Daily Walk: The Best Time To Trust The Lord

Hebrews 10:35-38 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

The best time to trust in the Lord is when the darkness is heavy upon you. The moment you lift up your eyes and look to the Lord for a good end to your present difficulty, is when everything seems hopeless. The Lord works in the realm of the impossible and nothing is too hard for Him.

We often begin to lose hope and start to imagine the worse in a situation when time has been passing and there has not come an answer or solution. It is one thing to decide to wait on the Lord, it is altogether an entirely different matter to actually wait through the entire process.

Sometime it is necessary to rise every new morning and renew your trust and take your confidence back to the Lord. Just because we might feel strong at the present moment, it is for certain that in a short time, the struggle to trust and believe will return. We must constantly be training our mind upon the promises of God in His Word. As we meditate upon the surety of what God has said, over and over again, trust returns, faith is strengthened.

James 5:11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

It is when we feel the fear begin to creep up on us and doubts begin to fill our mind that we have such a perfect opportunity to trust the Lord even more. As the prayers of our heart begin to manifest themselves in the blessings we had hoped for, we can look back on those moments just before the Lord gave us an answer and be glad that we did not give up.

The most meaningful prayers to the Lord are those that we offer up when we are just about at the end of our faith and feel that we cannot go on any more. As we hold on just a little longer, the breakthrough will come and the light of God’s glory and love will shine forth in our heart, as we are renewed and filled with overwhelming Joy.

As you walk with the Lord today, do not cast away your confidence in Him. Endure the trials, the pain, the disappointments and wait for Him to fulfill His promises to you. Believe in His goodness and that His desire is to bless your life and bring to you all the goodness He has been planning for you since long before you were ever born. He will not fail you and it is for certain that all those who trust in the Lord will never be disappointed.
