• Antichrist’s Identity: He who comes in the name of Allah

Antichrist’s Identity: He who comes in the name of Allah

Daniel 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

Part of the identity of the world ruler who shall assume a position of absolute power during the last seven years of the Tribulation, is that he will have the authority to “Change Times and law”. The meaning of this verse is given by the words within the verse. (Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law). The coming antichrist will change the calendar of months in order to facilitate the persecution of those who come into a relationship with Jesus Christ during the seven year Tribulation. This new world ruler will not allow anyone to worship anything other than his god. In order to enforce this rule, the calendar will be changed and the days prescribed for worship will be instituted and enforced by the antichrist’s enforcers.

  • 2012 Peace Plan in Israel and U.N. Resolution 181 in Prophecy

2012 Peace Plan in Israel and U.N. Resolution 181 in Prophecy

In 1947 a historic resolution was recommended for the partitioning of Israel into two new states. The purpose of the proposal was to allow the Palestinian people to have their own state within the state of Israel.
That proposal was called Resolution 181, the 1947 Partition Plan.

In order for that resolution to be binding, both the Jews and the Arabs had to agree on the terms of that plan. The resolution was adopted on November 29, 1947 by a vote of 33-12 under the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The United States, Soviet Union, France, and Australia supported the resolution. Syria, Egypt Saudi Arabia and Iraq rejected resolution 181 with the threat of military action if it were to be implemented.

The purpose of the resolution was to provide statehood for the Jewish people and allow the Palestinian people to live alongside them in peace. Because the Arab states rejected this resolution and the need for Israel’s right to survive, the United Nations took further steps to effect peace in the region by the approval of Resolution 181.

  • A Chronological List of Events For the Last Days

A Chronological List of Events For the Last Days

This is the second in a four-part series on the Last Days. In this study we will look at a Chronology of the events from the present time in history, up to the end of time here on the earth, as described in the Bible

Two of the most asked questions from those who are interested in Bible Prophecy, are

“What is going to happen next in the world?”

“What does the Bible have to say about the events of the Last Days?”

Jesus said that the entire scope of all Prophecy in the last days, is centered around the nation of Israel. For almost 2,000 years the Jews were scattered all over the face of the earth. Being without a land of their own, they had lost their national identity and their homeland.

While Israel was without their own country, the Prophet Ezekiel wrote of a time in the last days when God would draw the Jews from all over the face of the earth, and place them back to their own land again.

Ezekiel 37:21-22 “Then say to them, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land…

The promise of restoration by the Lord, is that once the Jews are back in their own land again, they will be protected by the Lord and dwell there permanently. Once they are in their land, in the last days, the Lord will allow Israel to rebuilt their Temple again and re-institute the temple sacrifice.

Ezekiel 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.

Israel is often referred to as being like a “fig tree” in the old testament:

Hosea 9:10 “I found Israel Like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers As the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season.

Jesus said that when we see the fig tree once again blossom and put forth leaves, that we know that summer is near. This is a poetic play on words that was understood by the Jews to mean that when Israel became a nation again, back in their own land, that the Lord’s return was near.

  • The Pre-Tribulation, A Time of Distress

The Pre-Tribulation, A Time of Distress

It has become apparent by now that the world has entered a new period of time that is unparalleled in all of human history.

Marked acceleration of natural disasters that include Earthquakes, Tsunami’s, Nuclear Meltdown, Rioting, Violence and dramatic increases in sin and lawlessness. These events are not mere happenstance, they are voices speaking of a greater Tribulation that is to come.

Jesus said that in this world we would experience Tribulation. Then He added that we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world:

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

It may be that by these words, Jesus was giving us an advanced warning of a pre-tribulation period that wold occur before the seven year tribulation described in the Book of Revelation.

Just as a woman who is about to give birth, will experience the birth pains associated with the immanent arrival of her child, we are experiencing the birth pains of a coming tribulation that will lead to the return of Jesus for His church.

  • The Most Dangerous Man in the World

The Most Dangerous Man in the World

Few people realize just how dangerous Mahmoud Ahmadinejad really is. The agenda that he hides beneath his nuclear ambitions and hatred of the United States and Israel, are just the surface of his true long term goals.

Because Ahmadinejad is a deeply religious man who believes that he is called by god to usher in the coming of the Islamic messiah, he is compelled to fulfill his calling. The president of Iran sincerely believes that he has been called by god to usher in a new world-wide Islamic government that effects every nation and people on the earth.

Although Washington D.C. Continually underestimates the intentions of Ahmadinejad, it is future history itself that this determined leader hopes to dominate. Through diplomatic channels Ahmadinejad keeps the U.N. and Europe preoccupied with the seeking of peaceful solutions to Iran’s nuclear ambitions by diplomatic means. What Washington and the E.U. Do not realize is that there are no negotiable terms in Ahmadinejad’s vocabulary. He will settle for nothing less than the complete annihilation of Israel and the United States, which he believes will usher in the Mahdi, Islam’s long awaited savior.

Iran, Ahmadinejad and the Middle East in Prophecy

Iran, Ahmadinejad and the Middle East in Prophecy

The revolution in Egypt, the ensuing violence in Bahrain, Iran, Yemen, Libya and Tunisia, leaving the question: Who’s Next?

The key player in all of the middle east strategy is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Surprisingly what drives him onward in his quest to annihilate Israel is his belief in prophecy.

Ahmadinejad believes in a radical Shiite ideology, with a world view that comes from his belief in the imminent return of the Islamic Messiah called “The Mahdi”.

Under this world view, the Muslim nations of the world will rule the entire planet. Ahmadinejad believes that the Mahdi will appear on the world scene in his lifetime. This belief is what is behind his drive to destroy Israel and wipe the entire nation off the face of the earth.

Israel is called by Ahmadinejad; “The little satan”. The United States is referred to as “The Great Satan.” According to Ahmadinejad, the Muslim Messiah cannot come into the world scene until Israel is first destroyed. Many ask whether or not Iran will launch an attack against Israel. Because Ahmadinejad believes the Mahdi is waiting for Israel to be destroyed, it is a certainty that we can expect an all out attack on Israel by Iran, in the near future.

  • Egypt in Context with God’s Plan for Israel

Egypt in Context with God’s Plan for Israel

There is one possible scenario concerning Egypt that many have not considered. It is important to remember that Egypt, the Arab nations, and the people of Egypt are not the powers that decide the outcome of world affairs. There is still a great God who remains on His throne and rules the affairs of men from heaven.

The course of human history is in the hands of the Lord, and the final outcome of Egypt and the government that will lead the citizens of that nation are determined by the one who oversees every institution of man.

Romans 13:1-2 “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”

One of the mistakes that man makes often is that he does not consider God in determining the course of history. There have been many great and powerful leaders in past history who made the error of believing that they were the force that determined the outcome of their kingdom.

  • When You See Jerusalem Surrounded…

    When You See Jerusalem Surrounded…

I was thinking about the events of the past week regarding the revolution in Egypt and the reorganization of Jordan by King Abdullah. The radical elements inside these two countries want to do in Egypt and Jordan what they have already done in many of the nations of the Middle East. To bring radical Islam as the director of their government and religious institutions.

While reading Luke chapter 21, I was struck by the words that Jesus spoke as He as teaching about the last days just prior to His return.

Luke 21:20-22 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”

“When we see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that it’s destruction is near…”

I opened up a map of the middle east on my Macbook and looked at Israel. All around this tiny nation, barely the size of the state of New Jersey, were many large and powerful Arab nations.

For the past 30 years, there have been just three of these nations that have stood with Israel and resisted internal and external pressure to transform their countries into governments led by radical Islamic leadership. Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt have helped make the security of Israel possible and have remained allies of the United States.

Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia have remained free of radical Islam for nearly three decades and have maintained a friendly status quo with Israel. With the events of the past week concerning Egypt’s attempted ouster of their leadership, largely supported by the radical elements of Islam, and the King of Jordan firing his entire cabinet to replace them with more moderate members, two of the thee three walls of protection for Israel are near the point of collapse.

  • Egyptian Crisis Centers on Israel’s Security

Egyptian Crisis Centers on Israel’s Security

As we watch the events unfold in Egypt and the uncertainty of their future government, we are directed to the question of how Egypt’s instability will affect Israel’s security in the future.

If you live in Israel today you have to be concerned that Egypt will take the same course that Iran took some 30 years ago. Once the radical Islamic leadership took power in Iran their stated purpose was to insure that Israel found her destruction.

A turning from being friendly towards Israel to that of an enemy of Israel is one of the possible outcomes of the current uprising in Egypt. When the dust settles will the new government of Egypt maintain a non aggressive position towards Israel? How many other Arab nations will join the uprising and form new governments hostile towards Israel as a result of Egypt’s revolution?

This morning the King of Jordan announced a complete reorganization of his government. King Abdullah has so far been a neutral Arab nation having been placed by God at Israel’s close Eastern border. Similar moves are occurring in many other Arab nations as a result of the people of Egypt revolutionizing their country.

The neutrality of Jordan and Egypt in the past was one of the primary factors that have contributed to the safety and security of Israel. The United States has paid billions of dollars every year to these friendly Arab nations to insure their cooperation in Israel’s security.

From a prophetic view, when the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39 begins, two of the Arab nations that are not mentioned as coming to attack Israel are Jordan and Egypt. Jordan is mentioned as the single place of safety for the Jews fleeing Israel during the reign of the antichrist. In the book of Isaiah God requests that Jordan shelter His “outcasts from the hand of the spoiler…”

Isaiah 16:4 “Let My outcasts dwell with you, O Moab; Be a shelter to them from the face of the spoiler…”

Beginning at the mid-way point of the Great Tribulation, the Jews in Israel will have the veil removed that currently covers their eyes and prevents them from seeing that Jesus is their Messiah. When the antichrist announces that he is God and that all the world should worship him, the Jews will flee Israel for Petra in the nearby nation of Jordan. It is there in Jordan that the antichrist is forbidden by God to capture that nation or do any harm to the Jews being sheltered there.

    Egypt, History and the Bible

    Egypt, History and the Bible

God has intervened into the affairs of mankind many times. The original King James Bible faithfully records these events. And it is always exciting to discover archaeological remains that increase our understanding of these historical events. It is a tragic fact that many “secular” records have been found that totally confirm history as presented in the Bible but portions of these have been intentionally destroyed or hidden by “scholars” (evolutionists\atheists) who take it upon themselves to “manage” archaeological evidence to suit their own deceptive purposes. The Turin Papyrus, which was prepared in the late 18th dynasty and included lists of all the kings of every dynasty of ancient Egypt through the 18th, was found in a temple excavation during the 19th century. The King of Sardinia carefully preserved it and entrusted it to some “scholars” at Turin for translation. It arrived in perfect condition but the “scholars” destroyed or hid most of it because they realized that it proved the “long dynastic” history of Egypt to be untrue. To “explain” the “changed condition” of the papyrus, they accused the king of Sardinia of sending it “unwrapped”. The Palermo Stone contained a similar list, and while many “scholars” quote from “missing parts” of the stone, “unapproved researchers” can only have access to a few fragments. It is obvious that the stone was “broken” recently as all inner edges of the fragments show recent fracture conditions.

A leading “archaeologist” on the board of B.A.R. once said to me in the presence of Mary Nell, ” Your problem, Ron, is that you excavate a location to see what is there; you should decide what you want to be there first and then make it turn out that way”. Mary Nell had refused to believe me when I told her that this is what archaeologists do. She was shocked to hear it “from the horse’s mouth”.

Those of you who like to “dig” through history books might wish to read ARCHAIC EGYPT by W.B. Emery–Penguin Books Reprint 1984. This author is one of the rare few who admit how truly limited our knowledge of ancient Egypt is: “Unfortunately, our knowledge of the archaic hieroglyphs is so limited that reliable translation of these invaluable texts is at present beyond our power and we can only pick out odd words and groups which give us only the vaguest interpretations.” (p. 59.) Yet, in the majority of books, translations and conclusions are never stated as being theory; they are stated as firm fact.

  • The Prophetic Implications of Egypt

    The Prophetic Implications of Egypt

Ezekiel 38:6 “Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops–many people are with you.”

Gomer was the area just north of Turkey. Again, a Moslem nation who would like nothing better than to push all of the Jews of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea.

Togarmah, also in the area of the present day Turkey. A nation and people who are Moslem and who are openly against the nation of Israel.

We have Russia descending over the mountains north of Israel with a confederacy of Moslem nations in what is apparently a “Holy Jihad” against Israel, “A Holy war…”

Then there are surprisingly a number of Moslem nations that are not listed here. More important than the nations that Ezekiel 38 mentions are those nations that should be a part of this list but are conspicuously omitted.

Notice that Egypt is not named as coming with this confederacy of Moslem nations coming against Israel.

Also Syria, another strong Muslim nation outspoken against Israel is surprisingly not mentioned. But also. Presently Syria has been trying to negotiate peace with Israel to regain some of their former possession; the Golan Heights.

Iraq is also not mentioned in Ezekiel’s list of nations, why? One would expect that this nation would clearly want Israel destroyed. In the United States conflict with Iraq we greatly diminished Iraq’s ability to attack anything after the Gulf war and years following the Gulf war.

Jordan is not mentioned in this list. The Bible describes Jordan as a nation that the antichrist has no power over when he comes to rule the world. For some reason Jordan has chosen to not to be involved in the conflict between the Moslem nations and Israel, why? This is interesting because Jordan is where the Rock city of Petra is located, the location where many of those who study this prophecy believe that the Lord will protect and shelter Israel for the last 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation, after she flees Jerusalem at the “abomination of desolation”.

  • Understanding The Book of Daniel Chapter 9

Understanding The Book of Daniel Chapter 9

If you have been a student of the Book of Daniel and found that it is a little difficult to understand when it comes to chapter 9, you are not alone. I have been studying this amazing book and specifically chapter 9 for almost 36 years. From the moment that I first heard the prophecy of the 70 weeks taught, I was held captive by it’s mystery.

To consider that the Lord revealed the exact date of His first coming to earth as being on Palm Sunday, April 6, 32 a.d amazed me.

For any serious student of the Bible, the study of Biblical Prophecy is the most fascinating aspects of devoting yourself to diligent Bible Study. Any person who can claim that the Bible is not the Word of God and has no relevance for today, has never studied the prophecies of Daniel chapter 9.

In some of the former commentaries on the Book of Daniel, there has been several errors in interpreting chapter 9 in relation to the actual historical events surrounding Daniel’s Prophecy.

One of these errors was that the 70 years of Israel’s captivity by Babylon was to end with the coming of the Messiah. We know from history that the actual captivity lasted only 62 years. According to Daniel chapter 9:25, the period of time from the captivity until the coming of the Messiah was 62 weeks of years plus 7 weeks of years.

The 70 weeks of years foretold by Daniel’s prophecy, or 490 years are actually related to the “Desolation’s of Israel”.

These errors came from the fact that some former interpreters of Daniel’s Prophecy did not distinguish between:

    1. The Servitude of Israel.

    2. The Captivity of Israel.

    3. The Desolations of Israel.

  • Signs of Jesus Return: Earthquake Rocks Israel

Signs of Jesus Return: Earthquake Rocks Israel

The book of Zechariah describes the fact that when Jesus returns to earth at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period, it will be at the mount of Olives just outside Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:4 “And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.”

At the moment that Jesus feet touch the soil of the mount of olives, the earth will fracture and split into two pieces moving north and south.

Scientists have discovered that one of the largest tectonic plate faults on the earth is in this area of the Jordan valley. Many years ago a large hotel had planned to build a resort on the mount of olives. After an extensive study of the site it was discovered that there was a large fracture in the earth running right through the middle of the mount of olives. Plans to build this new resort were discontinued indefinitely.

On Saturday a moderate earthquake measuring 4.o on the Richter scale shook the northern portion of the Jordan valley causing many Israeli’s who live in that area to panic. It was only a mild earthquake and did little damage, this time. It is for certain that as the day of Jesus return for His church at the Rapture is to happen at any moment now, the early birth pains of the day Zechariah spoke of when the mount of olives will split, is also growing nearer.

    Jews Teach Christians About Jesus

    Jews Teach Christians About Jesus

A Jewish Hebrew scholar, a self-described “former Pharisee,” is providing Christians with some startling new revelations about their faith.

Nehemia Gordon, a Semitic-language expert and one of the Dead Sea Scrolls translators, is currently in the United States, lecturing in churches and Christian Bible studies on the person he calls “the real Yeshua,” Jesus’ actual Hebrew name, which means “salvation.”

He is the author of “The Hebrew Yeshua vs. the Greek Jesus,” a book and DVD teaching series that is causing a sensation among the Christians all over the world who are rediscovering the Hebrew roots of their faith, recognizing that Jesus was, indeed, a very Torah-observant Jew, not a Gentile who came to do away with the law.

Some of Gordon’s most important discoveries came in his translation of what he believes to be the original Hebrew text of the Gospel of Matthew.

The King James translation of Matthew 23:2-4 has befuddled Christians for hundreds of years. While Jesus indicted the Pharisees, calling them “vipers” and worse, He seems to suggest doing what they say to do in this verse: “Saying the scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.”

  • The Great Tribulation and Limited Time

The Great Tribulation and Limited Time

If a person hears about the need to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior before the seven year Tribulation begins and yet rejects Him, it appears that this person will not find it possible to receive the Lord when the antichrist arrives.

The arrival of the antichrist will be with great power and amazing supernatural wonders that will deceive most people on the earth. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 describes the fact that “Because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved”, these who have rejected Jesus, will have no desire to turn to Jesus during the reign of the antichrist.

It is the gentle convincing work of the Holy Spirit in a person’s life, as He witnesses to our spirit of our need for Jesus, that compels a person to repent and turn to Jesus.

It appears that during the seven years of the Tribulation, those who rejected Jesus before the Tribulation begins will not have the benefit of the Holy Spirit speaking to their hearts, as 2 Thessalonians declares:

“Because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

  • Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There

Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There

If you are like me, one of the most difficult things to accomplish as a follower of Jesus, is to do nothing. We live in a world where we must have constant perpetual motion or we will get run over by the guy working hard right behind us.

There are several instances in the Bible where the Lord has told His people to do nothing. Just wait, and watch.

When Israel had recently been delivered by the Lord from their terrible 400 years of slavery in Egypt, God took them on a long and difficult journey through the desert. Every day that God’s people awoke they found that every provision and blessing they could possibly need in their life, was already provided for them by the Lord.

While on this journey, the Lord provided what they needed, by supernatural means. The Bible records that even the clothes and shoes that they wore did not wear out in all of their forty year journey.

  • Daniel Chapter 7 and the Book of Revelation

Daniel Chapter 7 and the Book of Revelation

The four world-wide kingdoms that Daniel saw in his night visions began with the Babylonians from 605-538 B.C. Nearly 700 years later, John would be given a virtually identical vision of these same events in the Book of Revelation.

The four beasts than Daniel saw; A Lion, A Bear, A Leopard, and a Dreadful Beast beyond earthly description, were a Prophetic view of the four kingdoms that would dominate the world over the course of human history.

The Lion represented King Nebuchadnezzar, King of the Babylonians.

The Bear representing King Cyrus of the Medo-Persian Empire.

The Leopard representing Alexander the Great who conquored the know world when he was just 32 years old.

The Dreadful and Terrible Beast coming in “The Last Days” from a revival of the old Roman Empire led by the one called the “Beast” or “The Antichrist”.

It is important to remember that these first three kingdoms described in the Book of Daniel, were predicted hundreds of years before they actually occurred in history. The accuracy of these prophecies in the Book of Daniel are so precise that skeptics have often stated that they must have been written after the events actually took place. They contend that any prediction with the detail that Daniel describes, would be impossible to predict before hand.

Therein is the point that we who study the Bible have been making all along. The Bible is the handwriting of God. His words and thoughts, recorded by “holy men of God who spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”. The most convincing proof that the Bible is the Word of God is that of the 2,500 plus prophecies in the scriptures, over 2,000 of these have already been literally fulfilled exactly as they were predicted, without a single error.

  • What is the Big Deal with Israel?

What is the Big Deal with Israel?

Have you ever wondered why the entire world seems to be making such a big fuss over the tiny little nation of Israel?

The land mass of Israel is about the size of the state of New Jersey. You could drive across the entire country lengthwise in about 2 hours.

One of the better Bible Prophecy web sites on the Internet, devotes most of their resources to tracking the daily activity that is centered around the nation of Israel. With all of the activity by Secretary of State Clinton, a huge push is underway to secure a peaceful solution to the tensions in that part of the middle east.

Okay, okay, so there is lot’s of activity on Israel now, but all this attention on Israel has not just occurred at this place in history. The interest and focus of the world has been on Israel since she became a nation again in 1948. The Palestinians insist that the land is theirs, the Jews insist that God gave the land to them as an eternal inheritance. The rest of the world watches the two sides fight over property rights like two small children screaming that the toy is “Mine”.

The purpose of this post is to point out that the real reason that the tiny little nation of Israel is on the hearts and minds of the whole world, is because this land is on the heart and mind of the Lord of Heaven. Every since the Lord called Joshua to bring the former complaining and doubting children of Israel out from the desert, into their own land, the land of Israel has been a huge priority for the Lord.
