    The Pre-Wrath Rapture

    The Pre-Wrath Rapture

One of the discussions of greatest frequency regarding Bible Prophecy, is that of “When will the Rapture of the Church occur”. Will it be before the 7 year Tribulation Period, in the middle of this time of wrath, or at the end just prior to Jesus physical return to the earth?

Let me say at the onset of this post that the doctrine of the Rapture of the Church, I consider that it is one of the most important foundational doctrines in the Bible. It is important in understanding correctly, the Grace of God, and His lack of will to punish with His wrath, His people along with the rest of the world.

Jesus death on the Cross not only accomplished salvation for all those who believe it, but also a removal of ALL future wrath from God. Make no mistake, the last three and one half years of the seven year tribulation period will be a total and complete outpouring of the Wrath of God upon the world in a way that this earth has not, not ever shall again ecperience. Jesus wrote that this wrath will be so severe that “If those days were not shortened (to three and one half years) No one would survive.

As we examine the text of the Old Testament, we will not find a single instance where the Lord ever poured out His wrath when His people were present.

Beginning with the Flood of Noah, the Lord removed the Gentile Enoch, who had been walking in fellowship with God for 300 years, just prior to the wrath of the great flood. Enoch as a Gentile, being a picture of the Gentile Bride of Jesus, that we believe will be removed from the earth before He begins the time of His wrath during the Great Tribulation.

    Rosh Hashanah and the Rapture

    Rosh Hashanah and the Rapture

There are some skeptics of The Doctrine of the Rapture that say that this doctrine is not taught in the Bible. They do so while ignoring 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and other key bible verses that clearly describe the removal of believers in Jesus Christ from the earth.

Paul is writing this letter to the church in Thessalonica, to believers in Jesus Christ, because a false doctrine had been circulating that said that Jesus had already returned the second time to the earth. The believers there were concerned that if Jesus had already returned, then what happened to their loved ones who had already died, where were they? Paul writes to tell them that Jesus has not returned yet, and when He does return, here is what will happen.

‘We Seek Peace to End Conflict Once and For All’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scheduled to give historic speech in Washington, state he hopes for lasting peace. ‘I came here to find a historic compromise. President Abbas, you are my partner in peace’, Netanyahu slated to say. Netanyahu is hoping to commence a process in Washington which will end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict “once and for all.” In a special speech to be delivered Wednesday night at the White House Netanyahu is slated to state he does not seek a cease fire but lasting peace. “I am very pleased to be here today to begin our common effort to achieve lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians,” Netanyahu is slated to say. “I want to thank you President Obama for your tireless effort to renew the quest for peace. I want to thank Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Mitchell, the many members of the Obama administration and Tony Blair, who have all worked so hard to bring Israelis and Palestinians together here today.” The prime minister will also want Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Jordanian King Abdullah “for their support of these talks and for their continuous efforts to promote peace, security and stability in our region. “

  • An Early and Later Fulfillment of Prophecy

An Early and Later Fulfillment of Prophecy

With the latest attempts by the Obama administration to make peace in the middle east, those who watch the current events around the world in anticipation of the coming of Jesus become very excited. Whether or not the current effort will be successful at securing a seven year peace treaty as described in the Book of Daniel chapter 9, remains to be seen.
There are many articles on the internet referencing the fact that Obama has shown signs of being either the antichrist himself or like the antichrist. This writer would not go so far to make either of those statements as neither of these possibilities are clear at the present time. No one really knows that a particular aspect of Bible prophecy has been fulfilled until after the fact. We know that in the last days before the seven year tribulation begins, there will be a great move in the middle east similar to the current effort, that will ensue into a seemingly miraculous set of events, finally bringing peace to the decades long struggle.
According to the Bible, part of the peace process will be that Israel will be allowed to rebuild the third temple on the very same site as the former two temples. In order to do this, the muslim world would need to allow the construction of the temple next to the existing dome of the rock. Today no one but a muslim can even approach the temple mount. To allow any Israeli to begin a jewish house of worship next to their revered mosque would be of epic importance. Never the less, we know that when this final seven years do begin, midway into the seven year tribulation, an event will happen that will set into motion the final 21 plagues of the Book of Revelation and bring the return of Jesus to the earth with His church to set up a one thousand year kingdom of righteousness. Then at the three and one half year mark of the seven year peace agreement, a statue of antichrist will be placed in the holy of holies in the new temple and it will come to life. A command will be given to worship the new world ruler as God, who will be the antichrist. Jesus called this event the “Abomination of Desolation in Matthew chapter 24.

Signs of the Last Days: Teens Becoming ‘Fake Christians’

Signs of the Last Days: Teens Becoming ‘Fake Christians’

If you’re the parent of a Christian teenager, Kenda Creasy Dean has this warning: Your child is following a “mutant” form of Christianity, and you may be responsible. Dean says more American teenagers are embracing what she calls “moralistic therapeutic deism.” Translation: It’s a watered-down faith that portrays God as a “divine therapist” whose chief goal is to boost people’s self-esteem. Dean is a minister, a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and the author of “Almost Christian,” a new book that argues that many parents and pastors are unwittingly passing on this self-serving strain of Christianity. She says this “imposter” faith is one reason teenagers abandon churches. “If this is the God they’re seeing in church, they are right to leave us in the dust,” Dean says. “Churches don’t give them enough to be passionate about.”

    The Purpose of Prophecy

    The Purpose of Prophecy

I have people ask me all of the time if the teaching of Bible Prophecy is really that important. Perhaps as you perused the available Amazon Kindle Blogs that are currently available and you came upon “Bible Prophecy Update” you thought to your self; “Why would I want to subscribe to a Blog like that?” The purpose of prophecy is not to predict the future or to inflame our emotions to fear what may be ahead. The purpose of Bible Prophecy is to reveal who Jesus really is. To bring the human population into an awareness of God’s plan for mankind and how much He loves us all. In the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, John wrote that the entire purpose of Prophecy is to reveal Jesus.

Revelation 19:10… For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

As you hopefully read my blog here each week, you find that there are many Bible Studies, a Daily Devotional and other studies Perhaps you have thought that these studies seem to have nothing whatsoever to do with Bible Prophecy. The reason that there are these kinds of resources on this web site is that absolutely everything is of a prophetic nature even if at first we do not realize it.

A New Book by Rob Robinson: ‘Simple Revelation’

A New Book by Rob Robinson: ‘Simple Revelation’

    We live in exciting days!

The Bible describes events that would happen around the world and also in the heavens themselves, that would cause men to tremble and their hearts to fail them over fear of things coming upon the earth. We are privileged to live in these final prophetic days and to see with our own eyes stunning developments that men have longed to understand for countless generations. These astonishing events predicted in the Bible, are now suddenly unfolding right before our eyes. The nations of the world are joining themselves together in an alliance that will be ruled by one man who will capture the hearts and imaginations of people around the world.
Armies rising, financial markets destabilizing and collapsing, religions travailing, all in a prequel to the coming of the “Son of Perdition” to whom the world will marvel after and proclaim, “Who is like unto the beast and who is able to make war with him?” You and I live during a period of time that the Bible describes more than any other era in all of human history. Days that will bring the soon return of the King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords to finally rule over the nations of this hurting and dying planet. All of the Bible is about just one subject: Jesus. Who He is, what He has done, why He created the universe. How His creation fell, and how in His love He came to redeem it. In His ultimate victory, how He will return again to remove from the earth those who love Him, before He brings His final fury. In ultimate finality, Jesus will bring His wrath to this planet for a period of seven final years in which two-thirds of the people of earth will perish in three sets of twenty one judgments.

The Danger of Thinking Jesus Return Is Delayed

The Danger of Thinking Jesus Return Is Delayed

Peter wrote that in the last days people would begin to say that Jesus is delayed in His coming, or that He will not return at all. As we approach the day of the Lord’s return, it will be a sign to us all that the hearts of people will have grown cold towards spiritual matters and the thoughts of Jesus return will be farther and farther from their minds.
2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

The Rise of the Central Banks

The Rise of the Central Banks

Normally, when a country expands its money supply, it will offer bonds to other countries. The lending countries will buy the bonds and then the borrowing country will use that money to issue paper currency to the lending banks at a set interest rate. The problem many countries have now is that lending countries are not buying. This puts the borrowing country in a bind. Since slowing the rate of increase of the money supply will invite a recession (a way for the economy to readjust itself back to reality), politicians will want to “boost” the economy by increasing the money supply. With no one buying a country’s debts, the debtor country is reduced to printing money that is backed by nothing. This is called “monetizing the debt.” Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the United State’s central bank, the Federal Reserve, has been accused of gearing up the printing presses. Of course, in these days of electronic funds transfers (EFT), a printing press isn’t even required. A simple computer entry into a balance sheet will suffice. In the last two years, the United States has put $2.5 trillion into the world’s economy.11 Continuing to expand the money supply in such a manner could cause a hyperinflation only seen in recent history in developing nations and post-World War II Germany. (We will visit the topic of hyperinflation and its effects on society in the third and final section of this series.)

  • The Signs of Jesus Return

    The Signs of Jesus Return

The purpose of Bible prophecy is so that we might know that the Bible is not just another book penned by men, but a supernatural document with it’s source from outside time and space. The Bible is unique in that it makes predictions of the future with such detail and precision, that the slightest error would make any one of those prophecies unreliable. In over 2,500 Biblical prophecies, every single minute detail has been completed with precision and accuracy. The odds of any book being able to predict over 2,5o0 events in advance with 100 percent accuracy, is beyond the possibility of chance. The certainty of the fulfillment of these events already predicted and already fulfilled, gives confidence to the remaining 1,000 prophetic predictions that are yet to be fulfilled. If the Bible has been perfectly accurate so far, it is certain that the events spoken of describing the last days before Jesus returns, most certainly will also be fulfilled accurately. The following is a short list of some of those prophetic events already fulfilled, to be fulfilled and in the process of being fulfilled.

This article and the importance of the details of this article, are the reason that I started Bible Prophecy Update. So that you might realize that the Lord of the Universe has a plan that He has been unfolding for thousands of years, and that plan includes His desire to make Himself known to you. As you read, study and become familiar with the events of Bible prophecy, you will realize that the Lord is who He claims to be. That there is a God who is above all creation and who loves every human being equally and with great fervor. When we failed to be what He had created us to be and the defect of sin spread to all human kind, He took it upon Himself to become one of us, and give His life in exchange for all of ours. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on a Roman cross 2,000 years ago, paid the price all of us owed for our own individual and collective sins, forever. If you will place your complete trust in what Jesus has done for you at the Cross, and accept Jesus as your own Savior, you will be cleansed of your total sin and obtain eternal life.

When Jesus returns next, it will not be physically to the earth, but to the atmosphere above earth, from where He will call out of the earth all those who have already come into a personal relationship with Him and have accepted His sacrifice for their sins. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

    The Rapture, Our Blessed Hope

    The Rapture, Our Blessed Hope

There are those who claim that the word “rapture” isn’t in their Bible. That’s because they aren’t using the Latin translation: …deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et sic semper cum Domino erimus.. -1 Thessalonians 4:17 (Latin Vulgate) 1 The Latin equivalent of the Greek harpz is the Latin verb rapio, “to take away by force.” In the Latin Vulgate, one of the oldest Bibles in existence, the appropriate tense of rapio appears in verse 17. (Raptus is the past participle of rapio, and our English words “rapt” and “rapture” stem from this past participle.) At the Rapture, living believers will be “caught up” in the air, translated into the clouds, in a moment in time, to join the Lord in the air.

    North Korea: ‘Prepare for War’

SEOUL, South Korea — Tensions on the Korean peninsula soared Tuesday as South Korea resumed propaganda broadcasts into North Korea in retaliation for the deadly sinking of a warship, while the North’s leader reportedly has ordered troops ready for combat. The South’s restarting of psychological warfare operations was among measures it announced Monday, along with slashing trade, to punish Pyongyang for the March torpedo strike that sank a navy warship and killed 46 sailors.
The US has thrown its full support behind South Korea’s moves to retaliate, which also include bringing North Korea before the UN Security Council. China — North Korea’s main ally and aid provider and a veto-weilding member of the Security Council — has so far done little but urge calm on all sides.

Nentanyahu Turns to the Bible in Jerusalem Discussion

Beset by questions about Jerusalem’s future in talks with the Palestinians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached for the Bible on Wednesday to stake out the Jewish state’s contested claim on the city.Netanyahu told a parliamentary session commemorating Israel’s capture of East Jerusalem from Jordan in the 1967 war that “Jerusalem” and its alternative Hebrew name “Zion” appear 850 times in the Old Testament, Judaism’s core canon.”As to how many times Jerusalem is mentioned in the holy scriptures of other faiths, I recommend you check,” he said. Citing such ancestry, Israel calls all of Jerusalem its “eternal and indivisible” capital — a designation not recognized abroad, where many powers support Arab claims to East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

Archaeologist: Stop Muslim Temple Mount Denial

Dr. Gabi Barkai, senior lecturer at Bar Ilan University and recipient of the Jerusalem Prize for Archaeology, says Israelis must demand that Israeli antiquities law be enforced at Israel’s most important archaeological site– the Temple Mount.
“It is the most important site in the world for the Jewish people,” Barkai told Benny Tucker of Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew newsmagazine in a Jerusalem Day interview, “as well as the most important archaeological site in Israel, and despite all this, Israel has abandoned it. Over the past ten years, the Waqf has taken control, making major changes in the status quo: It has conducted illegal digs, built mosques and the like, and the situation has changed from one extreme to the other.”

Why Some Reject the Pre-Tribulation Rapture

Why Some Reject the Pre-Tribulation Rapture

Several incorrect premises have caused some to reject the pretribulation Rapture and accept the position called the “postribulation Rapture.” The first premise is an emotional contention that it would be unfair for the modern Church to escape to heaven scot free to escape the martyrdom that other believers have experienced. While it is easy to understand such an emotion, it would be wrong to deny the doctrine of the pretribulation Rapture on this basis alone. The reality is that while many Christians have endured tremendous persecutions and tribulations, untold millions of believers have lived out their lives in times of peace. Furthermore, all of those Christians who died in either peace or persecution throughout history have already escaped the Great Tribulation.

Daniel 8:23-26 “And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means. “And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future.” Daniel was thrust into a world that he knew nothing about except for the prophecies given to him here concerning “Many days in the future”. The prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 gives us a description of some of those things that will occur during the time that the antichrist arises as a world ruler shortly after the Rapture of the Church.

Signs of Jesus Return and the Rapture

Signs of Jesus Return and the Rapture

During the early centuries following the ascension of Jesus into heaven, Christians often greeted one another by saying, “Maranatha,” which means “the Lord cometh.” Despite constant persecution from both the pagans and the officials of the Roman government, the early Christians rejoiced in the certain knowledge that Jesus had prophesied that He would someday return to establish His Kingdom on earth. These believers knew that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day following His crucifixion – as He had foretold during His ministry. Jesus Christ was seen by many people during the forty days following His resurrection. Thirty years after Jesus ascended to heaven in the sight of His followers, the apostle Paul wrote, “After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:6). The truth of His death and resurrection was widely known and taught by the early Church, encouraging a widespread expectation of His glorious return to destroy evil and establish His righteous government on earth forever.

    Ruth: A Romance of Redemption

    Ruth: A Romance of Redemption

This little four-chapter book is often studied (even in secular colleges) as a masterpiece in miniature for its romantic elegance and literary value- and its charming glimpse into life in ancient Israel.
It is a classic love story of loyalty and devotion, and yet it also contains some surprising insights that go far beyond the historical narrative itself.
One of the principal characters is Naomi, a Bethlehemite, who, because of a famine, migrates with her husband and her two sons to distant Moab. The two sons take Moabite women for wives. During the ten years that follow, Naomi’s husband and both her two sons pass away, leaving her destitute.
Upon hearing that things have turned for the better in her native Bethlehem, Naomi decides to return home. She encourages the two young girls to make new lives for themselves among their own people.
