One of the 25 most influential atheists in the world today has gone on record to say that he does not believe that a baby inside it’s mother’s womb is a human being.
P. Z. Myers also said that it is birth that makes a baby a human being.
Interesting, I wonder what the baby is while it is still inside it’s mother’s womb? If two human beings place their genetic material together could they produce anything else except a human being?
I remember when my oldest son Rob was born some 30 years ago. I was the typical nervous father trying to remain strong and emanate confidence to my frightened wife. During that time they had just started allowing expectant fathers into the delivery room provided they had gone through the required classes.
I looked at the birth with awe and shock as my son slipped his way out of his mother looking more like a Lizard than a human being. If you had asked me during that time if a baby was a human being I think I would have said “No Way”.
Since that time I have been educated in the facts of child birth and have watched a second son be born. I know now that being red and green and yellow and covered in a slimy goo is a normal part of human birth.
Perhaps P. Z. Myers saw the same thing as I when his child was born and never forgot how unlike a human being a baby looks in those first few moment of their escape from the womb
Let’s be reasonable. Does anyone really think that what is growing inside of a woman is not a human being? Perhaps for the sake of building a case for abortion someone would take a position that a baby is not human, therefore it can be terminated. Any other logically thinking and sensible person would say that human beings grow other human beings inside themselves. It is not a lizard as I once thought. Not even a barking puppy. It is a human baby and it always will be a human baby.
It just goes to show that when you take an otherwise very bright human being and take God out of the equation of their thinking, they are left without a moral compass. When there is no God, then human life is not really that precious, it is just an accident. The result of Billions of random occurrences. What you are left with is a license to end any one’s life for any reason, who does not measure up to your ideal of what life is.
Not one single person has ever had their life changed by the doctrine of an atheist. No drug addict, Alcoholic or prostitute has ever found comfort or solace in knowing that their life was just an accident.
On the other hand, there are millions and millions of broken and hopeless people who have had ruined lives until they were told about Jesus Christ. When they heard of the Love that He displayed while dying for their sins on the Cross, it transformed their lives forever.
I am one of the fortunate ones who heard the amazing message of Jesus Christ when I was just 19 years old. Now some 36 years later, His love and constant fellowship in my life is the continuing and sustaining force of all my life.
Pray for the world’s atheists. The Bible portrays the act of salvation as being impossible without the moving of the Holy Spirit. There is no amount of intellectual convincing that can possibly change an atheist into a Born Again believer.
Only if the Holy Spirit can reach deep into the recesses of the hard hard and unwilling mind, can anyone be saved. Jesus said though that what seems impossible to man, is always possible with God. So pray for those who deny their own inner voice that has been telling them all of their life that God exists and that He loves them. Pray that they will find Jesus and be saved before it is too late, as they draw their final breath and depart this earth with no hope of eternal life.
