    Salvation Made Simple

If a person takes the time to investigate the difference between Christianity and all of the other religions of the world, they will notice a profound difference.

In all the religions of the world, each share a common bond: The requirement of that religion for the participant to perform in such a way, in order to be found acceptable.

Only Christianity declares that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation, except believe the good news. Jesus Christ bore the sins of all people in his own body while on the cross. He performed all the work, paid the full price, and enables anyone who will believe it, the opportunity to have salvation and eternal life.

This free gift of eternal life is not true in all other religions of the world:

  • Is Jesus God, or Just a Great Teacher?

Is Jesus God, or Just a Great Teacher?

It is surprising how many times people make the statement that “Jesus never claimed to be God.’

Many of the religions of the world such as Islam, The Jehovah’s Witnesses, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and others, state that Jesus Christ is not God. Even some of the mainline denominations of these last days have begun to state that the Bible nowhere claims that Jesus is God.

Anyone who makes such a remark has not read the Bible for themselves. Even upon a very simple study of the four Gospels it is clear that one of the major reasons that the Jews wanted so voraciously to kill Jesus, was that He had claimed that He was God.

In this short post I will bring out just a few of the many places in the Bible where Jesus Himself made statements confirming the fact that He believed Himself to be God.

Jesus claimed that He was equal with the Father:

John 10:30-33 “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

“I and My Father are one.” In the original Greek Language it is clear that in Jesus statement that He intended the hearer understand that He and God are one and the same. The Greek word used here for “one” is “Hen”, which is “one in nature and essence”. Literally in today’s modern English Jesus would have said, “Even as the Father is God, so also am I God, we are one and the same.”

  • How Do You Know You Are Saved?

How Do You Know You Are Saved?

If you ask most people who go to church, how it is that they know they are saved, they would have a variety of different answers. They might say that they believe they are going to heaven because they go to church regularly. Perhaps they might say that it is because they pray and read their Bible.

Many people misapply what a Christian does for what a Christian is. Praying, reading the Bible, attending church and giving of your tithe are all things that a Christian should do, but they are not what makes someone a Christian.

According to the Bible, a person is saved and going to heaven when they have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What makes someone a Christian is Jesus. It is not what a person does, but what they believe that causes them to be acceptable to God.

How do you know you are save: The short answer is: Because Jesus Christ was crucified and rose from the dead.

Everyone loves to hear that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” People love to hear how much God loves them, but not many enjoy hearing at what price they were saved.

The doctrine that is missing in the church today is the total depravity of man. The fact that every person is a lost sinner with no hope of eternal life apart from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

The church of the last days is afraid of offending those who attend their services by telling them that they are sinners in need of a Savior.

    What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Believe?

    What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Believe?

According to Jehovah’s Witness’ theology, God is a single person, not aTrinity, who does not know all things and is not everywhere. He first created Michael the Archangel through whom He created all “other things,” including the universe, the earth, Adam and Eve, etc. This creative work took God 42,000 years. At one point, The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society taught that God ruled the universe from somewhere in the Pleiades star system. They have since modified this to say that the “Pleiades can no longer be considered the center of the universe and it would be unwise for us to try to fix God’s throne as being at a particular spot in the universe.”1 Such changes and evencontradictions in teaching are frequent in the Watchtower organization and when a doctrine changes, they tell their followers that the light of truth is getting brighter

    Are Jehovah’s Witnesses Christians?

    Are Jehovah’s Witnesses Christians?

The answer to the question is, “No. It is not Christian.” Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah’s Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian. To support its erring doctrines, the Watchtower organization (which is the author and teacher of all official Jehovah’s Witness theology), has even altered the Bible to make it agree with its changing and non-Christian teachings.
