    Signs of the Last Days: “Increase in Lawlessness”

    For those who watch the news daily for events that continue to indicate the soon arrival of Jesus Christ, this kind of behavior immediately captures our attention. The new testament is filled with verses of scripture warning of a marked increase in “lawlessness” as we approach the return of Jesus.

    Matthew 24:3 Now as Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

    Matthew 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

    “Lawlessness” is defined as: “people who are not governed by or obedient to laws.”

    In the years immediately preceding the destruction of the earth in the days of Noah, lawlessness was increasing until it reached a pinnacle. At Sodom and Gomorrah, the behavior of the people in the community became so vile and evil in the lawlessness of those cities, that God destroyed everyone who lived there, except Lot and his family.

    War Between the U.S. and Iran Imminent

    War Between the U.S. and Iran Imminent

    Recent escalations between the United States and Iran have made war with Iran by the United States and Israel a near certainty.

    Intelligence sources inside the the Pentagon report that plans are underway for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, as well as the current naval blockade by the Iranian Navy, “at any time.” If the United States government allows Iran to stop the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, the fragile economy of the U.S. will be thrown into great jeapardy.

    With American public opinion being greatly diminished towards President Obama, his chances of re-election to a second term are seen as impossible without direct intervention in the Persian Gulf by the Obama Administration.

    Americans blame the Obama Administration for the recent rise in fuel prices, and they will exact their displeasure at the polls this coming November 6, 2012. A military strike now with the results being a protection of America’s interest and a continued oil supply through the Persian Gulf, is viewed by the Obama Administration as the only sure fix for the President’s chances for re-election to a second term.

    A few days ago, shephard Smith of Fox News made the comment: “The whole world is falling down around us…”
    Shepherd made this comment after having reported on the Muslim uprising’s that have recently began in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Two normally quiet and peaceful nations, now thrust into the same battles over leadership that Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, and Somalia are experiencing.

    These are Muslim against Muslim revolutions. For most non-Mulsim’s we don’t have a clue what are they really fighting over?

    The major news channels report that these people are in revolt because of dictatorial governments in these Arab nations that oppress and impinge the civil liberties of their people. The truth is that the cause of these uprising’s is much more sinister.

    Amongst the Muslim people, there are two groups that have apposing ideas about how their religion should be led.

    Islam originated with the prophet Muhammad. When he died, a division began with two groups called the Shi’a and the Sunni.

    Sunni Muslims hold the position that leadership for Muslims should come from the most capable.

    Shi’a Muslims hold the position that leadership for Muslims should come from the Prophet Muhammad’s own family.

    America and the Prophecies of the Last Days

    There has been a pattern developing over the course of the past few years that indicates that events around the world are centered on the United States.

    Uprising in Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Tunisia, Jordan, Libya, with more to come. Global spikes in oil prices. Attacks on Americans in Germany, off the coast of Somalia, across Europe, the Philippines and Asia.

    All these events have one overwhelming target: America and Americans.

    Is it just a coincidence that all of the global uprisings and conflicts seem to be centered on the United States? A hatred by the people in these nations for regimes that our government gave billions of dollars to support, who have cruel and oppressive dictators as their leaders.

    Some who study Bible prophecy indicate that the United States’ unwillingness to return to God and the elimination of God from our schools, government and families has caused the Lord to begin to do in America, what He has done in Israel.

    There is a verse of scripture in the text of Ezekiel chapter 38 where a group of nations come to attack Israel during the last days. This event will happen either just prior to the Rapture of the Church or shortly thereafter.

    Surprisingly the nations around the world that witness this action, do little more than make a public ridicule. Even more interesting are the nations of today that are represented by these lands mentioned in Ezekiel 38:10-13.

    Ezekiel 38:10 “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, “I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’- 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. 13 Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, “Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” ‘

    I watched with great interest the president’s speech this morning on rebuilding the economic prosperity of America. It was a great and inspiring speech and contained many important and relevant facts that inspired me and is the reason that I am writing this post.

    The key element of President Obama’s speech that was missing was the fact that America has been blessed by God in her past history because the citizens of this great land have honored and worshipped the God of the Bible.

    The founders of our nation stated that it was impossible that this land could have come into existence if God had not willed it to be. The reason for our past prosperity and global standing as the most wealthy and powerful nation on the earth is because as a people, we have in the past honored God.

    When You See Jerusalem Surrounded…

    I was thinking about the events of the past week regarding the revolution in Egypt and the reorganization of Jordan by King Abdullah. The radical elements inside these two countries want to do in Egypt and Jordan what they have already done in many of the nations of the Middle East. To bring radical Islam as the director of their government and religious institutions.

    While reading Luke chapter 21, I was struck by the words that Jesus spoke as He as teaching about the last days just prior to His return.

    Luke 21:20-22 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”

    “When we see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that it’s destruction is near…”

    I opened up a map of the middle east on my Macbook and looked at Israel. All around this tiny nation, barely the size of the state of New Jersey, were many large and powerful Arab nations.

    For the past 30 years, there have been just three of these nations that have stood with Israel and resisted internal and external pressure to transform their countries into governments led by radical Islamic leadership. Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt have helped make the security of Israel possible and have remained allies of the United States.

    Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia have remained free of radical Islam for nearly three decades and have maintained a friendly status quo with Israel. With the events of the past week concerning Egypt’s attempted ouster of their leadership, largely supported by the radical elements of Islam, and the King of Jordan firing his entire cabinet to replace them with more moderate members, two of the thee three walls of protection for Israel are near the point of collapse.

    Persistent claims were heard Saturday, Jan. 29 in various Egyptian and informed western circles that the popular uprising against president Hosni Mubarak, still going strong on its fifth day, was secretly prepared three years ago in Washington during the Bush administration.

    Saturday morning, people rage across Egypt gathered steam from Mubarak’s speech after midnight, in which he declined to step down. After defying the night curfew, tens of thousands of protesters, estimated at 50,000, crowded into central Cairo’s Tahrir Square and began marching on the state TV building, calling on the soldiers in tanks ranged quietly around the square to oust the president. They shouted that the people and army were one.

    Law and order is breaking down in Egypt’s cities. In Cairo looters are roaming through shops and smoldering public buildings and seizing empty residences. Rioting inmates are confronting armed warders and getting shot in Egypt’s biggest prisons. Political prisoners are escaping.

    In defiance of the extended nationwide curfew, fierce clashes also erupted in Alexandria, Suez, Ismailia, Rafah and El Arish, with security forces firing live ammunition on surging protesters. By the afternoon, 100 people were dead and 2,000 injured across the country. The death toll Friday was estimated at 74 and more than a thousand wounded.

    In Cairo, the hated Mahabharat security forces vanished off the main streets after failing to quell four days of protests. The military tanks and infantry units posted at strategic points in the capital have so far not fired a shot or interfered in the clashes. But the Interior Ministry’s elite security force fired live ammo on demonstrators attempting to storm the building.

    The London Daily Telegraph headlined a story Saturday, apparently confirming confidential US documents released by WikiLeaks, which claimed that since 2008, the American government had secretly backed leading figures behind the uprising for “regime change.”

    In 2009,WND documentedthat Obama and his supporters had first claimed he was born at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, before the story changed to Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu.

    AfterWND’s report on the two conflicting hospitals, online news sites including the United Press International and Snopes.com scrubbed their websites to eliminate any reference to Queens Medical Center, substituting instead that Obama was born at Kapi’olani Medical Center without explaining the discrepancy or the correction.

    As WND reported, the letter read by Abercrombie and initially displayed on the Kapi’olani website turned out to be a computer-created likeness of a letter using HTML code, the building blocks of Internet websites, not an actual paper letter.In 2010, then-candidate for governor Neil Abercrombiewas involved in an Obama birth controversywhen he read a letter at a Kapi’olani Medical Center centennial dinner in Honolulu that supposedly was authored by President Obama, claiming Kapi’olani as his birth hospital.

    The White House has still not confirmed it wrote or sent the letter.

    Moreover, Adams claims, the Hawaii government was engaged in a cover-up designed to tell the American public through the Obama-supporting mainstream media that Obama was born in Hawaii, even though no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Obama could be found on record in the Hawaii Department of Health.

    In the affidavit Adams swears, “During the course of my employment, I came to understand that for political reasons, various officials in the government of Hawaii, including then-Governor Linda Lingle and various officials of the Hawaii Department of Health, including Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the director of the Hawaii Department of Health, were making representations that Senator Obama was born in Hawaii, even though no government official in Hawaii could find a long-form birth certificate for Senator Obama that had been issued by a Hawaii hospital at the time of his birth.”

    The Prime Minister of Britain often spent the night reading his Bible before making the really big decisions during his term in office.

    Alastair Campbell was the press secretary for Tony Blair during his term in office. He recorded in his diaries that on the night before the bombing of Iraq, Tony Blair had second thoughts after reading the story of King Herod and John the Baptist in the New Testament.

    In the story of John the Baptist, Herod was unduly influenced by others in making the decision to execute John the Baptist. In the last part of Mark chapter 6: verse 26 the scripture records that “The King was exceedingly sorry (For his decision) yet because of the oaths (He went ahead and carried out the execution).

    President Obama is making plans to create and Internet identity for American. Howard Schmidt, the White House coordinator for Cybersecurity said “It’s “the absolute perfect spot in the U.S. government” to centralize efforts toward creating an “identity ecosystem” for the Internet”

    This new department of the Obama administration will be first to address the issue of Internet identity, even before the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland security.

    Obama’s new “National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace” will be drafted and released by this summer. Schmidt said: “We are not talking about a national ID card,” Locke said at the Stanford event. “We are not talking about a government-controlled system. What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy, and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities.”

    It is possible that a Smart Card or some type of Digital Signature Certificate will be issued to willing participants that will identify a person during financial transactions or other Internet business.

    The Government promises that no centralized database will be kept of the information voluntarily given by those who sign up for the new digital signature. As if the government has ever kept any of your personal information private.

    Whatever the new Digital Signature becomes, it is for certain that this type of technology will be a part of the new world order brought by the one referred to in the Bible as “The Beast”.

    National Debt Reaches 14 Trillion

    National Debt Reaches 14 Trillion

    For the first time in history, the United States national debt has reached 14,025,215,218,708.52. That is 14 Trillion!

    Just seven months ago the National debt was 13 Trillion dollars. Within days the statutory limit set by the Obama administration for the debt ceiling will be at 14.294 Trillion. At that point the Federal government cannot borrow any more money and could default on it’s former obligations.

    If the Federal Government of the United States should default on any loan as a result of this, it would be the first time in history this has happened.

    If you and I reach our limit on how much we can borrow, we have to stop borrowing. We then cannot spend more than we have earned. This is not true for our Federal Government. When they reach their limit they simply print more money and keep on spending. Over the past 50 years, the Federal government has gone past their budget limit 44 times.

    The Federal Government sells U.S. Treasury bills which are really I.O.U’s that are used to pay off the money that it has borrowed. If the debt limit is enforced and we cannot issue any more Treasure bills/I.O.U.’s to ourself, then the government will cease to function.

    That is how serious our situation is and how close we are to National bankruptcy.

    The Link Between Socialism and Evolution

    It is interesting that many of the first pioneers of Marxist philosophy were very interested in Evolution. Karl Marx himself wrote to and received correspondence from Charles Darwin. Marx’s interest in Evolution came from his desire to try and link his own theories of how societies evolve from materialistic and scientific foundations, with that of Darwin’s theory of Evolution.

    One of the men to whom Marx often relied on for information was Friedrich Engels. As with Marx, Engels believed that the major changes in society happened in sudden spurts, in response to the material conditions of society. Engels was interested in linking these societal changes with Darwin’s Evolutionary theory on the beginning of life.

    One of Marx’s ideas was that small quantitative increases in the intensity of some condition or situation could suddenly produce a qualitative or revolutionary change (1)

    He theorized that in any capitalistic society, gradually over time workers would become more and more unhappy in their pay and work environment. At some point these workers might rebel against the system they were under. This rebellion would necessitate a completely new way of organizing the system they were under and ultimately change to a more socialistic society.

    In the same way, Darwin believed that in a system where chemicals are constantly evolving and changing, at some point they would take a leap forward and produce a new system that would eventually lead to life.

    Marx believed that man’s social problems were solved by a purely materialistic solution just as Darwin believed that man originated from a purely materialistic beginning.

    What is the Big Deal with Israel?

    What is the Big Deal with Israel?

    Have you ever wondered why the entire world seems to be making such a big fuss over the tiny little nation of Israel?

    The land mass of Israel is about the size of the state of New Jersey. You could drive across the entire country lengthwise in about 2 hours.

    One of the better Bible Prophecy web sites on the Internet, devotes most of their resources to tracking the daily activity that is centered around the nation of Israel. With all of the activity by Secretary of State Clinton, a huge push is underway to secure a peaceful solution to the tensions in that part of the middle east.

    Okay, okay, so there is lot’s of activity on Israel now, but all this attention on Israel has not just occurred at this place in history. The interest and focus of the world has been on Israel since she became a nation again in 1948. The Palestinians insist that the land is theirs, the Jews insist that God gave the land to them as an eternal inheritance. The rest of the world watches the two sides fight over property rights like two small children screaming that the toy is “Mine”.

    The purpose of this post is to point out that the real reason that the tiny little nation of Israel is on the hearts and minds of the whole world, is because this land is on the heart and mind of the Lord of Heaven. Every since the Lord called Joshua to bring the former complaining and doubting children of Israel out from the desert, into their own land, the land of Israel has been a huge priority for the Lord.

    1st U.S. President Inspired by Jesus, 44th by Ghandhi

    At the beginning, America’s founders and the framers of our Constitution found their inspiration and direction from the Bible and Jesus Christ. It is a fact of history that most of the men who sought to give all Americans liberty and justice, did so because they believed that these rights came to all men as a gift from God.

    As 234 years have now passed, we have observed a progressive move by our presidents, to distance themselves from this heritage and look for their inspiration from secular and more humanistic leaders.

    In an article today from The Times of India, U.S. President Barack Obama publically stated that much of his inspiration came from the Hindu leader Mahatma Ghandhi. No matter what a person may admire about Ghandhi, one should remember that the Hindu religion worships literally 330,000 different Gods. They believe that man is reincarnated to be born over and over upon the earth until he finally get’s his life right.

    The Bible on the other hand declares that there is only One God who made all things and that this One God said Himself that there are no other”Gods” except Him.

    All Great Civilizations Die From Moral Decay

    As I have looked back across the ruins and landmarks of antiquity, I have been stunned by the parallels between those societies and our own. For most of us the destruction of Carthage, the rise of the Greek city-states, and the Fall of Rome are mere ghosts of the past, history lessons long forgotten. And such things as the capture of Constantinople, the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, the collapse of the kingdoms of France and Spain, and the slow withering decline of the British Empire are much less clear and less memorable. Most of us do not remember much from our history lessons about the French Enlightenment or, for that matter, the issues that led to the American Revolution. But this is the legitimate background of our own place in history, it is vital that we reconsider the nature of life in those earlier times. For within those eras and movements are the seeds of the troubles we face today.

    Obama is ‘Evolving’ on Homosexual Marriage

    President Barack Obama, who has publicly supported civil unions but not same-sex marriage, told a group of bloggers Thursday his position is evolving.

    “I am a strong supporter of civil unions. As you say, I have been to this point unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage primarily because of my understandings of the traditional definitions of marriage,” Obama said.

    “But I also think you’re right that attitudes evolve, including mine,” Obama continued. “And I think that it is an issue that I wrestle with and think about because I have a whole host of friends who are in gay partnerships.”

    Although he has never signed on to a federal homosexual marriage proposal, Obama campaigned on ending the Defense of Marriage Act — a law that defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman and says one state cannot be required to recognize a homosexual marriage performed in another state.

    If DOMA is repealed, it could effectively nationalize same-sex marriage, as, for example, Texas would have to recognize a gay marriage performed in Massachusetts.

    The president did imply a sense of inevitability about same-sex marriage: “The one thing I will say today is I think it’s pretty clear where the trendlines are going,” Obama said. He did not elaborate.
