There have been several Christian authors and Apologists who have stated that the coming antichrist who will lead the world in the coming seven year tribulation, will be Islamic.
Upon careful study of the scriptures dealing with the coming antichrist, it seems to be an impossibility that he could be Islamic and be readilly acceptible to the Jews who will aparently embrace this world leader as their own Messiah during the beginning of the seven year peace place that will begin the Great Tribulation.
Revelation chapter six speaks of a man coming with a bow, riding a white horse, who will conqueor by peace. This scripture tied with Daniel chapter 9, “He will confirm a covenant with many nations for one week (7 years)”
We know that as a part of the seven year peace plan, the antichrist will give the Jews persmission to rebuild their temple on the existing temple mount. In Revelation chapter 11, John is told to measure the temple grounds but to “leave out the outer court, for it has been given over to the Gentiles”.
We know today through the work of Dr. Asher Kaufmann that the new temple can easily be built in the open area of the current temple mount, next to the dome of the rock.
It is inconceivable that any Jew would accept as their Messiah any man who openly claims to be or is found to be a worshipper of Islam.
The most likely candidate will be one who is an apostate jew as is indicated by the statement in Daniel chapter 11; “He shall not regard the God of his fathers…”
