In a news source out of Jerusalem, a leading Rabbi, Kiduri wrote in some of his notes before his death that he believed that Jesus Christ was the true Messiah. The notes remained sealed one year after his death but inscribed upon the document were the words: “Messiah Yehoshua” or “Yeshua” which is the Hebrew name for Jesus.
The note was written in Hebrew and contained the signature of the Rabbi. In part the note said: “Concerning the letter abbreviation of the Messiah’s name, He will lift the people and prove that His word and law are valid. This I have signed in the month of mercy.”
We know from the Bible that at the moment that Jesus comes for His Church at the Rapture, that the antichrist will make a seven year peace plan with the nation of Israel and surrounding nations. They will receive permission to rebuild their Temple next to the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount. Three and one half years into the Tribulation and at the mid point of this seven year peace plan of the new world ruler, the false prophet will erect a statue of the antichrist in the new Temple and it will come to life. The statue of the beast will command all the world to worship the beast and to take his mark upon their right hand or forehead. When the nation of Israel hears these words, Jesus said that they should flee Jerusalem into the desert where God will supernaturally protect them during the last three and one-half years of the Great Tribulation.
Matthew 24:15-16 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Revelation 12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
There is an interesting Old Testament reference to this event in which the Lord tells Edom, in the current country of Jordan, to “Shelter” the Lord’s Outcasts.
Isaiah 16:4 Let My outcasts dwell with you, O Moab; Be a shelter to them from the face of the spoiler. For the extortioner is at an end, Devastation ceases, The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
It will be during these last three and one-half years of the Great Tribulation that Israel’s eyes will be opened and she will receive Jesus as her Messiah. This was foretold in the Bible, that as the Lord has finished his season with the church, having Raptured her out of the earth before He pours out His wrath, He will again turn His attention to Israel.
Romans 11:25-26 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
It is in the nation of Jordan that the beast will not be able to touch Israel:
Daniel 11:41 He (antichrist) shall also enter the Glorious Land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.
Edom, Moab and Ammon are the ancient names for cities in the current nation of Jordan. It is interesting that to the present day Jordan has chosen to remain neutral in the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel. Apparently the Lord has kept Jordan out of this matter to preserve her as a place that will shelter the outcasts of Israel as they flee upon news that they should worship the beast during the last part of the Great Tribulation.
When we see information coming out of Israel that some of the leading Rabbis believe that Jesus is the Messiah, we understand that the time of Jesus return for all of us who Love Him is very near.
