As the daily news is continually filled with information about Israel, the Palestinians, Iran, and the United States position on matters that concern these issues, it is important to keep in perspective what all this is leading to.
The Bible details the final days of the earth in which all the world will be focused on one tiny country that is the center of all conflict. Israel was given to the Jews by God as a promise was made to Abraham that all the Land from Gaza to Syria and East all the way to Iran would belong to Israel forever. Although Israel has never fully obtained all this land given to them by God, nevertheless it still remains theirs by the Lords sovereignty. The land was given to Abraham’s son Isaac, the father of the Jews, not Ishmael the father of the Arab people.
As the discussion ensues over how to divide the land in Israel and which parcels will remain under Israeli control and which will become a part of the new Palestinian state, remember that the Lord does not wish that Israel give up their land to anyone. One begins to wonder just how far the Lord will allow Israel to go in giving control of the land to the Palestinians before He Himself will stop the division by some amazing and miraculous event.
When the angel Gabriel revealed to Daniel that all Prophetic events were centered on the nation of Israel and a total of 490 years of Prophetice events (Daniel 9:24-27), he gave us insight into the fact that just before Jesus returns to the earth all the eyes of the world will be directed at Israel over the very issues we see before us today. How near we must be today to the return of Jesus as we see Israel as the focus of the nations of the world.
Very soon, as a result of this focus on Israel, a great world leader will emerge who will propose a seven year peace plan between Israel, the Palestinians and many other nations that will be the fulfilment of the ninth chapter of Daniel’s prophecy. “He shall confirm a covenant with many nations for one week” (7 Years).
As a part of this seven year peace plan, Israel will be permitted to rebuild their Temple on the current Temple mount, right next to the Islamic Dome of the Rock, and the man who will make this possible will be heralded as the Messiah of Israel. Even today if you ask the Rabbi’s in Israel how they will recongnize their Messiah when He comes, they will tell you that it will be very easy for them to recognize Him. “He will make peace for us and allow us to rebuild our Temple.”
Keep your eyes on Israel and the current events as they unfold. The world is about to see the greatest event in all human history; the Return of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to the earth. First to remove all those who are His at the Rapture of the Church. Then seven years later to return with His church to set up a Kingdom of Righteousness upon the whole world with Jesus as the Sovereign King over all.
