In the eleventh chapter of the Book of Revelation, John is told to take a measuring device and to measure the temple in Jerusalem. He is told to leave the outer court for it has been given to the Gentiles.
Today, through the hard work of Dr. Asher Kaufman we know that there is an area just north of the current ‘Dome of the Rock” on the temple mount in Jerusalem, where there is an open area where a new third temple could be rebuilt. If the Temple is constructed on this present site, the Holy of Holies would align perfectly with the Eastern gate. In the previous two temple erected on the temple mount, both were aligned also with the Eastern gate.
It would not be necessary to destroy the Dome of the Rock Islamic site to rebuild the third temple. They could simply erect a wall between the two religious sites and both could exist side by side. Amazingly, this is what John saw when He was told by the Lord to measure the third temple, there was a wall between the two places of worship. This third temple will be rebuilt during the seven year tribulation period that prophetically could begin any day.
When I read articles like the one to follow, it is very exciting to consider that we are living in the days of the return of Jesus for His church at the event described in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, “The Rapture of the Church”.
The current movement in Israel to find a peaceful solution between Israeli’s and Palestinians no doubt will have included some type of concession to allow the building of the Jews Temple next to the dome of the Rock. Both sides will have to make concessions to allow the other to co-exist with their own place of worship. If you hear of a plan to allow for a peace agreement in Israel that included the rebuilding of a Temple on the Temple Mount, look up, the coming of Jesus is not far off.

An article by Yehuda Lev Kay:
‘The Temple Will Never Be Rebuilt’
The deputy chief of the Islamist movement in Israel Kimal Al-Khatib told thousands of children in a Saturday Islamist protest on the Temple Mount that the Jewish Temple will never be rebuilt. His speech was published in the Jerusalem-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper Monday morning.
“If the Jews think that their mourning will end and they will rejoice by destroying the Al-Aqsa mosque and building their Temple, we say to them that their dream will not be fulfilled and they will continue to mourn. Al-Aqsa is for Muslims only,” he said.
Al-Khatib was referring to the traditional period of mourning Jews commemorate every summer for the destruction of the Holy Temples on Tisha B’Av (The ninth of the Hebrew month of Av). The Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE by the Romans, while the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque were erected in 691 and 705 CE.
The Head of the Islamist movement in Jerusalem, Icharma Savri, also spoke to the assembled children. He previously served as the Chief Mufti of the Palestinian Authority.
“I tell this gathering, swearing by Allah, and in defiance of our enemies. We pass this safekeeping from generation to generation. Al-Aqsa is the safekeeping of the future generations, one after the other, and the children are dedicated to Al-Aqsa. They are the generation which will free it from our enemies,” he said.
