Daily Walk: Times of Refreshment

Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord…

Before we came into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, we were His enemies. We were alienated from Him with no hope of restoration by any self means. Now that we have received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are fully His sons and daughters. All the blessings and riches of His Grace and Mercy are ours forever.

In this new relationship with God, He desires that we constantly come into a place of daily refreshment.

The world will heap stress and anxiety upon you. Your job, family, and friends will bring problems into your life that seem at times as if they have no solution. Even the inner place of your own mind will find that it is often crowded with thoughts, concerns and fears. Jesus came to take upon Himself all of your burdens, failures and problems. He is your great high priest that can lead you through every trial and tribulation that life might bring to you.

Even though the Lord has provided these incredible resources to you by His Spirit and through fellowship and communion with Him in prayer, you must take that first step whenever your life becomes difficult. He is there waiting for you, longing for you to bring all your concerns, but He will not force His help or love upon you.

From the moment you think of coming before Him with your problems, He is already working out a solution. Before you can fully formulate your thoughts, He is already taking action to help you.

Today in your walk with Jesus, bring Him all your concerns, fears, problems and even your doubts. His promise is that He will help you and that in Him you will find peace.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Today you can experience refreshment for your soul by simply coming before Jesus and laying all your concerns out before Him. At the conclusion of your time spent with Jesus, you will have new strength, for the day, and a confidence that you are not alone and that in time everything will work out for your good.
