    Prophecy: Eternal Life Comes by the Shedding of Blood

    The difficulty for the hearers of Jesus teaching was that they did not understand the spiritual meaning of the words; “eat my flesh and drink my blood”. They heard only the physical act of eating Jesus flesh and drinking his blood.

    John 6:53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

    John 6:61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you?

    Many of the things that Jesus spoke in the presence of larger crowds of people, were veiled in illustrations. When the Lord spoke privately to those who had already received Him as the Messiah, He spoke plainly and directly to the point. Why Jesus hid the true meaning of his teaching to large assemblies, is certainly important. In a large crowd, many would come just to see what all the activity was all about. Others had heard that Jesus was giving out food, healing, or other miracles. Some came simply for the spectacle, others to get something. There were however, a few who were looking for truth.

    Understanding the Wrath of God

    1 Samuel 15 (the Lord speaking to Saul) Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

    This verse is regarded as one of the most difficult to understand pieces of scripture in the Bible.

    The Lord orders the complete slaughter of all men, women, and children. Including all infants, and nursing children, as well as every animal. The Critics of God, and of the Bible, use this verse as an example of the viciousness of God.

    They assert that God is not nearly as loving as he claims He is.
    They maintain that God is angry, vindictive, and cruel.
    They claim that God is dual in His personality, loving and merciful in the New Testament, but vengeful and bloodthirsty in the Old Testament.
    The reason that people have developed these Ideas is that they do not know God.

    It is common for people to make untrue statements about people that they do not know, nor have any type of relationship with. This is what human beings do; they judge without knowledge of the true facts. We read and observe what the Bible says that God has done, and many time we do not have a clue what is really going on. The fact that the Old Testament discloses these verses of scripture to us, describing God’s command to destroy these nations entirely, should reveal a few fact to us.

    In 1846 dr. Simon Greenleaf wrote a 3 volume work called A treatise on the laws of evidence.

    This work is considered to be one of the single most important authorities on the legal procedure for handling and examining evidence in a court of law.

    Dr. Greenleaf examined the historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ to see if the internal evidence of the scriptures about Jesus death and resurrection were true or false.

    The results are contained in a book that Dr. Greenleaf wrote called An examination of the testimony of the four evangelist by the rules of evidence administered in the courts of justice.

    Dr. Greenleaf came to the striking conclusion that according to the same rules that are used in a court of law to examine evidence, there is more evidence for the historical resurrection of Jesus Christ than any other event in all of human history.

    What Jesus Said About Hell

    The Bible describes the fact that there is only one way of escape from hell and eternal separation from God: The Cross of Jesus Christ. Whether a person choses to believe that truth or not, determines whether their final destination is; heaven or hell. Like it or not, hell is for real, and unless all of us repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ, we will never see heaven.

    The new book out by Rob Bell called “Love Wins”, paints God as so loving and merciful that He could not possibly send anyone to hell. What pastor Bell has neglected to include in his thought process and understanding of God, is the fact that God is just as much a God of Justice as is he a God of Love.

    Sin is an offense to God and He promised that “The soul that sins, will die eternally”. The promise to Adam was that on the day that he sinned against God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he would die.

    Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.

    The Bible Is Not For Everyone

    The Bible Is Not For Everyone

    The Bible is Not For Everyone.

    While I write these words they seem inappropriate, even wrong. After all, I have always believed for the past 36 years that God intended the Bible be read by everyone. In the sense that God wants all people to know Him and the only way that anyone can really know God is by His Word, the Bible is for everyone.

    What I am hoping to communicate in this short article is the fact that the Bible is not identical to all other books. The Messages from God that the Bible contains are focused on a select few people.

    When anyone chooses to believe in and follow Jesus Christ, that decision was known to God before the earth, time or the universe was ever created. Known to God are all things and He elects to eternal life, all those who He knew in advance, would chose Jesus and make Him Lord and Savior of their life. If a person never chooses Jesus Christ throughout their life, then God has not chosen them. I hope this principle can be understood. The sovereignty of God demands that every soul who makes it to heaven, does so by the foreknowledge and election of God.

    Three Days in the Grave, Forever Lord of All

    1 Peter 3:18-20 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

    The first thing that Jesus did after he was Crucified, was descend into Hell and preach to those who died during the flood of Noah.

    Peter reminds us that only eight people believed the Lord at the time Noah was building the ark for 100 years. When the time came to enter the Ark and be sheltered from God’s judgment, only the members of Noah’s family actually believed God and went into the Ark.

    It has been estimated by mathematicians, that at the time the flood of Noah occurred, there could have conservatively been over six billion people on the earth. Computing the explosion of population that occurred from the creation of Adam, to the time of Noah, people were living up to nine hundred plus years.

    How Do You Know You Are Saved?

    If you ask most people who go to church, how it is that they know they are saved, they would have a variety of different answers. They might say that they believe they are going to heaven because they go to church regularly. Perhaps they might say that it is because they pray and read their Bible.

    Many people misapply what a Christian does for what a Christian is. Praying, reading the Bible, attending church and giving of your tithe are all things that a Christian should do, but they are not what makes someone a Christian.

    According to the Bible, a person is saved and going to heaven when they have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What makes someone a Christian is Jesus. It is not what a person does, but what they believe that causes them to be acceptable to God.

    How do you know you are save: The short answer is: Because Jesus Christ was crucified and rose from the dead.

    Everyone loves to hear that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” People love to hear how much God loves them, but not many enjoy hearing at what price they were saved.

    The doctrine that is missing in the church today is the total depravity of man. The fact that every person is a lost sinner with no hope of eternal life apart from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

    The church of the last days is afraid of offending those who attend their services by telling them that they are sinners in need of a Savior.

    Two Kingdoms, Two Choices

    When Adam was created and placed upon the Earth, he was created within the government of God, living in fellowship and harmony with God. And God came into the garden and communed with Adam.

    God spoke to Adam. There was this beautiful communion between God and man. As God’s Spirit communed with Adam’s spirit. But God said to Adam, you may have freedom to eat of all of the trees that are in the garden except the tree in the middle of the garden. If you eat of that fruit, you will surely die.

    Satan entered into the garden. He tempted Eve. He deceived her into eating of that tree. She gave to Adam and he did eat. And so by one man, sin entered the world and death by sin because death has passed unto all men. So now here is man created in the government of God, but exercising this capacity of free choice. He has left the government of God, light and life. And he has entered into the government of death and darkness. The government of Satan. Now controlled and ruled by his fleshly appetite. Now mindful of his physical needs. Before that he was oblivious to the things of the physical. He had the mind of the spirit in fellowship and communion with God. But now he is interested and concerned with his body needs. He has the mind of the flesh or the mind of the things of the needs of the flesh, occupying his mind. And so he found that he could not come back into the kingdom of God. His spirit was dead.

    The door went one way. So God so loved the world. A world that was in rebellion against Him. A world that was in such rebellion against Him that when He sent His only begotten Son, they crucified Him because He represented God. He represented the holiness of God and the purity of God. And man did not want to submit to the law of God

    Preaching Against Homosexuality is Now a Hate Crime

    The Southern Poverty Law Center this week labeled as “hate groups” several political and religious organizations that campaign against same-sex marriage and, the center says, engage in “repeated, groundless name-calling” against gays and lesbians.

    Included on the list released by the civil rights organization is the Family Research Council, a prominent and politically influential group of social conservatives. The report by the law center, which has spent four decades tracking extremist groups and hate speech, accuses the council and a dozen other groups of putting out “demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities.”

    The report, which has sparked debate across the Internet, taps into the continuing potency of social issues, such as same-sex marriage, in American politics. Several of the groups described in the report supported a successful effort to oust state Supreme Court judges in Iowa because of a unanimous ruling last year that legalized same-sex unions.

    The Family Research Council has been at the forefront of political activism against same-sex marriage. In explaining the decision to put the council on its hate-groups list, the law center highlighted comments by Peter Sprigg, a senior fellow for policy studies at the council, who told MSNBC host Chris Matthews this year that he thinks “homosexual behavior” should be outlawed.

    Doctors Perform Abortions When Baby Feels Pain

    With controversial late-term abortion practitioner LeRoy Carhart getting national attention over plans to expand his abortion business, a little-known 2008 study is gaining new attention. The Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion research organization previously affiliated with Planned Parenthood, released a study in 2008 titled “Abortion in the United States: Incidence and Access to Services, 2005.”

    The study found there were at least 1,787 abortion “doctors” in the United States but it revealed stark numbers when it comes to those who do abortions later in pregnancy. Of the 1,787, the study found that “[t]wenty percent of providers offered abortions after 20 weeks [LMP], and only 8% at 24 weeks [LMP].”

    Though the numbers seem small, that translates to at least 300 “doctors” who who will perform abortions after 20 weeks LMP like LeRoy Carhart and, of those, 140 willing to perform abortions at 24 weeks LMP. Mary Balch, an attorney who handle state legislation for the National Right to Life Committee, says the numbers are important because mainstream media outlets have attempted to make it appear there are very few practitioners willing to do late or late-term abortions.

    “In an interview with Colorado abortionist Warren Hern published online November 5, 2010, Time Magazine perpetuated the prevalent myth that there are few, if any abortionists who perform abortions late in pregnancy,” she told LifeNews.com. “The Washington Post’s Rob Stein also furthered the myth in a November 10 piece saying that Carhart is ‘is one of the few in the country to perform abortions late in pregnancy.”

    Man Kills Girlfriend and Drinks Her Blood

    BARTOW, Fla. (AP) – Bail has been denied for a 42-year-old central Florida man accused of stabbing a friend to death and then drinking his blood. A judge denied bail for Mauricio Mendez Lopez who made his first court appearance Thursday. In court Lopez said he had been drinking and had no memory of the incident which happened Sunday. Lopez was picked up Wednesday after he was spotted by a citizen. He is accused of killing Macario Cruz in a house they shared in Bartow. A third resident, Cruz’s sister-in-law Mariella Mendez, told police that Lopez fatally stabbed Cruz because he was having an affair with her. Lopez is the uncle of Mendez and Cruz’s wife, who lives in Mexico. A police report shows the men had an argument in which Lopez struck Cruz in the face with a 15-pound dumb bell. He then allegedly threatened to kill them both unless the relationship ended. Authorities say Lopez returned later and stabbed Cruz to death. Mendez told police Lopez left with a plastic cup in his hand that appeared to hold blood. She said he drank from the cup in a strange ritual from their native Mexico.
