Few people realize just how dangerous Mahmoud Ahmadinejad really is. The agenda that he hides beneath his nuclear ambitions and hatred of the United States and Israel, are just the surface of his true long term goals.
Because Ahmadinejad is a deeply religious man who believes that he is called by god to usher in the coming of the Islamic messiah, he is compelled to fulfill his calling. The president of Iran sincerely believes that he has been called by god to usher in a new world-wide Islamic government that effects every nation and people on the earth.
Although Washington D.C. continually underestimates the intentions of Ahmadinejad, it is future history itself that this determined leader hopes to dominate. Through diplomatic channels Ahmadinejad keeps the U.N. and Europe preoccupied with the seeking of peaceful solutions to Iran’s nuclear ambitions by diplomatic means. What Washington and the E.U. do not realize is that there are no negotiable terms in Ahmadinejad’s vocabulary. He will settle for nothing less than the complete annihilation of Israel and the United States, which he believes will usher in the Mahdi, Islam’s long awaited savior.
By the destabilization of all of the Islamic nations surrounding Israel, the leader of Iran hopes to unite Muslims under the Shiite flag for complete world domination. As we see nation after nation rise up in revolt against the present regimes that have controlled the lives of their citizens for decades, the fields that produce much of the United States daily need for oil have also become destabilized.
One of the seldom known goals of Ahmadinejad is to destroy the economic system of the United States by causing the price of oil to skyrocket. Because our economy is closely tied to the price of fuel, even a slight interruption in supply can cause catastrophic results for the U. S. Economy. As transportation systems find the reality of $5.00 per gallon fuel, many other consumer prices will also rise, forcing a decline in spending, throwing the US. Economy into a tail spin.
As the United States dispatches the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group into the waters off the coast of Libya and the President decides what to do next with the terror unleashed upon Libya’s citizens by Muammar el-Qaddafi, the president of Iran smiles with satisfaction as his goal of uniting the Arab world is one step closer. As I am writing the final words to this post, U.S. War ships are already on their way to the coast of Libya.
The USS Kearsarge and the USS Ponce will be entering the Mediterranean in the next few hours. The Kearsarge, an amphibious ship capable of carrying up to 2,000 Marines, will be bringing about 400 Marines from the United States, secretary of defense Gates stated. These two warships have been specifically earmarked for Libyan-related operations including emergency evacuations and humanitarian relief. The USS Enterprise, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, has also been diverted to the Red Sea, where it is en route to the Suez Canal, military officials revealed.
A critical factor that is not in the long term plans of the United States, is the role that Iran will play in the final period of world history. The Book of Ezekiel contains the prophecies of a massive invasion force of former Russian nations, along with Iran, the Sudan, and Turkey, that will descend down from the north in the last days, to attack Israel for her natural resources.
The names of these nations who will descend upon Israel that are given by Ezekiel, when translated into modern English, give us a stunning list of the very same nations that we find preparing for an invasion of Israel at this very moment.
Former members of the Russian Republic, Iran, Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey, Sudan.
Ezekiel 38:16 “Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. (Former members of Russia) 4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5 Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (Sudan), and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah (Turkey) from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.“
Ezekiel 38:7 “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. 8 After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. 9 You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”
Notice that Iran, Libya and the Sudan are all listed together. Isn’t it interesting that these nations are currently experiencing their own revolutions that are going to bring about a complete change of their governments and leaders?
Could it be that the events we are witnessing in the middle east at this very moment, are the final sequence of prophetic events that will happen in the short period of time just before the Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period? The Book of Revelation describes a time of unimaginable horror in which most of the inhabitants of the earth will perish under the 21 plagues that God will pour out on the earth.
As the world begins to see the plans of Ahmadinejad come into focus, I believe that the events described in Ezekiel chapter 38 will also begin to unfold, right before our eyes.
