenon is called EDLS-Equal Distance Letter Sequences–words with an equal number of spaces between each letter.
According to Jewish tradition, Rabbis have claimed for centuries that that “The torah contains all knowledge” and there is a “Hidden Text” in the Torah (Five Books of Moses) which they believe is as old as the Torah itself.
In 1958 Rabbi Weismandel noticed that if he selected sequences of equally spaced letters in the Hebrew text he could find words or phrases such as “Hammer” or “Anvil”. He called these “Equidistant letter sequences “ELS for short.
In 1890, Ivan Panin, a Christian Mathematician from Russia Believed that he had discovered amazing patterns in the Original Hebrew Text of Psalms. He wrote over 40,000 pages of notes regarding these recurrent patterns of the alpha numeric values of the numbers 6 and 7 from the Greek and Hebrew texts decades ago.
He published “Structure in the bible, the Numeric Greek New Testament” and the “Numeric English New Testament.”
Dr. Panin once challenged 9 noted Bible critics in the New York Sun newspaper November 9, 1899. He dared these men to publicly refute the facts of the numeric significance of the Bible that he had discovered. 4 made excuses, the rest never said another word about it!
Twelve years ago, Doron Witztum, whose area of study is in modem physics and general relativity, began looking for hidden word patterns in the Torah.
He enlisted the cooperation of world renowned mathematician, Dr. Eliyahu Rips, Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Rips developed the mathematical system for measuring the statistical significance of the results. (Both men are Orthodox Jews and believe the Bible is of divine origin.)
Statistically Rips can determine by mathematical formulas, whether the ELS words extracted from the Bible by computer are only random coincidences or can be statistically proven to be deliberately encoded by a Higher Power or intelligence.
Their conclusions were that Mathematically, the odds are very small that these codes “Just happened by accident”.
Mathematician Professor David Kazhdan, chairman of the department of Mathematics at Harvard University and fellow scientists from other universities including Yale and Hebrew University in Jerusalem, confirmed that the study of Equal Distant letter Sequences is “Serious Research” carried out by serious investigators.
Dr. David Kazhdan made the following statement during an interview with the newspaper in 1996: “The phenomenon is real, what it means is up to the individual…”
What makes the statements of these researchers so incredible and highly reliable, is the fact that many of them do not believe the Bible is from God.
The Scientists that have studied EDLS extensively said that “It would be extremely difficult to create such a Hebrew document containing hundreds of encoded EDLS words.”
They concluded that “It would be virtually impossible to reproduce this phenomenon in a Hebrew text, even if the group has the help of a group of brilliant linguists and the assistance of the worlds most sophisticated supercomputers.”
In addition the EDLS words contained in the Hebrew text, also speak of events that were to be fulfilled hundreds of years before they were written.
The overwhelming evidence of this study is that God inspired Moses to write the precise Hebrew Words, including those coded EDLS words hidden within the Hebrew text.
So that you can understand what the “Bible Code” is, I want to show you what the Hebrew Language looks like and how these Equal Distant Letter Sequences are placed within the text.
This is the Hebrew text from the Book of Number Chapter 5
Hebrew is read from right to Left.
Count 9 letters from the right side of the first line and you get the first Hebrew Letter in Jesus Name.
Now continue to count every 9th letter in the text and you come up with all the letters in Hebrew that spell the name “Yeshua Mashiach”, which is “Jesus Christ” indicated by the Red letters
The Hebrew letters in Bright Pink are the Hebrew letters that spell the words “The Sin Offering”
So in this first example found in the Book of Numbers, we see that the phrase “Jesus Christ the Sin Offering” is encoded at every 9th letter in this block of letters. (Note: The actual skip sequence of Number 5:15-018:9 is every 3,316).
It is interesting that the text in the Book of Numbers that has encoded the Phrase: “Jesus Christ the Sin Offering” is found in, this entire part of the Book of Numbers is about
The Sin Offering, The Vows of a Nazirite, which Jesus was, and even The Passover Lamb, which Jesus was.
The facts are, that hidden within the words of the Hebrew Torah (First 5 books of the Bible), there are encoded in sequences, words that correspond with important events that have happened in history.
The Holocaust of the Jews by Hitler in Numbers and Deuteronomy.
The Bombing of the Federal building in Okalahoma City April 19, 1995 in Genesis.
The Hebron Massacre of 1929 in Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus.
The Gulf War with Iraq in 1991 in Genesis.

The Assassination of Yitzchak Rabin, the Prime minister of Israel.
Now let me say at the beginning that the jury is still out on whether the Bible Code is Genuinely a message system by God or something else. You can find compelling arguments for and against the code, on both sides of the issue.
Howard Gans a senior cryptologic mathematician (code-breaker) at the United States Pentagon with 28 years of experience from the U.S. national security Administration, had heard about the Bible code, and decided to investigate.
He is an Orthodox Jew and is proficient in Hebrew. Dr. Gans determined that he would prove the Bible Code to be a hoax. He designed his own computer program and ran the list words and their sequences found in the Hebrew Torah by the Rabbis through his computer program.
To his amazement, His computer program found the same Words at the same sequences the Rabbis had found in the Torah. His conclusion was that “These encoded words were not there by random chance, but were put there by an intelligence, on were designed to be there on purpose.
One of the interesting aspects of the Bible Code phenomenon is the fact that there are many who give credibility to it as truth, who are not believers in Jesus Christ or the Bible itself.
A second interesting aspect of the discovery of the Coded words in the Hebrew Torah is that these words and sentences are clustered around the written text that speaks of the same subject as that of the coded words.

In Genesis 2 which deals with the Garden of Eden, scientists found twenty-four different Hebrew names for trees that are encoded within the text of this chapter that describes the trees that God created.
The laws of probability indicate that the odds against this occurring are one hundred thousand to one (Professor Daniel Michelson, Codes in the Torah).

What makes the names of these trees so important is that they are found hidden in the Verses of Genesis Chapter 2, where God said, “See, I give you every seed-bearing plant that is upon all the earth, and every tree that has seed-bearing fruit; they shall be yours for food”.
Another amazing discovery was made in the “Suffering Messiah” text of Isaiah 52 amd 53 by Yacov Rambsel.
Isaiah wrote of Jesus trial, Crucifixion, and Burial 700 years before he was born. As if these prophetic predictions by Isaiah were not amzing enough in themselves, we now find that the Holy Spirit has hidden in the Original Hebrew Text of Isaiah 52, 53 and 54, the encoded words of Jesus name, His Disciples, the name “Pilate”, “Herod” and many others.
In Isaiah 52, 53, and 54, Jesus is spoken of as being “Beaten beyond recognition as a human being” (Is 52:14),
Isaiah 52:14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him, his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness. Jesus was “Despised, Rejected, Wounded for our Transgressions, Taken from prison and Judgment, a Grave with the wicked, but with the Rich at His death, Although He had done no violence, nor any deceit found in His mouth”
Yet the 40 encoded words and phrases describing Jesus, His disciples and others in Isaiah 52, 53, and 54, fit perfectly with the description of Jesus suffering spoken of in the text of Isaiah 52
All of the names of the disciples of Jesus are included in the hidden text of Isaiah 52, except Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus and was lost.
There were three Mary’s at the foot of Jesus Cross when He was being crucified: Mary, the wife of Cleophas, Mary Magdalene, and Mary, Jesus mother. The name “Mary” is mentioned three times in the hidden text of Isaiah 52, 53 and 54.
The following other words and phrases were also found encoded in Isaiah 52, 53, and 54:

Even the Phrase that the people shouted to Pilate as He asked them what they wanted to do with Jesus is found hidden in the text of Isaiah 52,53, and 54.

What are the chances that these encoded words could have appeared here in the text of Isaiah by chance? Absolutely None. It is beyond the realm possibility.
What are the chances that these encoded words that speak of what Jesus did, could be found in any Hebrew writings? None.
Some of the critics of the Equadistant Letter Sequences encoded in the Old Testament say that These words could be found in any Hebrew Literature. Yet, in all research seeking to locate these same words in any other Hebrew writing, they cannot be found!

For many years, the Jewish people have asked why there were no prophecies in the Bible about the Holocaust. This was the worst period of history of the Jewish people and yet there seemed to be no mention of it in the Bible.
The discovery of the Bible code, revealed that the Lord had in fact encoded prophetic information about the Holocaust within the text itself.

The American Patriot anti missile system proved to be of some help in destroying Iraq’s Scud Missiles launched against the American troops in Saudi Arabia. However, the same anti missile system did nothing to protect the Jewish people from the 39 missiles that were launched against their cities. Several times the Patriot Missiles managed to break up the incoming Scud’s in the air but they did not work as well as was hoped.
The Scud B missiles that did make it into Tel Aviv, destroyed over 15,000 Israeli apartments and homes. Amazingly, not one single Jew was killed by this devastating Attack. The odds against not one Israeli loosing their life when over 15,000 of their homes were destroyed is astronomical.
This is a supernatural demonstration of the power of the Lord to protect those that belong to Him. The words describing these attacks and the entire Gulf war itself are hidden in the text of the first Book in the Bible, Genesis.
Another amazing story that happened during the Gulf War that Demonstrates the Lords power to protect His People: One of the Missile attacks hit it’s intended target from over 500 miles away from Iraq, inside of Israel. The Iraqi missile made a direct hit on the “Gush Dan main gas line terminal in Tel Aviv that supplies hundreds of thousands of homes and apartments with Gas. The gas lines of every home in Tel Aviv was connected to this main line, which would normally be filled with extremely flammable gas.
Under normal circumstances, a missile making a direct hit on this main line, would have started a chain reaction of explosions below every street in Tel Aviv, creating a firestorm that would have killed tens of thousands of people. To the astonishment of the Israeli Military, there were no secondary explosions when the missile hit the main gas line.
Just days before the missile attack, technicians were working on the gas lines when they had detected a minor malfunction in the gas lines that forced them to shut off and empty the entire gas line system by draining off all of the gas so allow for a safe inspection and repairs. (The Handwriting of God, Grant Jeffrey, pp 135)
A few remaining facts about the Bible Code for your consideration:
The Bible Codes are found only in the orthodox Hebrew text of the Old Testament. There are no other Hebrew documents, books or writings that have ever been found to contain the Bible Code. The Talmud, the Mishneh, the Apocrypha of Tobit and Maccabees do not contain any hidden encoded words.
There is an indication that there may also be some coded words in the Greek New Testament, but as of this date, no one has done any research in this area.
The Bible Code cannot be used to predict the future.
The Bible code cannot be used to find encoded words until the actual event has happened. First the event must happen, then a search can be conducted for specific words. Once the event has happened such as the Gulf War, specific words such as “Saddam Hussein” or “Schwartzkopf” can be seen encoded in the text.
The Bible Code can confirm that the Scriptures contained information about historical events that happened hundreds of years after the fact. However, the Bible codes are totally ineffective to foretell future events. Even if you guessed the correct words for some event that was to happen in the future you would still not know enough to predict what was going to happen. It seems to be the design of the Lord in the Code, to confirm His Word, not to predict His Word.
Michael Drosnin wrote a book called “The Bible Code”, in which he seeks to predict future events by used of the Bible Code. When his claims are carefully examined, it is found that the information he puts forth is not sufficient to allow anyone to accurately predict the future. Mr. Drosnin is not a Believer in Jesus, but is a claimed Agnostic.
Before the Assassinations of Yitzchak Rabin, the Prime minister of Israel, Mr. Drosnin discovered Rabin’s name encoded in Deuteronomy 4:42 in Hebrew: “…assassin that will assassinate.”
Did this mean that the prime minister would order the assassination of someone, or that he himself would be assassinated?
The point is that the Bible Code is really only meaningful after the events has actually happened. The Credible Hebrew Researchers, Professor Eli Rips, Yacov Rambsel, do not believe that the Bible Code can or should be used to predict future events.
The Bible Code does not reveal any Doctrine or teaching.
There are no sentences that speak of any doctrine such as salvation or other message from God.
The Bible Code has nothing to do with Numerology.
Numerology is the occult use of numbers to predict the future. The numbers of the intervals between the words of the codes have no importance. It is only the words that are found that are of importance. There is nothing secret about the Codes, they are well documented and published in Scientific and Mathematical journals.
The question then is, “If God put these coded words in the Hebrew text, Why?”
Every generation except the present, has accepted the authority of the Bible as being the Word of God. In the last 100 years, the Bible has been under attack by Liberal Theologians, University Professors and the Media. It is only recently that this generation has been made aware of the these encoded words in the Word of God. It is as if the Lord knowing in advance that in the last days His Word would come under attack, provided in the last days, a defense of His Word that was overwhelming. The complex nature of the intervals of these words would not have been discovered if not for the use of today’s high speed computers developed in the last 15 years.
Hundreds of years ago a famous Rabbi: Vilna Gaon lived and taught in the city of Vilna Latvia. He taught his students that the Lord has hidden a vast amount of information in the Hebrew letters of the Torah, in Code.
800 years ago, Moses Maimonides said in the Hebrew writings “Zohar”, that there were complex codes written in the Torah. He said that these hidden codes were one of the reasons that the Lord had made sure that the copies of the scrolls were unfit for use even if one letter was missing from the text.
This is why Hebrew Scribes would completely destroy any scroll that not only had the exact letters of the original copy, but had the letters in the exact place on the scroll.
The discovery of the Equal Distant Letter Sequences found encoded in the Old Testament are too precise, too complex to be by any act of random chance.
Did the Lord prepare this knowledge for the final generation that would live on the earth just before Jesus returns, to convict beyond any doubt that the Bible is The Fingerprints of the Holy Spirit?
