Signs of Antichrist: Obama Wants a Signed Peace Agreement

When the time of the seven year tribulation is upon us, there will be a massive move to make peace in Israel. The peace, according to Daniel Chapter 9 will come by a “Covenant”, or agreement between many nations and Israel. The signing of this peace treaty is the opening of the first seal in Revelation Chapter 6, verse 1. Either just before or just after the signing of this peace agreement, Jesus will remove His church from the earth at the event described in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4:16-18. Then after a short three and one-half years of peace, the new world ruler who brought the peace treaty, will have a statue of himself erected in the newly built temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount, and proclaim that the world should worship him.
This is the event that Jesus described in Matthew 24:15-22 called “The Abomination of Desolation”. This event will trigger the opening of the second seal in Revelation chapter 6 that will bring war. As the third through seventh seals are opened, the judgments and plagues upon earth grow progressively worse leading into the blowing of the seven trumpets and finally the pouring out of the seven bowls of Jesus wrath upon the earth. In the totality of these twenty-one judgments, nearly two-thirds of the population of the earth will perish. All those who refuse to take the mark of the beast and worship him, but instead chose Jesus Christ, will be beheaded as described in Revelation 20:4. It will be possible to be saved during the last three and one-half years of the Great Tribulation, but it will cost you your life. Important to remember that if a person cannot live for Jesus Christ now before the Great Tribulation begins, they most certainly will not be able to wait until the tribulation begins to die for Jesus Christ. Better to receive Him now while there is still time.

Prophecy Update: The Discovery of Oil in Israel and Ezekiel 38

Prophecy Update: The Discovery of Oil in Israel and Ezekiel 38

The other day I heard a well respected prophecy teacher say that it is believed that Israel is sitting in the middle of a dip stick oil field. This is said to be the best quality oil in the world and it is very deep much like a great funnel that spreads at the top throughout the entire Middle East. The best part is Israel is located at the lowest point below sea level in the world. This means that the oil will run down toward them. When Israel begins to harvest the oil reserves it will literally be siphoning the oil right out from under the Arab’s and probably the Russian’s as well. In time, they will eventually run dry as Israel sucks the oil away from the outer regions of the reserve and down toward them (Israel).
This could explain why, in the last days, Russia will lead the Arab world in a sneak attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38, 39). Before, I couldn’t quite understand why Russia would get involved in such an attack. Yes, they have been getting cozy with the Arab world as of late, but I never felt that was reason enough to attack Israel. There have also been rumors in the past that the Dead Sea was loaded with valuable minerals and other deposits, but to date, nothing has materialized of significance.
Particularly puzzling is the reason the Bible states why they will attack, “to take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38:12). But as I stated, Israel really has nothing of great value. That will all change if this exploration turns out to be as big as projected. It will also be fuel to the fire if it proves to pull oil away from other oil producer such as Russia. Oil has become a cash cow not only to the Arab world but to Russia as well. They are second only to Saudi Arabia in oil exports and production.
An interesting article out of Israel this morning shed more light on the probability of this being true: “Central Israel Oil Discovery: 1.5 Billion Barrels

The 9th of Av (July 19), An Important Prophetic Day

The 9th of Av (July 19), An Important Prophetic Day

This peculiar date on the Hebrew calendar seems to be a date of destiny. On the 9th of Av in the year 586 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Solomon’s Temple and deported the inhabitants of Jerusalem to Babylon. In 70 A.D. the Romans destroyed the Second Temple, unknowingly fulfilling Jesus’ predictions.2 Again, the date on the Hebrew calendar was the 9th of Av. After being delivered from Pharaoh’s slavery in Egypt through the Red Sea, and arriving at Kadesh-Barnea but lacking the faith to enter the Promised Land, God decreed that that generation would never enter His Land. It seems that this, too, was on the 9th of Av. The famous Bar Kokhba revolt against the Romans was squelched when Bethar, the last stronghold of the Jewish leaders, fell in 135 A.D. The date was the 9th of Av. One year later, in 136, the Roman Emperor Hadrian established the heathen temple to Jupiter on the site of the Jewish Temple and rebuilt Jerusalem as a pagan city named Aelia Capitolina, and renamed the land asPalestina, to distance its Jewish heritage. (This attempt to disavow the land from its Jewish roots was echoed by the British in their labeling the land “Palestine.”) The date when the Temple area was plowed under by the Romans was, again, the 9th of Av.

    Israel Wants Their Temple Back

    Israel Wants Their Temple Back

Israelis on Monday evening marked the beginning of Tisha B’Av, the national day of mourning over the loss of Israel’s ancient temples. The First Temple was destroyed 2,500 years ago by the Babylonians, and the Second Temple was demolished 2,000 years ago by the Romans. To mark the day, the Knesset TV Channel conducted a survey asking Israelis if they desire the building of a Third Temple. A 49 percent plurality said they do. Only 23 percent said they do not want a Third Temple. However, 48 percent said they don’t think the State of Israel should take active steps to reclaim control of the Temple Mount and build a Third Temple there. Israelis across the board fear the hostile and violent international and Muslim reaction that such a move would certainly evoke. The Muslim authorities that today control the Temple Mount play off those fears, and Jews are rarely allowed to visit the site. Jews and Christians alike are forbidden to utter prayers or carry Bibles atop the Temple Mount.

A Growing Interest for Jesus in Israel

A Growing Interest for Jesus in Israel

The Messianic ministry Revive Israel located just outside Jerusalem reports that its staff and partner ministries have experienced an upsurge in interest among secular and religious Israelis in the person and ministry of Yeshua (Jesus). In their latest newsletter, Sahar S. writes that a group of 40 young Israeli college students recently visited the Revive Israel offices to ask questions regarding Jesus and the New Testament for a course on Israeli history and culture. “They were surprised to discover that the promise of a new covenant is written in the Hebrew prophets (Jeremiah 31). The biggest news to them was that Yeshua loved the God of Israel and that His teachings were focused on a fulfillment of the moral law in the Ten Commandments (Matthew 5),” said Sahar. “A number of them came with pre-conceived ideas and even anger towards Messianic Jews. At the end of the meeting a young religious man came and admitted that his perspective had changed about who we are – Israeli Jews who believe in Yeshua.”

    Arguments Against a Palestinian State

    Arguments Against a Palestinian State

“Two-state” solution advocates warn that the Arabs between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean will soon outnumber the Jews, and that this necessitates a Palestinian state. The Sharon government, without public argumentation, used this demographic contention to justify its perfidious implementation of Labor’s policy of unilateral disengagement from Gaza in 2005. The Olmert-Livni government is using the same policy to withdraw from Judea and Samaria, including eastern Jerusalem.
However, a ground-breaking study by the American-Israel Demographic Research Group (www.aidrg.com) revealed in 2005 that Israel does not need to retreat from Judea and Samaria to secure Jewish demography. The study shows that the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics exaggerated the Arab population in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza by nearly 50%. Rather than 3.8 million Palestinians, it was no more than 2.4 million. Since those registered as Jews in Israel comprise almost 80% of Israel’s population, they make up a 59% majority with Gaza and Judea and Samaria, and a solid 67% majority with Judea and Samaria without Gaza!

Israel Practices Air Raid Drill in Prep for War

Israel launched its biggest air raid exercise Sunday to test its preparedness against possible missile strikes from Iranian-sponsored militant groups as international tensions rose over Tehran’s nuclear program.Skip related content Israel has called for strong economic sanctions against Iran over its nuclear plans but, in a hint of possible military action, has said all options were on the table should diplomacy fail to resolve the dispute. sraeli officials said the exercise, which will include sounding air raid sirens Wednesday, would focus on municipal authorities’ responses to a scenario in which missiles were launched from the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas Islamists, and by Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon. Both are allies of Iran.

Russia Gives Iran Sophisticated S-300 Anti-Missile System

Russia Gives Iran Sophisticated S-300 Anti-Missile System

Israel’s security suffered a major setback on the eve of its homeland war-safety exercise (starting Sunday, May 23) from three Obama administration concessions that were granted to buy Moscow’s backing for UN Security Council sanctions against Iran. One was the deletion of an embargo on sophisticated weaponry, including the suspended sale of Russian S-300 systems sought byTehran for shooting down any US or Israel warplanes attacking its nuclear sites.
As Israel prepared to drill millions of the country’s civilians to prepare for synchronized assault by hundreds of rockets and missiles from Iran, Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, Washington awarded Moscow, i.e. Tehran, three additional gains.

Israeli Defense Force Preparing for Mass Evacuations

Israeli Defense Force Preparing for Mass Evacuations

The Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command is putting together a plan for the mass evacuation of civilians in the event of missile and rocket attacks. Hezbollah’s rockets can currently hit practically everywhere in the country. The plan will be studied as part of next week’s nationwide Home Front Command exercise. Defense officials are preparing for war scenarios including massive missile strikes on the home front. The authorities are assuming that many rockets would be fired at the northern border, rockets with heavier warheads would be aimed at the greater Tel Aviv area, and some IDF bases might be the first targets.

Attack on Israel by Lebanon Planned for this Summer

A Soviet submarine has recently docked off the coast of Beirut Lebanon with an Iranian flag that most likely came out of the Russian Baltic Fleet. The men who offloaded the Submarine were wearing Gas masks and Has-Mat gear. this seems to be an indication that some sort of Chemical weapons are being offloaded from the Submarine into Lebanon under the control of Hezbollah.

Another startling development is the shipment of more advanced Scud missiles are being shipped from Syria to Hezbollah control in Lebanon. The number of these rockets and missiles that have been shipped into Lebanon are between 50-60,000. These missile have been placed in houses and building in southern Lebanon and are already aimed at Israel. The missiles that were fired at Israel in 2006 were launched from the mobile pop up launch systems placed on trucks.

Daniel 8:23-26 “And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means. “And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future.” Daniel was thrust into a world that he knew nothing about except for the prophecies given to him here concerning “Many days in the future”. The prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 gives us a description of some of those things that will occur during the time that the antichrist arises as a world ruler shortly after the Rapture of the Church.

    The Piece Process’

    The Piece Process’

For those of us who take the Bible seriously, it is a critical time to be up to date on our homework. There are many dangers in not taking the Word of God seriously.
The Land does not belong to the Palestinians. It doesn’t belong to the U.N. It specifically is the Lord’s.
Yes, “the earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof.”1 And yet, it is strange to note that there is a very specificparcel of real estate which has been set aside as His, and His alone.2
Last month we reviewed the Abrahamic Covenant.3 All the other covenants build on this one. And all of our benefits as Gentiles also derive from this one.
God delights in making and keeping promises. He takes them very seriously. This month we’ll review another covenant that will be impacting our near horizon.

    Ruth: A Romance of Redemption

    Ruth: A Romance of Redemption

This little four-chapter book is often studied (even in secular colleges) as a masterpiece in miniature for its romantic elegance and literary value- and its charming glimpse into life in ancient Israel.
It is a classic love story of loyalty and devotion, and yet it also contains some surprising insights that go far beyond the historical narrative itself.
One of the principal characters is Naomi, a Bethlehemite, who, because of a famine, migrates with her husband and her two sons to distant Moab. The two sons take Moabite women for wives. During the ten years that follow, Naomi’s husband and both her two sons pass away, leaving her destitute.
Upon hearing that things have turned for the better in her native Bethlehem, Naomi decides to return home. She encourages the two young girls to make new lives for themselves among their own people.

    Israel In Prophecy

    Israel In Prophecy

One of the biggest lies of the 20th century is “Terrorism does not pay.” Wrong. It does pay. Handsomely. And recent episodes in Japan and the Philippines have underscored the fact that terrorism is not confined to the Middle East.
Nelson Mandela, who for years headed a terrorist organization, is now head of state in South Africa and feted the world over. He has now received the prestigious Order of Merit from Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II.
A few days earlier, Gerry Adams of Ireland’s Sinn Fein/IRA was celebrated by the Clinton administration in the White House. In a 25-year terror campaign, the IRA has killed around 2,000 blameless people. Although nothing in the condition or treatment of the Roman Catholic minority in Northern Ireland justified the taking of one life, the IRA has now been rewarded with a capitulation by the government of Great Britain.

Israeli Army Chief: The Bible is Our Guide

Israeli Army Chief: The Bible is Our Guide

Israeli army chief Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi firmly stated last week that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) view the Bible as the number one influence on its conduct and mission.
“The IDF sees the Bible as a guide in the deep and practical sense of the word,” said Ashkenazi. “It is no accident that the IDF swears in its soldiers with a weapon in one hand and the Bible in the other – a custom that reflects the uniqueness of the IDF and the deep bond of the Jewish people to the Book of Books.”
Ashkenazi made his remarks last Wednesday at the opening of the 47th annual International Bible Quiz for Youth in Jerusalem.

US Expert Predicts ‘Oil and Gas Rush’ to Israel

US Expert Predicts ‘Oil and Gas Rush’ to Israel

A US energy industry expert estimates that international companies may soon join exploration efforts for oil and gas in Israel.
The expert, Fred Zeidman, told Globes website that it is very likely that international firms will join the exploration efforts on Israeli territory, a year after the ‘Tamar’ and ‘Dalit’ discoveries in the Mediterranean Sea. One international firm is already involved: Noble Energy, which was the partner of Delek and Isramco in the discoveries.
Two of Israel’s largest financial groups – Nochi Dankner’s IDB group and Ofer Nimrodi’s Israel Land Development – have also entered the sector.
    ‘A crazy rush’
“It happens all the time,” Zeidman said. “We see in the US that the moment a company discovers oil or gas that can be transported, there’s a crazy rush to the region by other companies, and that’s a function of the size of the reserves found. Around the world, as soon as Noble goes to a place, many other companies follow in its wake. The prospects here are amazing, and I have no doubt that we’ll see an economic boom, and a rush of more companies to Israel from overseas following Noble.”
The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that 122 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered, recoverable natural gas are in the Levant Basin Province in the eastern Mediterranean region, according to a new report.

The Miracle of the Survival of the Jewish People

The Miracle of the Survival of the Jewish People

Centuries ago an agnostic king of France was discussing philosophy and religion with his royal court counselor. After numerous arguments were presented by the Christian advisor in favor of the position that God had revealed Himself in the Holy Scriptures, the king finally demanded that his counselor prove to him that God existed in an argument using only two words. The counselor replied, “The Jews!” In those two words the counselor summed up one of the most miraculous demonstrations of God’s supernatural intervention in human history. The survival and prospering of the Jewish people during thousands of years of brutal persecution, pogroms, and the tragedy of six million Jews massacred in Hitler’s Holocaust is a mysterious miracle unparalleled in history.

    An Important Perpective on Israel

    An Important Perpective on Israel

As the daily news is continually filled with information about Israel, the Palestinians, Iran, and the United States position on matters that concern these issues, it is important to keep in perspective what all this is leading to.

The Bible details the final days of the earth in which all the world will be focused on one tiny country that is the center of all conflict. Israel was given to the Jews by God as a promise was made to Abraham that all the Land from Gaza to Syria and East all the way to Iran would belong to Israel forever. Although Israel has never fully obtained all this land given to them by God, nevertheless it still remains theirs by the Lords sovereignty. The land was given to Abraham’s son Isaac, the father of the Jews, not Ishmael the father of the Arab people.
