Iran Threatens to Destroy Israel in Nuclear War

Iran Threatens to Destroy Israel in Nuclear War

A top Iranian general said Friday, Sept. 3: “Iran hopes there won’t be a need to target the nuclear facility of the Zionist regime, but if there is, Israel would receive dreadful retribution.” Gen. Hasan Firouzabadi, supreme commander of Iran’s military and Revolutionary Guards armed forces, went on to say, “Our developed weapons can hit any part of the Zionist regime.”
Firouzabadi was the first senior Iranian military figure to publicly indicate Tehran readiness for the Middle East’s first nuclear war. Saturday, Sept. 4, Israeli ambassador in Washington Michael Oren reported that Hizballah had posted in South Lebanon 16,000 rockets, altogether quadrupling the number ranged on the Israeli border four years ago (in violation of UN resolution 1701).
Their range now covered every part of Israel as far south as Eilat with enhanced precision.
    This would obviously include Dimona.
In Havana, Fidel Castro again warned that a nuclear conflict was inevitable if the United States, in alliance with Israel, tried to impose international sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program. His speech to students was highlighted by the Iranian media.
A few hours earlier, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a pro-Palestinian rally that the talks re-launched between Israel and the Palestinians must fail. “The fate of Palestine will be decided through resistance and not in Washington,” he declared.

Signs of Antichrist: Obama Wants a Signed Peace Agreement

When the time of the seven year tribulation is upon us, there will be a massive move to make peace in Israel. The peace, according to Daniel Chapter 9 will come by a “Covenant”, or agreement between many nations and Israel. The signing of this peace treaty is the opening of the first seal in Revelation Chapter 6, verse 1. Either just before or just after the signing of this peace agreement, Jesus will remove His church from the earth at the event described in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4:16-18. Then after a short three and one-half years of peace, the new world ruler who brought the peace treaty, will have a statue of himself erected in the newly built temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount, and proclaim that the world should worship him.
This is the event that Jesus described in Matthew 24:15-22 called “The Abomination of Desolation”. This event will trigger the opening of the second seal in Revelation chapter 6 that will bring war. As the third through seventh seals are opened, the judgments and plagues upon earth grow progressively worse leading into the blowing of the seven trumpets and finally the pouring out of the seven bowls of Jesus wrath upon the earth. In the totality of these twenty-one judgments, nearly two-thirds of the population of the earth will perish. All those who refuse to take the mark of the beast and worship him, but instead chose Jesus Christ, will be beheaded as described in Revelation 20:4. It will be possible to be saved during the last three and one-half years of the Great Tribulation, but it will cost you your life. Important to remember that if a person cannot live for Jesus Christ now before the Great Tribulation begins, they most certainly will not be able to wait until the tribulation begins to die for Jesus Christ. Better to receive Him now while there is still time.

    Israel Is Preparing For War

    Israel Is Preparing For War

While Israel is hoping for a peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the Jewish state is also preparing for “a time of war,” declared a Knesset member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party. “We are prepared for all risks,” said Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon. “And I think our enemies should know that even though we are speaking of peace, we are getting ready for a time of war, as well.”
Danon, the deputy speaker of Israel’s parliament, was speaking in a radio interview with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York’s WABC 770 AM Radio. Danon hinted that Israel may take action if the world does not stop the Iranian nuclear threat, recalling Israel’s lone strike on Iraq’s nuclear reactor in 1981. Stated Danon: “We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early ’80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq.”

Russian Tycoon Order Employees to ‘Find God’

Russian Tycoon Order Employees to ‘Find God’

Vasily Boiko-The Great, who controls a major agricultural holding, has written to his 6,500 employees, ordering those “living in sin” to get married in church within two months or be fired. The deadline, 14 October, is a Russian Orthodox festival. He has also banned any of his employees or their wives from getting abortions, saying he does not want to work with “killers.”
The farming tycoon said he was forced to resort to extreme measures after Russia was struck by an unprecedented drought and thousands of wild fires this summer. “Such an extreme situation is punishment for the Russian people’s sins,” he told daily newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. “I need to take extreme measures including looking at the way my employees treat God.”

Prophecy Update: The Discovery of Oil in Israel and Ezekiel 38

Prophecy Update: The Discovery of Oil in Israel and Ezekiel 38

The other day I heard a well respected prophecy teacher say that it is believed that Israel is sitting in the middle of a dip stick oil field. This is said to be the best quality oil in the world and it is very deep much like a great funnel that spreads at the top throughout the entire Middle East. The best part is Israel is located at the lowest point below sea level in the world. This means that the oil will run down toward them. When Israel begins to harvest the oil reserves it will literally be siphoning the oil right out from under the Arab’s and probably the Russian’s as well. In time, they will eventually run dry as Israel sucks the oil away from the outer regions of the reserve and down toward them (Israel).
This could explain why, in the last days, Russia will lead the Arab world in a sneak attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38, 39). Before, I couldn’t quite understand why Russia would get involved in such an attack. Yes, they have been getting cozy with the Arab world as of late, but I never felt that was reason enough to attack Israel. There have also been rumors in the past that the Dead Sea was loaded with valuable minerals and other deposits, but to date, nothing has materialized of significance.
Particularly puzzling is the reason the Bible states why they will attack, “to take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38:12). But as I stated, Israel really has nothing of great value. That will all change if this exploration turns out to be as big as projected. It will also be fuel to the fire if it proves to pull oil away from other oil producer such as Russia. Oil has become a cash cow not only to the Arab world but to Russia as well. They are second only to Saudi Arabia in oil exports and production.
An interesting article out of Israel this morning shed more light on the probability of this being true: “Central Israel Oil Discovery: 1.5 Billion Barrels

Russian Missiles Block Israeli Attack on Iran

Russian Missiles Block Israeli Attack on Iran

US and Israeli military sources told DEBKAfile Thursday, Aug. 12, that a threat from Georgia was not the reason why Russian posted advanced S-300 interceptor batteries Russia in Abkhazia and air defense weapons in South Ossetia on the northern shore of the Black Sea -as Moscow officially maintained, but rather possible moves by the US and/or Israel against Iran and its nuclear facilities.
Georgia’s armed forces do not run to the sophisticated warplanes, missiles or drones that would warrant establishing the high-powered S-300 interceptors for defending the breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia.Ordinary air defense batteries would do for deterrence.

What are the Consequences of an Israeli Attack on Iran?

What are the Consequences of an Israeli Attack on Iran?

A common view among strategists and political analysts is that the US will be held responsible by Iran and much of the Muslim world. Tehran is expected to use the relationships it has carefully cultivated with militants in Iraq and Afghanistan to lash out at US troops, and some say it could provide fighters in Afghanistan with the surface-to-air missiles they crave. “There are segments of the [Iranian] regime, parts of the military apparatus especially, that will welcome an attack, the heightening of tensions and even confrontation,” says Kaveh Ehsani, a political scientist who studies Iran at DePaul University in Chicago. “Their strategy to react to this is to export conflict – to Afghanistan and Iraq and Lebanon and Gaza… they’ll raise hell anywhere they can, like in Saudi Arabia.”
But how big the Iranian reaction would be remains an open question. More US soldiers would die, that much is almost certain. But how many is unclear. And while Iran can bottle up tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and drive up world oil prices, or encourage Hezbollah in southern Lebanon to rain missiles on Israel, analysts are divided on whether the country will take the plunge. US response could be far more threatening than Israeli oneWayne White, former deputy director of the Middle East desk at the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research, says a there’s a complex web of calculations being made by both the Israelis and the Iranians, and that Iran may show restraint in the wake of an attack, not wanting to be drawn into a conflict that could threaten the Islamic revolution.

Israel Threatens to Retaliate on Three Fronts

Israel Threatens to Retaliate on Three Fronts

JERUSALEM — Violence this week on Israel’s northern and southern borders has escalated tensions and raised the prospect of further clashes this summer, Israeli military experts said Wednesday. A clash between Israeli and Lebanese soldiers Tuesday was the most serious outbreak of violence in the north since the two countries fought a war in the summer of 2006. In the south, rockets from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula , where Islamist militants have operated in the past, struck Israel’s and Jordan’s Red Sea ports, killing a Jordanian civilian and wounding three others. Militants in Gaza also fired rockets at Israel and Jordan Monday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would retaliate against all the attacks.

Israeli Warplanes Hit Gaza after Rocket Attack

Israeli Warplanes Hit Gaza after Rocket Attack

JERUSALEM – Gaza militants fired a rocket into the Israeli city of Ashkelon early Friday, the military said, a rare strike in a period of relative quiet. The Israeli military said the rocket caused damage but no injuries. None of the Palestinian militant groups in Gaza immediately took responsibility for the attack. The city of 120,000, located 11 miles (18 kilometers) to the north of Gaza and a short drive from Israel’s main population center in Tel Aviv, was a regular target for Palestinian militants before Israel’s Gaza offensive ended early last year. Militants have kept up limited rocket and mortar fire closer to the Israel-Gaza border, but the cities and towns of Israel’s south have largely been quiet since the fighting ended. “A Grad rocket hit in a yard next to buildings, in a heavily populated area,” the city’s mayor, Benny Vaknin, told Israel Radio, saying it was a “miracle” that no one was hurt. Vaknin said a warning siren that went off before the rocket hit gave residents time to take cover.

The 9th of Av (July 19), An Important Prophetic Day

The 9th of Av (July 19), An Important Prophetic Day

This peculiar date on the Hebrew calendar seems to be a date of destiny. On the 9th of Av in the year 586 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Solomon’s Temple and deported the inhabitants of Jerusalem to Babylon. In 70 A.D. the Romans destroyed the Second Temple, unknowingly fulfilling Jesus’ predictions.2 Again, the date on the Hebrew calendar was the 9th of Av. After being delivered from Pharaoh’s slavery in Egypt through the Red Sea, and arriving at Kadesh-Barnea but lacking the faith to enter the Promised Land, God decreed that that generation would never enter His Land. It seems that this, too, was on the 9th of Av. The famous Bar Kokhba revolt against the Romans was squelched when Bethar, the last stronghold of the Jewish leaders, fell in 135 A.D. The date was the 9th of Av. One year later, in 136, the Roman Emperor Hadrian established the heathen temple to Jupiter on the site of the Jewish Temple and rebuilt Jerusalem as a pagan city named Aelia Capitolina, and renamed the land asPalestina, to distance its Jewish heritage. (This attempt to disavow the land from its Jewish roots was echoed by the British in their labeling the land “Palestine.”) The date when the Temple area was plowed under by the Romans was, again, the 9th of Av.

    Israel Wants Their Temple Back

    Israel Wants Their Temple Back

Israelis on Monday evening marked the beginning of Tisha B’Av, the national day of mourning over the loss of Israel’s ancient temples. The First Temple was destroyed 2,500 years ago by the Babylonians, and the Second Temple was demolished 2,000 years ago by the Romans. To mark the day, the Knesset TV Channel conducted a survey asking Israelis if they desire the building of a Third Temple. A 49 percent plurality said they do. Only 23 percent said they do not want a Third Temple. However, 48 percent said they don’t think the State of Israel should take active steps to reclaim control of the Temple Mount and build a Third Temple there. Israelis across the board fear the hostile and violent international and Muslim reaction that such a move would certainly evoke. The Muslim authorities that today control the Temple Mount play off those fears, and Jews are rarely allowed to visit the site. Jews and Christians alike are forbidden to utter prayers or carry Bibles atop the Temple Mount.

Hezbollah on High Alert, Israel Preparing for ‘Something’

Hezbollah warned on Saturday that Israel was preparing “something” in Lebanon and that the organization has been on high alert since Israel released aerial images to highlight the militant group’s activities close to the Israeli border earlier this week, the London-based Arabic language daily Asharq al-Awsat reported. On Wednesday, Israel offered evidence of what it says is a growing threat from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. In a briefing to journalists, Israel Defense Forces Colonel Ronen Marley revealed previously classified photographs to show what he said was a unit of 90 Hezbollah militants operating in the village of Al-Hiyam, where they were storing weapons close to hospitals and schools. The Hezbollah official told Asharq al-Awsat that they were concerned that Israel was “preparing something for us” and added that they would act with restraint.

Turkey To Change Their Ties With Israel

Turkey To Change Their Ties With Israel

Turkey is looking to find a new partner for joint defense projects as relations with Israel, which had for a long time been one of Turkey’s major allies in the defense industry, are seriously strained following a bloody raid by Israeli commandos on an aid ship en route to the blockaded city of Gaza earlier last week. The shocking raid by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on humanitarian aid vessel the Mavi Marmara left nine peace activists dead and many more wounded. Turkish-Israeli relations have long been tense, mostly as a result of the Israeli blockade of Gaza, but the latest violent attack on Turkish civilians in international waters was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Following harsh condemnation of the attack, Turkey recalled its ambassador to Israel, Oğuz Çelikkol, while three planned military exercises with the Jewish state were cancelled. The government announced it was considering reducing its relations with Israel to a minimum.

U.S. Questions it’s Unwavering Support For Israel

U.S. Questions it’s Unwavering Support For Israel

A former director of intelligence assessment for the US defence secretary, last month caused waves with a paper called Israel as a Strategic Liability? In it, Anthony Cordesman, who has written extensively on the Middle East, noted a shift in thinking at the White House, the US state department and, perhaps crucially, the Pentagon over the impact of Washington’s long-unquestioning support for Israeli policies even those that have undermined the prospects for peace with the Palestinians. He wrote that the US will not abandon Israel because it has a moral commitment to ensure the continued survival of the Jewish state. “At the same time, the depth of America’s moral commitment does not justify or excuse actions by an Israeli government that unnecessarily make Israel a strategic liability when it should remain an asset. It does not mean that the United States should extend support to an Israeli government when that government fails to credibly pursue peace with its neighbors. “It is time Israel realised that it has obligations to the United States, as well as the United States to Israel, and that it become far more careful about the extent to which it test the limits of US patience and exploits the support of American Jews.”

War about to Begin, 11 U.S. Warships Near Middle East

Eleven American battleships and an Israeli one crossed the Suez Canal Friday en route to the Red Sea, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper reported. According to the report, traffic in the canal was halted for several hours in order to allow US Navy vessels, which included an aircraft carrier and carried infantry troops, armored vehicles and ammunition, to pass from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. It was further reported that eyewitnesses detected an Israeli warship among the vessels. No confirmation has been received from Egyptian authorities. The report also noted that fishing activities in the area were stopped during the ships’ passage as well as traffic on the bridges above the canal. Retired Egyptian General Amin Radi, chairman of the national security affairs committee, told the paper that “the decision to declare war on Iran is not easy, and Israel, due to its wild nature, may start a war just to remain the sole nuclear power in the region.

A Growing Interest for Jesus in Israel

A Growing Interest for Jesus in Israel

The Messianic ministry Revive Israel located just outside Jerusalem reports that its staff and partner ministries have experienced an upsurge in interest among secular and religious Israelis in the person and ministry of Yeshua (Jesus). In their latest newsletter, Sahar S. writes that a group of 40 young Israeli college students recently visited the Revive Israel offices to ask questions regarding Jesus and the New Testament for a course on Israeli history and culture. “They were surprised to discover that the promise of a new covenant is written in the Hebrew prophets (Jeremiah 31). The biggest news to them was that Yeshua loved the God of Israel and that His teachings were focused on a fulfillment of the moral law in the Ten Commandments (Matthew 5),” said Sahar. “A number of them came with pre-conceived ideas and even anger towards Messianic Jews. At the end of the meeting a young religious man came and admitted that his perspective had changed about who we are – Israeli Jews who believe in Yeshua.”

Saudi’s Give Israel Permission to Fly Over

“The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way,” said a US defence source in the area. “They have already done tests to make sure their own jets aren’t scrambled and no one gets shot down. This has all been done with the agreement of the [US] State Department.” Sources in Saudi Arabia say it is common knowledge within defence circles in the kingdom that an arrangement is in place if Israel decides to launch the raid. Despite the tension between the two governments, they share a mutual loathing of the regime in Tehran and a common fear of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. “We all know this. We will let them [the Israelis] through and see nothing,” said one.

Israel, US Hold Joint Strike Drill

Israel, US Hold Joint Strike Drill

Israel and the United States simulated war this week in a massive aerial drill that included dozens of F-16 fighter jets from both countries. The exercise, known as Juniper Stallion, came as Turkey was holding its own aerial maneuvers with the US, which Israel was not a part of. The IAF holds about 10 joint exercises with the US Air Force annually, half of them in Israel. While Turkey no longer invites Israel to participate in exercises, the IAF was kicked out of a similar drill last October two days before it was scheduled to begin. But, Israeli jets still fly periodically out of the country for specific training missions, according to Capt. R., the IAF pilot who coordinates joint exercises with foreign militaries in Israel and overseas. The Jerusalem Post recently reported that the IAF was looking for more training grounds in Europe.
