The leader of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden is dead as reported by President Barack Obama just a few minutes ago from Washington D.C.
Hundreds have already gathered at the north gate of the White House in celebration of the end of the life of a man who is responsible for the death of thousands of Americans around the world for close to a decade.
All over the United States and the world itself, millions are rejoicing at this moment over the death of one of the most evil men the world has ever known.
Our feelings of jubilation as Christians should also be balanced with the fact that a human soul has been lost and will spend forever in the torments of eternal fire. One wonders if our response to the death of Bin Laden should be one of somber, humble quietness and we consider the words of God who expressed His feelings on even those such as Bin laden who are such evil men.
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked…”
Even in His perfect judgment, the Lord does not glory or cheer when even a man as evil as Osama Bin Laden is killed. The death of a human soul and the assignment of that soul to eternal punishment is not something to glory over.
As I write the words to this article, I am made somber in my spirit over the fact that so many thousands have died at the hands of this evil man of terror. I am also grieved over sin itself and the billions of lives sin has taken while breeding a man who found it necessary to make his life’s work the destruction countless numbers of human lives.
I quietly rejoice with the world over the end of the reign of terror from Osama Bin Laden. I congratulate the United States Military for their great victory in the war on terror. It is for certain that this great victory, although reason for rejoicing, will not end the efforts of those who want to reign terror on every nation and people who do not conform to Islam or worship the God of the radical Muslim world.
Until the Price of Peace returns to the earth, there will be no real and lasting peace. Tonight’s moment of victory should cause all of us who love the Lord, to increase our heaven directed prayers to God for the soon return of Jesus so that no other human lives are lost by terrorism or the plans of evil men.
Tonight, Hell rejoices that its borders have increased with the soul of a man who brought so much pain and suffering to so many. To the families of all those who have lost their precious loved ones in the past 10 years under Bin Laden’s reign of terror, our heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you and your families as you once again relive your loss. May you receive some measure of comfort as you can finally put to rest the fact that justice has been served, the death of your loved ones has been vindicated.

May we all humbly contemplate this monumental event in light of God’s Word and His ability to bring justice, yet desire to show mercy, despite the passage of such a long period of time.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, but is longsuffering towards all of us, not willing that any should perish, not even the evil men of this world, but instead that even they should repent and receive the forgiveness of their sins.
Jesus died for all the sinners of this world, one of the greatest of which is myself. I thank the Lord that forgiveness of sin is available to even the most evil of men. Even after such a long period of time, God waits for the evil to repent. When time has run its course, the Lord does visit judgement on the evil men of this world and brings those persons to their rightful place.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
