The Building of the Third Temple in Israel

The Building of the Third Temple in Israel

Revelation Chapter 11:1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 “But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. This is a truly amazing chapter in the Book of Revelation. Remember that this was written about 90 A.D., more than 1,900 years ago, and yet it speaks clearly of the temple in Jerusalem being measured. At the time John is writing this, their own temple had already been destroyed in 70 A.D. by Titus and his Roman army. John sees a temple that is future for him, the Third temple that will exist on this site, will not be built until the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period. You see, we have a bit of a problem right now, in that the Islamic Religious site, the “Dome of the Rock”, occupies the Temple mount site in Jerusalem. How is it that John knew 1900 years ago, that a gentile religious building would occupy the temple mount site, other than the temple itself? If you think about it, this is an outrageous thought to any Fundamentalist Jew. That a gentile religious site would share the temple mount site with their temple. And yet 1900 years ago, John sees that there is just such a structure there in the outer court of the temple, amazing!

    The Signs of Jesus Return

The purpose of Bible prophecy is so that we might know that the Bible is not just another book penned by men, but a supernatural document with it’s source from outside time and space. The Bible is unique in that it makes predictions of the future with such detail and precision, that the slightest error would make any one of those prophecies unreliable. In over 2,500 Biblical prophecies, every single minute detail has been completed with precision and accuracy. The odds of any book being able to predict over 2,5o0 events in advance with 100 percent accuracy, is beyond the possibility of chance. The certainty of the fulfillment of these events already predicted and already fulfilled, gives confidence to the remaining 1,000 prophetic predictions that are yet to be fulfilled. If the Bible has been perfectly accurate so far, it is certain that the events spoken of describing the last days before Jesus returns, most certainly will also be fulfilled accurately. The following is a short list of some of those prophetic events already fulfilled, to be fulfilled and in the process of being fulfilled.

This article and the importance of the details of this article, are the reason that I started Bible Prophecy Update. So that you might realize that the Lord of the Universe has a plan that He has been unfolding for thousands of years, and that plan includes His desire to make Himself known to you. As you read, study and become familiar with the events of Bible prophecy, you will realize that the Lord is who He claims to be. That there is a God who is above all creation and who loves every human being equally and with great fervor. When we failed to be what He had created us to be and the defect of sin spread to all human kind, He took it upon Himself to become one of us, and give His life in exchange for all of ours. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on a Roman cross 2,000 years ago, paid the price all of us owed for our own individual and collective sins, forever. If you will place your complete trust in what Jesus has done for you at the Cross, and accept Jesus as your own Savior, you will be cleansed of your total sin and obtain eternal life.

When Jesus returns next, it will not be physically to the earth, but to the atmosphere above earth, from where He will call out of the earth all those who have already come into a personal relationship with Him and have accepted His sacrifice for their sins. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

    Prophecy Unfolding: Turkey’s New Role

    Prophecy Unfolding: Turkey’s New Role

JERUSALEM, Israel — When Israel’s defense of its Gaza naval blockade in May turned deadly, it set off a worldwide firestorm of criticism. While Israel may seem more isolated than ever, some Jews see the pages of Scripture coming alive in this latest Middle East crisis.
    Turkey’s New Alliance?
The Jewish state has contended that the Israel Defense Forces’ interception the pro-Palestinian flotilla was part of an effort to keep weapons out of Hamas-controlled Gaza. However, that argument didn’t stop an international rush to judgment. The U.N. Security Council issued a statement condemning Israel and called for an investigation, while Sweden, Ireland and other nations planned boycotts against the Israel. The flotilla incident also revealed Turkey as a major new player in the Middle East. Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdowan vehemently attacked Israel over the incident, shifting his allegiance toward Iran, Syria and their axis of power.

    A Special Prophetic Study: ‘Watch’

    A Special Prophetic Study: ‘Watch’

“I believe that Jesus is coming, probably in my lifetime, but I am not sure if Jesus is coming at any moment!” As a Bible Teacher, I never want to be found teaching that Jesus cannot come in the next 60 minutes. That category of Bible teachers who say that Jesus cannot come until the events of the tribulation happen. This is a dangerous place to be, why? Because Jesus said that the one who begins to think this way in his heart is “An Evil Servant!”
To dig into the Holy Spirits meaning here, lets look at the Original Greek word here for “Evil” “Evil” servant comes from the Greek word “Kakos”, it means “Something that was once good but now has gone bad.” An instrument that goes out of tune, it once was in tune but it is now out of tune. I have a guitar that once was in tune and played beautifully, but now it has gone out of tune… I have a barrel of apples, but now one of those apples in the barrel has gone bad How did the servant go bad, by losing that watchfulness that Jesus can com at any moment By beginning to believe that Jesus may not be coming immediately, he begins to go bad Now, as believers in Jesus, we are falling into this “evil servant” thought when we do two things:

    What Is Prophecy?

    What Is Prophecy?

There is more than simple curiosity that lies behind man’s attempt to perceive the future. Practical business requires forecasts and an understanding of what Peter Drucker calls the ”futurity of todays decisions.” Forecasts underlie all decisions, whether they be market planning, inventory management, establishing cash flow requirements, or staffing an enterprise. Managers solve problems; executives anticipate them. National security depends on threat assessments – strategic or tactical. Empires have been established – or destroyed – on the basis of anticipated implications of technology and other changes. Our personal decisions about education, careers, and raising a family, or buying a new home, all rely on our perceptions – or more precisely, our presumptions – about the future.

Russia Gives Iran Sophisticated S-300 Anti-Missile System

Israel’s security suffered a major setback on the eve of its homeland war-safety exercise (starting Sunday, May 23) from three Obama administration concessions that were granted to buy Moscow’s backing for UN Security Council sanctions against Iran. One was the deletion of an embargo on sophisticated weaponry, including the suspended sale of Russian S-300 systems sought byTehran for shooting down any US or Israel warplanes attacking its nuclear sites.
As Israel prepared to drill millions of the country’s civilians to prepare for synchronized assault by hundreds of rockets and missiles from Iran, Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, Washington awarded Moscow, i.e. Tehran, three additional gains.

    The Debate Over The Antichrist

    The Debate Over The Antichrist

Does the beast of Revelation involve Middle Eastern Muslim nations, is it exclusively European, or is it both? Some say the notion that Islam could play a prominent role in the coming revival of the Roman Empire is impossible, unorthodox, untraditional, the work of “Lone Ranger” type interpretation, and even revisionist.1
The majority of American evangelicals believe that the Antichrist system must be exclusively European, yet this view is changing after the last few years with the rise of Islam.
So, could Islam play a role in the end-times scenario? You might think to yourself—so what? Why should we care? Well, why then did the Almighty give us Daniel and Revelation? Even better still, why did God give us all the Messianic prophesies regarding Jesus’ first coming? Careless followers that missed these ended up without salvation, regardless of whether they sacrificed lambs in the Temple or obeyed the law—when it comes to the issue of Messiah, they missed the most crucial event in history. All for not paying close attention to Bible prophecy.

The Millennium: The Coming of Jesus Kingdom

The Millennium: The Coming of Jesus Kingdom

It is tragic that most of the major denominations – Roman Catholic and Protestant – embrace an eschatology (“study of last things”) that is amillennial : a view that does not envision a literal rule of Christ on the Throne of David on the Planet Earth.
While there are many different, yet defendable, views regarding many aspects of end-time prophecies, this basic divergence – denying a literal Millennium – is particularly dangerous in that it would appear to be an attack on the very character of God! It does violence to His numerous and explicit promises and commitments that pervade both the Old and New Testaments.

Behold a Black Horse: Global Inflation

Behold a Black Horse: Global Inflation

The black horseman of the Book of Revelation speaks of a condition wherein a man’s daily wages are so poor, he can barely support himself, much less his family.
For the first time in the history of mankind we are seeing a condition which could fulfill that prophecy: global monetary inflation.
When economic “experts” talk about inflation, they mean a rise in the prices of commodities we buy.
    According to Grolier’s On-line Encyclopedia:
Inflation is a process in which the average level of prices increases at a substantial rate over a considerable period of time. In short, more money is required to buy a given amount of goods and services…1
That definition is incorrect, but it does represent a subtle change the economic establishment has inserted into American thinking.
The definition of inflation in Webster’s 1957 New 20th-Century Unabridged Dictionary of English Language is more accurate:
Inflation: an increase in the amount of currency in circulation, resulting in a relatively sharp and sudden fall in its value and a rise in prices.2

    Global Pestilence Outbreak

    Global Pestilence Outbreak

In 1976, Karl Johnson, a world-renowned expert on infectious diseases for the Center for Disease Control (CDC), received an urgent phone call: “An entire hospital has been wiped out and we still don’t know what’s behind the outbreak!”
Johnson boarded the next plane for Central Africa and there, near the fetid banks of the Ebola River in Northwestern Zaire, a horrible fever of unknown origin was raging. Several hundred deaths later, the disease vanished as mysteriously as it had appeared. The researchers eventually determined that it was a blood-borne virus, unprecedented, until then, in medical history.

Will We See Jesus Return in Our Generation?

Will We See Jesus Return in Our Generation?

We know from the Scriptures that the first generation began with Adam and Eve. Noah was the tenth generation. Which generation do we represent? And, which generation of people was Christ talking about that would see His return when He said: “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” (Mt 24:34)? The answer to this elusive, 2000-year-old question may be closer than we think, if the many prophecies we see converging on the horizon continue their march towards fulfillment in the 21st century.

    An Important Perpective on Israel

    An Important Perpective on Israel

As the daily news is continually filled with information about Israel, the Palestinians, Iran, and the United States position on matters that concern these issues, it is important to keep in perspective what all this is leading to.

The Bible details the final days of the earth in which all the world will be focused on one tiny country that is the center of all conflict. Israel was given to the Jews by God as a promise was made to Abraham that all the Land from Gaza to Syria and East all the way to Iran would belong to Israel forever. Although Israel has never fully obtained all this land given to them by God, nevertheless it still remains theirs by the Lords sovereignty. The land was given to Abraham’s son Isaac, the father of the Jews, not Ishmael the father of the Arab people.

Strange Weather Changes A Sign of the Last Days

The historic nor’easter snowstorm, wicked Southern cold, are all part of the weather pattern deemedEl Niño (AKA the little boy or “Christ child,” a name given by fisherman). While he started off weak in 2009, the phenomena of “unusually warm” Pacific waters portend storms coast to coast, and mighthang around through spring.
Weather tantrums aside, El Niño hasn’t been all bad so far: The pattern may have helped squelch the hurricane season, and it explains the weird bouts of warmer-than-usual autumns in New England. And while El Niño can’t take all the blame for current witheringly cold conditions in some parts, he will, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), “exert a significant influence on the global weather and climate in the coming months.”

    Islamic Mahdi v. the Antichtrist

The Biblical concept of the Antichrist spirit and the final manifestation of the Antichrist (ho antichristos), was explained in the first part of this series, Understanding the Antichrist, Part I. We will now turn our attention to this very interesting Muslim teaching that is relatively unknown in the West.

The Islamic teaching that I am alluding to is that of the soon coming Islamic savior, Al Mahdi.

A respected pastor, best-selling author and founder of a major ministry to teens predicts an imminent “earth-shattering calamity” centered in New York City that will spread to major urban areas across the country and around the world – part of what he sees as a judgment from God.

David Wilkerson, author of “The Cross and the Switchblade,” a book about his ministry to troubled New York street kids that was later made into a movie starring Pat Boone, tells readers of his blog this weekend that he is “compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message” about his prediction.

Israel and Jordan Conduct Exercises in the Valley of Armageddon

Israel and Jordan Conduct Exercises in the Valley of Armageddon

In an article by the Jerusalem Post on November 10, 2009, it has been learned that Israel and Jordan have conducted joint exercises in the Beit She’an Valley. This valley is at the juction of the Jordan river and the Jezreel valley where many major battles have been fought in the past, and the location of the Battle of Armageddon that will be fought as described in the Book of Revelation.

Upon the Lord’s return with all those who have been raptured just prior to the beginning of the seven Year Tribulation, Jesus will go to this area spoken of in this article by the Jerusalem Post and destroy the waiting army of the antichrist which has been assembled to destroy Jesus and all we who love Him. The Lord will slay everyone who has come to fight against Him, leaving the blood from this battle to the depth of a horses bridle for the entire length of the valley of Megiddo, over 200 miles
